Took a fleet vehicle here for an oil change today. When I arrived, no one noticed me standing in the office for two minutes, even though there was no other vehicles, and everyone was just sitting in the shop on their phones. The employee, Kevin, almost seemed offended that I was there, and then was super quiet, and when he did speak it felt like he had an attitude, very uninformative about what was going on or what steps he's taking next, even thought I was standing right there by the counter. Highly recommend some retraining on the customer service aspect of the job. This place is a joke. I brought my car here all the time in the past. They've done tire rotations, oil changes, everything for me in the past. Today I brought my car here because my hood won't open. The guy told me that they couldn't find the latch and couldn't replace the latch and didn't know really what was wrong with it.I have a Ford mustang cobra. How difficult is it to find parts for a Ford? Then told me I needed new tie rods. But wouldn't be able to get my wheels off my car because there are wheel locks on it. When I've literally never had this issue before. So how are they going to replace my tie rods if they can't get the wheels off? When I proceeded to tell him they've done this work before. He told me that nobody that used to work here ....works at this place anymore. They did a complete overhaul in their employee department. So basically all the great guys left and these morons are now working here. I also got a phone call from him saying that my car was ready to be picked up. I'm sitting in the waiting area...waiting.... when I get a text saying my car is being is ready to be picked up. And I've been sitting here for 10 minutes.. my car is not ready to be picked up. Today we had a very stressful situation- we were driving to take my son to do his DMV test and I notices that the break light on the right side is not working. The DMV we have to go to is 40 min away because of the COVID situation not all are open. So frantically we had to stop at the nearest place and I'm so thankful we drove into this PepBoys and were treated by Ian. I took my Jag in for a vibration in the steering wheel. Figured it was a wheel balance issue. I made an appt online and when I arrived for my appt, they took the car in immediately. They did a quick inspection of the front end and then checked the four tires. Sure enough, one was off a bit and one was off a lot. Scott was at the front desk and he and the techs were good to work with. They fixed the issue quickly and I was on the road in no time. Scott has treated me really well when I come in. I was told I needed brakes and I came in preparing for a huge bill. Scott told me my front brakes were perfect and my dears still had time. Very honest. Then a week or two later I needed a new battery and came in on my lunch break. Absolutely hands down the best place to go for all of your repair needs! Went there last year when several places (including Sears) told me that my vehicle (which is an 04 Kia Sorento) was blown up and there was nothing they could do. I called the Pep Boys in Spring Hill and they referred me to this one. They were extremely friendly and reasonable and found the problem, which turned out to be a harmonic balancer/pully/bearings in the pully. My vehicle has ran great ever since. Today I ran over a huge screw (thankfully only 3 miles away consindering I live in Port Richey), got it in, patched it up and got it out all in about 10 minutes are so. I am so greatful for the mechanics here, and will reccomend them to everyone I know. They are friendly, honest, knowledgable, affordable and fast. read more

I ended up with a nail in my tire and took it to Hyundai where I bought the car and they were just willing to put air in and not fix it for me because they said they did not have the time. So I drove North on US 19 across from Home Depot and pulled into Pep Boys. They immediately took my car in plugged the tire for me and I was on my way within 15 minutes. So nice to deal with an operation that takes care of their customers and in efficient way and cares that the customers needs were taken care of. read more

Change the name to Rip Boys! The service writers must be working on commission. Their parts and services way overpriced, and they do not honor their advertisement to match any competitor's price. Scott tried to convince me to purchase a radiator that I did not need for over $600 installed and then when I brought back a quote from someone else to do it for 225 they did not honor that quote. Scott was extremely patient and helpful diagnosing the issue with my rough running motor in my ford ranger. They were the only mechanic that would agree to run a full engine diagnostics and take the $99 charge off my bill if they did the service work on my vehicle. Diagnosis cylinder one was misfiring, the replaced the plugs and wires including labor and diagnostics for $270. The problem was not completely solved, they allowed me to come back run a 2nd diagnosis and fixed the issue completely at no additional charge. I'm certain other shops would've charged an additional fee. They were honest, patient and truly wanted to fix my vehicle as quickly and as inexpensive as possible. This is exactly what I was looking for and couldn't ask for a better experience when having my car serviced. Overall enjoyable experience when frustrated with a vehicle that isn't running right and I'm from out of state. Keep up the good work and excellent customer service read more

Amazing service from Dakota the service manager and the techs Justin and Jamie have integrity you don't see in this day and age! I came in to get four new tires they showed me my tires and said they still have a lot of tread. One of the tires had a puncture on the side wall that needed to be replaced. They said I only really needed two new tires, it ended up being less to just get 4 with there sale going on at this time. I opted for the 4 and am taking two home as they are still in great shape. The professionalism at this location is uncommon that I have encountered in years. Due to the above they now have a customer that will be loyal to them and tell everyone to use their services. I came in with a certain amount of cash thinking i had it covered, but it was actually 30 bucks more. Took my car in yesterday for a few problems I was having- ABS and traction control lights being part of it. I made an appointment for 3:30pm on 8/25 and was told it'd be ready first thing in the morning as I needed it to be so I could make it to my new job I started this morning. They ended up changing it and saying it'd be ready about 12pm so I made other arrangements for work. I never received a call or anything so I called around 4:45pm after I got off work as I'm on my way to get it and they had told me "oh wait I think something else is wrong with it it's still in the garage". Annoying. Eventually when I did get my car later on this evening, the guy Michael who gave me the keys back told me that it might not feel like it's fixed and to wait about a week and see if it feels better, which I thought was a little odd. As I'm driving off the lot my car still had the same issues with the engine making an unnecessarily loud noises, not accelerating to its normal potential and my ABS and traction control lights on. So I called the shop back and spoke to Michael and asked why none of the problems that I had taken it in for were fixed when I was just charged over $400.00. His answer was "oh yeah um I heard the mechanic saying something about that" and puts me on hold for over 15 minutes just to tell me that it is my axel that is ruined and is causing all of the problems not the wheel barring and hub that they replaced and charged me for when I had just had that replaced less than 6 months ago. The only thing he could say was "well you can bring it back in and we will look at it for free..." YEAH SO YOU CAN CHARGE ME ANOTHER $400.00 NOTHING!!! Don't take your car here unless you want to get ripped off and lied to. read more

I've taken both my wife and I's cars here for about 5 years. I've always had faith that they were treating me fairly. Today I took my car in for a brake job and when they called back they recommended a service. Normally you expect this. My issue is they had just performed that service (timing belt) less than 6 months ago. Not only did they suggest a unneeded repair they didn't bother looking my account up or checking the actual belt. I have never met people like them in my whole life. No one that goes above and beyond like they do. If they left for another store I would follow them.
