This is the worst oil change place in Pinellas County. Twice they did not tighten the oil filter and I ended up with a mess in my driveway. Also noticed greasy fingerprints on my hood. Went back to get it fixed but found a one hour wait. There were only two people working and two lines of cars not moving. Don't go there. read more

Date of Service: 9/14/23 I went for a regular oil change, they looked extremely short staffed, lacking all professionalism. I had the cheaper $55 duoromax synthetic blend installed. At the very end the technician, was extremely pushy about wanting a tip which I declined to give and reminded him that tipping is optional. Once I arrived home I examined my car and not one of these guys who performed my oil change wore any gloves. So, I had oil marks everywhere on my car, oil fingerprints, smudges and black marks on my white Ford C-Max, see photos. I am currently disputing the charge due to the cost of having to have my car cleaned and detailed which far exceeds the cost of the oil change. I placed a call with 5 min oil change, and was told a district manager would me, and they never did. I will never ever come back or recommend anyone go there. read more

I have been sitting in the line for almost two hours... there are only six cars here total for oil changes

We had our Volkswagen serviced here and then our check engine light came on. I had noticed the car was not accelerating properly, and the engine was misfiring. I scheduled service at the local Volkswagen dealership for diagnostics where they discovered the oil cap extension tube had been damaged. The oil cap was not securely fastened due to the broken brackets. This caused a vacuum leak which was causing the car to misfire. I reached back out to Take 5 and submitted a claim to be reimbursed for the repair costs, but they rejected it. Going back to the day of the oil change I remember the technicians dropping something that caused a rather loud noise. They also used a vaccine pump to remove the oil instead of draining it. To me it's pretty clear who caused the damage unfortunately, their corporate claims department doesn't agree. I will never trust them to work on my car again. read more

Take 5 Oil change treated my truck like a piece of garbage. Initial customer service was amazing with Fernando, however, as soon as Armando, or whatever his name is, touched my truck, everything went downhill from there. Armando spilled oil all over my engine and truck. He chuckled about it while I was watching him from the inside of my truck. He proceeded to try again to pour the oil into my engine and spilled it AGAIN. I did not receive any oil other than what was left in the jug before they were able to actually put it in my engine, meaning, I did not get all the oil I paid for. And I was just told that my oil was at a safe level and I was good to go, the manager even told me " I'm not gonna hold it to you, that was a lot of oil" The worst part is, the next morning when I got to school I realized there was oil on the side of my truck and on my hood. There were two literal fingerprints from where they went to close my hood after spilling oil everywhere. by the time I got home from school, I could not take the oil off and it has actually eaten away at the paint of my truck. I made a formal complaint, or at least I think I did because I have yet to receive a voicemail or a call back from take five oil change and it's been about a week now. If I were you, I would take your car to any other place than this one. Worst experience ever. read more

I went in around the morning time on a Sunday to get my oil change. All 3 workers were very rude and when I said I didn't have an appointment they rudely asked " well what are you here for" one of the workers even said " I don't even wanna be here today working ". They charged me 79$ for the oil change. On the list they printed out for me it said my tiers had been re filled and my coolant had also been refilled. Both were not done at all. My tiers low pressure light came on 3 days after they had supposedly been filled back up. I will now have to take my car to the ford dealership and spend even more money to make sure my car is in correct shape. All three of the workers looked high and were obnoxiously loud during the whole ordeal. If I could give is a 0 star rating i would. Stay away from this place. read more

Terrible service and poor management. The location has 2 bays; when I pulled in there was a car in each bay and the manager waved me behind the car in the left bay. I waited 5 minutes, I waited 10 minutes - than after 13 minutes, another car entered the lot and they waved him behind the car on the right. After 15 minutes, the car on the right left and the guy that had just been there 2 minutes was allowed to enter, when I had been waiting for 15 minutes. So, not only are they not able to get the oil changed in 10 minutes, they have poor management - there is no way that car should have gone before me. I left and will never go there again - would not recommend it to anyone!!! read more

Take 5 Oil Change is the nightmare that won't go away. Now I know why it took 1.5 hours in the service bay. They stripped the oil drain plug. Their area manager was NOT interested in making it right last year when I had to go elsewhere to buy the antifreeze that they didn't have. What a JOKE this place is! Stay Away!! read more

A big shout out to 2 local businesses that were super helpful this afternoon! Take 5 on Main in Dunedin bought me some time when my radiator hose was spewing fluid all over, causing smoke from bellowing out from the hood of our van after work. They couldn't do much beyond topping off the fluid for me, and assessing the situation. I don't have names for the guys there that jumped into help, but they were all super kind. They helped me out and then directed me to COOPER'S Automotive Repair on Hercules in Clearwater. By this time, it was minutes before 5PM closing time, and they didn't hesitate to jump in and help. Frank & Tom were fantastic!! Very kind and generous with their time , considering they could've been on the road home instead of helping to relieve my stress. I'll definitely be a returning customer for Cooper's and have already been a consistent customer to Take 5. Thank you so much!! Hope you'll support their businesses, too!!! read more

I waited in line for over an hour. I had went to the company's sister location but this was closer for me. When I finally told them I would like my normal oil change one of the workers asked me if I brought my own equipment. I was confused because when I went to their other location I did not need to bring anything with me to get this service done. He apologized said he did not have the parts to do the job and to move along bc there were other vehicles in need of service. read more

Brought my car in and they didn't put the skid plate under engine back on tightly and next time I went in they said it was hanging down. They were the only ones that touched it the last time I got an oil change. Went to my regular mechanic and he mounted it back up. He also noticed my oil filter wasn't on tight and was leaking oil. I guess that's what I get for taking it here. Never have any luck with these quick oil change places. I won't be returning. Too bad the employees aren't trained well or qualified. I guess that why they only make $10 an hour. read more

I usually change the oil in my car. I took it to the Dunedin Take 5 for two oil changes in the last year. I had to tell them the second time that the proper inflation for the tires is 32 psi, not 42 (!!!!) which is over the max pressure this tire should ever have on any vehicle. The car rode like it was on basketballs after the first service. I did an oil change on this car again recently. Found an oil filter that was only 2/3rds the size of the one spec'd for the car. It was tiny. Then I found that the oil pan plug was torqued to 40 ft-lbs. It should have just been snug, not a fight to move it. They screwed up the threads on the plug and quite possibly the oil pan. NEVER LETTING THEM TOUCH MY CAR AGAIN. Sold my stock that I had in the parent company. STAY AWAY. read more

Very disappointed in this business, the old bait and switch. Was quoted $84 on the phone gave them the make and year of the vehicle, told them it needed full synthetic. I got here and the technician said it was $102, after I waited half an hour in line. when I explained that I called and they quoted me $84 he said that's not for a foreign vehicle only American made. clearly will not be using this business ever again could've got a better deal over at Subaru. After speaking to the manager, his answer was a lot of people come in and complain about that. I guess enough said. read more

Hustlers. Will fast talk and brow beat you until you are confused and then charge you way more. I pulled in and the guy said $36. Because my car takes 7 quarts he told me it would be more. Then he tried to sell me an $89 oil change. I told him I really couldn't spend that much because money is tight right now. He said he could get it to $48. Higher but there wasn't much I could do because they were already working on it. When I go to pay he says $69 because the $48 didn't include the 2 extra quarts. He was purposely misleading. It seems discounts can be given out depending on how much they can sell you on top. I hate slimy people that just try to hustle good honest folks. read more

So what had happened was...I was slightly overdue on an oil swap. I've been dealing with the dealership for so long. This time, I decided to see what this place was about. My time is money, so hells yeah! I called them up not understanding the awesomeness and a nice dude told me to just roll thru. He greeted me at the bay and told me to drive in. One of the most amazing oil change experiences of my life! After being turned down by my dealership and another place because they "didn't have enough staff" I came across this place. I pulled up and and my minds stereotype was immediately shut down. I was offered water, a Caprisun, and dog biscuits.
