Many of you may not know but Firestone is the same company as Tires Plus so if you get any kind of warrenty or lifetime deal, you can go to either locations. I didn't know that until recently when I had Tires Plus change my last flat tire but I had my alignment done at Firestone. Firestone talked me into getting the lifetime alignment deal because I'll be honest, I seem to have curbs jump out at me often, but anyway I was having a little trouble getting an appointment for the day I needed so they suggested that I try a Tires Plus. Awesome, I have one about 5 blocks from my place. Appointment was made for the day and time I needed and I opted in to stay and wait for them to do the alignment. Much to my surprise and delight, this curb instance didn't really do too much so they had me out of there in 30 minutes. Perfect. Great and friendly service, zero issues and my car again drives straight. LOL read more

The associates at the Tire Plus on hwy 19 Palm Harbor, FL are dishonest. I had to go there too many times. The first time i went i told them to scan the codes to see what the issues was as my check engine light was on. I had to go a few more times for additional repairs That they put on the receipts. But they never scanned the dash to get the codes. It was on my paperwork where i asked them to scan the dash. But they never did. Yet another repair issue pops up. I have a private mechanic and he was out of town or i would have never gone to your store. But i had an emergency with my car. The first repair was a coolent leak and i told the associate to do add an oil change. When i came to pick up my truck they had not completed the oil change. The associate said the reason they did not get to the oil change is because he had a guy quit in the middle of a wheel bearing job. This says a lot about your company. I have the video of the associate telling me one their tire plus employees quit in the middle of the wheel bearing job. I feel like they made up repairs. Ther said certain fluids were low. I keep my fluids topped off. But when i got my truck from tire plus my fluids were low. Your company is very shady. One of the parts that they said was bad was a mass air flow sensor. I told the associate at the very beginning that i just replaced the mass air flow sensor and a solenoid valve. But my mechanic told me he didn't have the tools to reset the lights on the dash. I told associate to scan the dash and that it needed reset. Again they never scanned the dash even though every receipt i have from them says to scan the dash. I also have video of me asking the associate why did they never scan the dash but put all the new problems on my receipt. He had a deer in the headlights look and then said it needed diagnostic. Next problem was a bad alternator and they were trying to charge me $1200. I said you guys are crazy. I had my vehicle towed to my mechanic and he put in a new alternator in for $600. I reached out to head quarters to file a complaint. They replied that they would escalate it to a higher level and someone would get in touch with me. It's been weeks and nothing. So be careful utilizing this company. read more

I arrived at tar plus this morning at six thirty. Knowing they open at seven. As I figured I would be the first one there. I had a Doctor's appointment with the v.A at ten o'clock so had plenty of time for them to fix a tire and get me on the road. They had no problem working on C r v for twenty two hundred dollars. When they unlocked the door I walked in told the guy I had something in my car and I needed to get it fixed.I had a doctor's appointment. Very surprising to the return I got was.We're extremely busy.I can't get to a tire patch until after one o'clock. I told him I have a Doctor's appointment at 10 o'clock.I'm a disabled vet. Pretty much can't do anything for you. I will ask my brothers and sisters in pinellas county and Palm Harbor to boycott this store.. If this is how they want to treat vets, we don't need them.We don't need to support their business. I know, some of you will disagree with me.You've had good luck there.I had good luck until this time.And that's all it takes.Us one time for me to post something like that. First time ever using this company. Only gave them a chance because they are associated with Firestone. Won't do it again!! Decided to get brakes, alignment, and 4 tires. Get everything done for around $1100. However, get a call AFTER service is done that TP did everything for my breaks but somehow they forgot to check something before the work, even though he told me he knew they didn't work because they had to pry something open. Instead of calling me to let me know and give me a choice if I want to continue, Damon goes ahead and has guys add that extra service just to tell me afterward that it would cost another $551 for a service I did not okay. I told him, I would not be giving him that after being charged and just to give me my car. I noticed a man call earlier for his daughter and got my dad on them! Got all that done on 2/14 for me to have a flat on 2/21, a literal week later. Get to TP and he tells me I don't have Roadside and if they can't fix it, will need a new tire. Roadside was not explained to me, I was just asked if I wanted it. Thought it was like my insurance service so turned it down. Did not realize it was the road warranty for the tire. Needless to say, I'm over it! Walmart would NEVA!!! This location has too many shady practices, especially when it comes to women. I did feel like I was being preyed on for lack of knowledge and when I would ask questions, I would get treated like, who are you to ask questions. He realized I had a little bit of money and kept trying to tax me for everything. I don't mind paying for quality, but this ain't it!!! FIRESTONE, don't let these acquisitions mess up the quality the company is known for. I called to get an estimate on Michelin tires. The guy was pushy and tried to push Cooper tires on me. He said they were better than Michelin's. That's just an opinion, I don't buy it, but OK. He then said the Michelin's were no longer being manufactured in my size. This is completely untrue. I believe he lied to try to make a sale and was pushy about it. No thanks! read more

We have used 5 locations in the TB area, based on home of work convenience. They are consistent on delivering quality. Reasonably priced tires + warranty, regular sales to plan the larger purchases. I purchased a new battery at Tires Plus less than 2 years ago. I was told there was a two year warranty. I tried to start my car yesterday Sunday February 19, 2024 it wouldn't start. I tried calling Tires Plus where I had purchased the battery, hours of operation were Sunday 9-4 I was calling Sunday morning no one answered. I then called AAA Daniel came out and put in a new battery, I made a point to Daniel (from AAA) I thought this battery was still under warranty and I wanted to keep the battery for returning to Tires Plus. I arranged to get the battery back from Pete's Towing. I spoke to the manager, Jason at Tires Plus he informed me I couldn't just bring the battery back as all he was going to do is put another battery in my car and return bad battery back to manufacturer. I am stuck with having paid $246.00 for a new battery that should have been under warranty. I think Jason could have taken the battery back but he chose not to. I have an account with Tires Plus as I recently bought 4 new tires and engine service total was over $1000.00. First of all check your old tires before you purchase new ones because they say there bald there tire gauge is way off, we brought our own and measured right in front of them, they are fine. I am new to Florida and have not established a list of reputable business' yet. This week my "low tire" pressure light came on and my Jeep started to drive funny. I could not find a free air pressure tank at local gas stations -- I don't carry coins with me. So took a chance at Tire Plus. I was told to bring my Jeep to a bay and a gentleman immediately came out to check tire pressure in each tire, including the spare. I told him the tires are not the original and the PSI I read was 50. He explained that the number found on the tag inside the door frame, which read 35, was the correct PSI. Hey proceeded to check and all were low about 30-31 PSI. Thank goodness I did not do this myself for I might have had a tire explode - who knows. My point is Tire Plus took very good care of me and my Jeep without any charge. I was nervous but they made me feel safe. I now have a honest place to visit in the future for my car needs/services. I've always gone here for new tires. Got new tires two weeks ago. A bubble from a tire defect appeared on the sidewall near the rim. Called and spoke to Jason beck, the store manager. He told me it would be a full charge to replace it. I drove this car for 30,000 miles with old tires before replacing them. Got new ones and within two weeks a bubble appears. Never hit a curb or pot hold as he claims I did. I advised him that I always come to them for new tires and if I couldn't get it replaced, I'd never be back. Went in for oil change and was told I needed new rear tires, they were " Tore up". My mother is on the return call in the system. Of course she flips out and told him I just had them checked in December, there is no way in 3 months I need new tires. Then she told him i have a lifetime rotation and he told her I only had it on one tire which I got cause a flat tire back in December. How do you have a tire rotation on one tire? I go in to pick up my car and he tells me he wants to speak to my mother because he doesn't like every time she goes in there she says she doesn't trust him and why we keeping going back there. Any way by the end of the convo I told him I just had a flat in December and had them checked to see if If the others needed to be replaced, which was by firestone not tire plus. They said they are in really good condition and there is no reason to get any new ones for a while. He said maybe his guys didn't have it up in the air to do a good inspection of the tires then proceeded to give me a paper of how much they would cost. I was so pissed I filed a complaint which was never followed up, so I filed another complaint and was suppose to hear from a district manager and that never happened. We discovered Tires Plus a year and a half ago through Groupon. Since then, we have been back a half dozen times for oil changes, tire rotations, and other general maintenance. Despite being a 'chain' store, this Tires Plus is absolutely wonderful. All of the technicians are extremely friendly and easy to work with. They are polite, they take the time to carefully explain any issue and suggest solutions, and have never tried to take advantage of me, despite me being a younger woman with only a basic understanding of car mechanics. The last time we went, we had a handful of problems diagnosed that would cost us a couple thousand at any other mechanic. Tires Plus had it fixed for about two hundred - and the problem turned out to be something entirely different! The location offers wi-fi, so I drop off the car and play games on my netbook until the car is done. This is, in my opinion, a great addition to any car place! It definitely takes the edge off of waiting. I wish other mechanics could be as nice, skilled, and trustworthy as the folks at this particular Tires Plus. Even though it is a little further away than other stores in the chain, this location is the one that we will seek out for any work to be done. read more

I bought tires Oct. 2020 and paid for installation, balance and alignment. The shop wasn't able to do the alignment and the balance of the tires was off. I had to get a refund for the alignment. My car is a Lexus RC350 and they had a new high school kid do the front tire mounting and balancing. NOT GOOD work. The rims got marked up and the metal air caps went missing even though I asked them to re-use my metal air caps. I drove 8,000 miles and have a vibration at 60 mph so I scheduled a new balance of my tires for today at a cost of $7/tire even though it was a lifetime rotation and balance. I arrived as scheduled and the manager-Dave (that I spoke to on the phone) said it would be at least two hours before they got to my car. Why waste my time Dave? This is the second time with a problem so here is my review. This store goes through managers and tire installers and nothing is ever done right the first time. They will waste your time. I was in town due to a death in the family and had a tire slowly loosing pressure so every day I would have to add air. I have used tires plus in my hometown of Pensacola and was pleased with their service so I stopped here. Long story short, it couldn't be fixed or patched and to top it off it was a very rare tire and size. I was told it would take several days even if they could find a match to my other tires. So here I was, stuck out of town without wheels. But then I got a call early next day and Dale Ramroop found exactly what I needed by the next morning. He did this without even knowing I was in town for my daughters funeral. Everyone there bent over backwards to make my very emotional trip to Clearwater less stressful. This was the first time I've been to the Palm Harbor Tires Plus location and I will definitely never be back. I left frustrated and disappointed with my experience only to get home and see that my tire light was on. I had to drive back up there in rush hour to figure out what was wrong. Turns out the service tech didn't reset the system properly. The manager walked out to see what was going on, but didn't say a word to me. The whole experience was sub par to say the least. On 5.23.17 I went to Tires Plus and made an appointment for 5.24.17. The gentleman behind the desk greeted me right away with a hello. And then we shared a laugh because I had a "senior moment". The Tires Plus staffer I met on 5.23.17, was very very professional, friendly and courteous. I was really looking forward to my appointment when I arrived at 7.00a on 5.24.17 but everything quickly went downhill. I am a Vet and I am "always" on time. The man behind the desk did not greet me and he did not smile. I stated I had a 7.00a appointment. He told me in a very matter of fact manner, that he would be with me in 5 minutes. Then he started to count the cash in his drawer. So, I took a seat but very quickly decided it was not worth me "waiting" to spend my hard earned money. I headed towards the door and told the guy to cancel my appointment. To me, opening at 7.00a means the cash is counted, you're in uniform and you are ready to greet the customers. Asking a customer to wait as the staff preps for the day, is not the same as open at 7.00a. My husband had an emergency with my car..my brakes went out on my husband while he was driving my car, he immediately drove it to tires plus which was the closest place nearby to diagnose the problem. The problem supposedly was a "bad sensor on the back tire." To do the diagnostic check on the ABS was $99, the part was $151, and then to remove the wheel and place the sensor which would be the "labor" cost $132 plus the "shop supplies" for $15! So in total came out to $405!! Mind you, now doing research while having time to and not in an emergent situation...not being able to drive the car elsewhere, the part they charged us for is a $30 part!!!! Shame on this establishment for taking advantage of people in a emergent situation and also in the midst of a pandemic where many people are struggling to stay afloat!!! Will NEVER use their services ever again!! And I will make sure many people know what kind of place this is! read more
