Came in for a simple tire repair appointment after running over a screw a few weeks prior. The tire had zero loss of pressure the entire time -- I just wanted it properly repaired before a long road trip. They started work quickly, and unfortunately that's where the positive experience ended. Almost immediately, they came back claiming the screw had hit the sidewall and that the entire tire needed to be replaced for $443. Mind you, these tires are only about six months old. Given the location of the screw and the fact that the tire never lost pressure for weeks, this seemed highly questionable. They also recommended replacing the air filter, which admittedly did need to be changed. Since I declined the unnecessary tire replacement, they said they would "vacuum out" the filter and reinstall it so it would be "good enough." My fiancé planned to replace it himself anyway. When my fiancé inspected the tire afterward, he noticed they never even removed the tire from the wheel to properly inspect it internally before recommending full replacement. For context: my fiancé is capable of repairing tires himself, but because the tire was fairly new, he specifically wanted it professionally patched from the inside. After another tire shop failed to honor appointments, he finally decided to just handle it himself. To make matters worse, a couple walked in right after me and were told the exact same thing -- "the nail hit the sidewall, the tire needs replacing." What happened to Goodyear? They used to be honest, efficient, and known for terrific customer service. They once had a loyal customer in me. I will not be returning. read more

Brought my car in for a routine oil change on 8/14 before driving to Miami with my son. On 8/15, while on I-95 in North Miami, there was a loud BOOM and my car suddenly overheated. I pulled off safely, opened the hood, and found the radiator cap completely gone. I had the car towed to the Goodyear store in North Miami, where it was diagnosed that the coolant reservoir cap threads had been forced and damaged--meaning the cap had been put back on incorrectly by whoever last serviced it. (I don't touch my own car; I'm not a mechanic.) Naturally, I called the store that had serviced the vehicle the day before. Jason told me he would "check into it" and get back to me--but I never heard another word. Overheating on a busy interstate isn't just inconvenient; it's dangerous. The lack of follow-up showed zero concern for customer safety. Now I understand why that store was completely empty when I went in. Don't risk your car--or your family's safety--by trusting this shop with your vehicle. read more

I don't know why people come to work when it's obvious that they don't wanna be there. Website says the place opens at eight. I get there for an oil change the sign. Outside says they open at 7:30. I go in and the guy behind the counter says what are you here for? I said an oil change and he said nobody gets here till 830. Can you imagine a restaurant saying that it's open at 8 o'clock and the shift doesn't get there till 830? I miss John because he was always friendly. This guy acts like he doesn't want to be there. I've been taking our vehicles there for eight years everything from tires to brakes to general service. I noticed the last few years they do not check or top off the fluids. Such as wiper fluid. They also don't appear to check the filters because my cabin filter was filthy and has never been replaced in four years until I checked it myself. I always relied on them to do such services.I'm never going back Went back at 8:30 and he told me it was a 2 1/2 hour wait and I should've made an appointment. read more

Gave this place a bad review 9 months ago and I'm back for another. Scheduled a tire rotate for today and got there their computers were not working for the second time in a row. Goodyear responded to my review, so here is my update: I called the customer service number as requested on 9/6/2024 and was on hold for 20 minutes before it was answered. After explaining the entire situation to the CS rep, he called the Store manager, James Rodgers, and Mr. Rodgers said he wanted to call me to discuss the situation that took place. To date, I have not received any calls or follow up from Goodyear Corporate or from the Palm Harbor Goodyear location. read more

I brought my car in for an alignment - I drove away and the car was still pulling so I made a new appointment for yet another alignment (I suspect it was not done correctly the first time). When I called to pick up my car I was informed that I need a new battery- which of course they could sell me....they claimed they were unable to start my car. I went over immediately since the battery is only a year old. I was able to start my car immediately. This battery nonsense was an obvious lie and ploy to upsell me something I did not need. I was also told that they "accidentally " left my car in neutral overnight. I was also told I could not get a receipt for supposed work done because the printer wasn't working. Beware!!! These clowns (Bob) received my car at 12:10PM for an oil change and tire rotations. It is now 4:00PM and it is not done. I had left my car and was told I could pick it up at 3:30. Arrived at 3:46 and it was not done. Never received a call, nothing. Got to the store and the manager says: "Do you want me to get it in now". I originally said yes as I am leaving on a long drive, but opted to just take my keys and leave. Called Firestone on a chance for an opening and they said to bring it in now as it will only take 30-45 minutes. This is another issue with these guys - last time they lost my car keys and did not know if the car had been serviced. Never again. Plus their pricing is 30% higher on these simple jobs. read more

I stopped by Goodyear this afternoon because I had a nail in my tire. I always bring my cars to Goodyear and today made me realize how great their service really is. It was 20 minutes before they closed and the man behind the counter came out to take a look at my tire. He checked the nail and took it right out for me so I didn't have to take it to the dealership since the nail was in a spot that would have to be replaced. Mike was amazing and extremely helpful! Especially happy 20 minutes before closing, he didn't even hesitate to help me out. I will always bring all of our cars to this Goodyear! Thank you Mike!! read more

Gary, an employee there, was able to put my car up on the lift, check to see if he could fix my issue (which he did), and have it done in 20 minutes. Truly above and beyond customer service. They've also plugged a tire for me at a very reasonable cost, and had it done and ready literally in 20 minutes. Not saying every time they'll have something fixed and ready this quickly, but if they can they will. They won't screw you. That's what you want in a mechanic and car service center. Appreciate you Gary for your honest help. Will spread the word, and will be back when needed. read more

Brought my 2007 Escalade there for a scheduled oil change and have nail removed from tire. First like to say I bought my truck new in 2007. Also the nail in the tire wasn't leaking, tires are all new, and nail was in tread not side wall. When I arrived a John the store manager told me I must get Synthetic oil in my car. Explained I've owned my truck forever and have had all service done at the dealer and I've never had to buy synthetic oil. He continued to argue with me until another guy came out and told me I was fine with regular. He wrote me up and told me they would rotate my tires. I said no to that since my tires were just put on. I left it there at 5:00 and they are open until 7. They said they would call when done. At 6:45 I decided to go back since I hadn't heard from them. I arrived to see my truck still on the lift with all four tires off. I waited for John and asked what is going on. He said I needed a new tire because the nail went into tread on an angle. Asked why I wasn't called with this info. He said he was too busy. Keep in mind I never saw him working on a car. When I arrived he was leaning against bay wall doing nothing. He again started telling me I must get synthetic oil. So they never even did the oil change in the 2 hours they had my car sitting on the lift. At this point I was very angry that thy have done nothing and not called me and then trying to force me to buy a tire that they didn't even carry plus the oil. On top of it they had all tires off to rotate when I clearly told them not to. Told them to cash me out for the oil change and get my car back together. They did the oil change and put tires back on. Waited another half hour for them. Got my car back and they didn't even check air pressure in any of my tires and top of fluids that I paid them for. This is the worst Good Year I've ever been to. John the manager told me they have to abide by corporate rules since they are a corporate store. Guess I will stick with a GM dealer where I can get the oil I need at a better price. Plus all the extras they do that GY didn't. read more

We had a 10:00 am appointment on Saturday for a oil change today. We called at 5:20p and we were told that the oil change didn't happen and they were going to do it before closing at 7pm. We could pick up our vehicle first thing Monday morning. We were going to buy tires, do front and rear differential fluid changes and transmission fluid and oil change with them, but instead we picked up the vehicle and will take our business elsewhere. John and Paul had no explanation other than things came up. Nor did they offer anything for the inconvenience. Not even an apology. It is definitely disappointing since we've been doing business with them with 3 vehicles. Had two appointments with them today and now will have to find a new mechanic. They have lost us as customers. read more

Worked here for 7 months. As general service associate I worked on cars doing regular oil changes, inspections, tires, and much more. Along with this, that I was unaware of when applying, was painting the interior of the shop, killing weeds, racking leaves, and almost cleaning gutters in my first month of working here. Basically, anything they needed done when I wasn't working on a car, I was required to do. I enjoyed learning how to work on cars and I enjoyed working with a few of the guys here. Mike happens to be the most recommendable and honorable men I've ever had the good fortune to work with. I would recommend asking for him when needing anything big done on your vehicle. A common problem my family and I had with this workplace was that a 10-7 shift didn't always mean you got out at 7. "Goodyear is now your life" in short, was what was referenced to me when I started here. An issue that hurt my family's relationship with eachother. On one occasion, happening to be the forth of July that we were supposed to close at 4:30. But. Not for I. A car needing 4 tires was approved and brought in not long before 4:30, and I was expected and had to finish the car before going home for holiday celebrations. Easily an hour late. Time and time again of not being allowed to leave till the works done. Causing hours of time over what was schedule. This overtime being "made up" later so that overtime was rare. Unfortunately lies, gossip, and unnegotiable tasks are of plenty for those working here. Unorganized and incapable of a day without a "clusterf&$@" happening. Leading to my ending of my employment at this store, I was approached randomly while working on a car and was told to hand in my cellular device for the rest of the day and to be permanently placed in the office each day. I was told that all phones were being collected and to be put there each day. (At this time my fiancé was pregnant with our first and was ready to go into labor any day) and only shortly after I came to find out that only my phone was being collected. No one else was asked to turn in their phone. Upon questioning this action, I was told that I was seen "watching a movie" while working on the car I was working on. In my tool box I often laid my phone next to my work to check my time and make sure my fiancé hadn't messaged with anything crucial. I would stand at my tool box to hydrate and to write down my findings of each inspection. In this encounter however, doing this, as I have been every car worked on, I was accused of "watching a movie while working on cars". With denying and requesting my phone back for emergencies of my daughters birth, I was given two options. No warnings, plainly two options. Either I can leave my phone there and go back to work, or pack my things and end my employment. All along with suspicious thing like "I didn't see anything if you didn't see anything" from management multiple times and things like "don't worry about that" from management. Many employees are even told not to be trained or rely on the management here by higher ups in the company. If you do come here, request Mike for your vehicles service technician. I trusted him and respected him above all else. I am sorry to not work with him any longer, and I hope that he finds good fortune and good luck in his days to come. read more

I read the reviews and was a little skeptical, but the praise is valid!! These guys rock!!! I needed tires on both cats and took advantage of a rebate offered that doubles if you use their cc. (I know, this isn't a sales pitch) So, I jumped to get the break for something I needed anyway. I made my appt online and went to bed. I showed up early, but these guys were slammed on their Friday. They couldn't get both done right away, but offered to do one almost immediately to allow me to go to work. The fact that they were accommodating even after having a full shop was very nice and unheard of in this day and age. I honestly can't say enough about these guys!!! Thanks Sooo Much!!! read more

The manager, Howard, at this location is FANTASTIC. Found an issue with my brakes that was a warranty recall item and instead of giving me a price to repair it, he called Ford got all the information which he forwarded to me. I was able to call Ford roadside service get them to tow the car to the dealer and the dealer is fixing it under warranty. I am a Goodyear fan for years but this cements my feelings about Goodyear beyond anything. People in the Palm Harbor/Tarpon Springs/Clearwater area can't come to this location and feel comfortable that they'll get the best service with the most honest people. I recently had an issue with my Expedition pulling to the right. I took it to a well respected place in Safety Harbor - Danny's Auto Repair. They charged me about $100, but the truck still pulled to the right slightly. I called and made a second appointment, waited 45 minutes to have the main guy come out with a piece of paper that he adamantly claimed proved the alignment was correct. Uh huh, but it still pulls. You could have told me that you weren't going to do anything over the phone sir - now you have wasted my time, which I revere greatly more than money. The guys at Goodyear at first dismissed my assertion that a "camber kit" needed to be installed to allow tweaking same to get the truck to go straight, but in the end, they agreed and did as I asked. Now my truck runs straight as an arrow - just as it had for 17 years. Kudos to these guys for getting the job done right and thinking outside the box to do so. They aren't maybe the cheapest in town, but again, what is most important - cheap or right. I'll take right every time. read more
