FUCK tires plus. Yall installed "new" brakes and pads and yet my brakes are still squeaking. This was after I was told there was NOTHING wrong with my brakes and when I went to a diff location I was told not only were all 4 of my brakes bad and needed replacement (along with the pads and rotors) but that I had a cracked axel as well. I drove to Miami (over 10 hours there and back) with my car like that. Then after they replaced the brake systems and the axel I had to go back bc they were still making noise. Supposedly they were "fixed". Then when I picked up my car, as I was leaving the parking lot, I noticed 2 lights on the dash were lit up. I went back in to the location and told them about the lights. I was told to ignore it. The lights are on for a reason. Even tho they had "comped" some of the services that has no baring especially when I still am concerned about my brakes and the safety of my car.  My family has been customers of tires plus for decades. The way this was handled was awful. I even spoke to MaryAnn the "area manager" who told me everything would be taken care of. Clearly since my brakes still sound like shit, it was not. We have shared this experience with the rest of our family (that spreads across the US) as well as all our friends and neighbors. We will not be using Tiresplus in the future. read more

I went for a oil change. It was 50 bucks. On line for a synthetic oil, change had a $25 coupon. I went there and it cost me 102 bucks. ?? why they had ever excuse in the book!! i paid it !! Gave the guy that did the oil change a 10 dollar tip and said thank you !!' Got in the car he didn't even put window cleaner which fluid that should be taken care of when you get an oil change!!! sorry but I don't mind paying, but be honest and just because it was slow and there was nobody in there. I came here last month with my mustang. I really needed new tires and they were also able to get me hooked up with new black wheels, brake pad replacement and an alignment. They took very good care of my car, they were knowledgeable and extremely nice and helpful! The best part was driving my car after all of this was done - it felt like I was driving a brand new car. The drive felt so smooth and the alignment was perfect. I don't know much... well... I don't really know anything about cars lol! But I will be going back here for my future car needs! read more

I have been bringing my car to Tires Plus for several years now, and have always been treated fairly, but they had gotten a new staff, whom seem to be trying to sell unnecessary services. Since that time however, they got another new staff, and now it is back to the good service they always provided! Jameson is still the Manager, & always tries to fit in customers when they have a problem with their car. My car had a severe oil leak, so I left it with them, and they got back to me telling me it had to do with my timing cover, and I needed to have my car towed to an engine shop to get checked out. They did not try to sell me any unnecessary services, and were very helpful in advising me what I needed to do to get my car fixed, a 2004 Mazda Miata. I am grateful that they were honest with me, and back to the good service they always provided. read more

Honest employees with an efficient process, very direct and to the point. Knowledgeable about options and add in's. Small little shop that is pretty basic but, met my needs. Prices competitive for tire change with plenty of I info available through website or by calling to speak with employees. Waiting area has water and coffee as well as phone chargers available. Personally I've been to this location 2 times before I wrote my review to be fair...it's hard for me to give 5 stars the true star is your interactions with the front desk managers at service locations. Kelly (my mechanic) has been amazing each time. He is honest and does OUTSTANDING work. It's very hard to find an honest car maintenance person in general. Kelly keeps it real and honest he does not try to up sell you on anything you do not need, has a GREAT personality and customer service is wonderful. If you have any repair needs ask for Kelly and he will treat you right. Each employee I've encountered has been very courteous, professional and knowledgeable (Setphanie and Steve). The prices are very competitive I've even gone online and research the prices in the area. This location is located in the same shopping center as the Starbucks and Chase Bank so depending on the time of your service you can walk to Starbucks where there is outside seating. Tire Plus also offer free complimentary Wi-Fi and the waiting room area is kept very clean with fresh complimentary coffee and a nice size Television. read more

Cane in for an oil change at 7:45. Looked like 3 techs in garage. No cars. I ask for oil change. Guy says he will try to fit me in. I thought he was kidding. He said he had a few appointments at 8. Not a good way to start. After 45 minutes the cars is done. As I pull away. My car is almost making a left turn the pull is so bad. They rotated tires and for some reason they are not supposed to be rotated. I come right back and they say they will rotate to original position. That takes over 30 minutes. Obviously if your time is important. This is not the place for you. It was not like this when Steve was the manager. Too bad. read more

I woke up to a flat tire on Wednesday. Luckily I live close enough to Tires Plus that I was able to drive to this location. I arrived by 7:30 am. I was immediately greeted by Steve, he looked at my tires, I knew I needed new tires. Steve gave me a fair price for 4 new tires and an oil change, they did the work and I drove out at 9:am. I don't normally leave these bad reviews... But...Second time I came to this location and again very frustrated. First time they had my car for over 2 hours to tell me they could not fix the tire with a nail in it because, while it was a new tire, it is a run flat tire and could not be repaired. A good place would have told me that at first and I'd be on my way. Today 8/4/19, I brought a new tire, had a 930 apt, was on time. Told 1 hour to put on. At 11:00, hour and a half later, old tire still on car and no one is even trying to take it off yet. AND while waiting in wait area with 4 other people, some genius had the maintenance guy show up to clean the floor so they have us moving out of the way, sitting, being told to get up, being told to sit again, while someone washes the floor. Yes. Really. Lol. This place is VERY poorly managed and they don't care about your time. If you care about your time, I recommend you go somewhere else. read more

This past Friday, I made an appointment with Adrianna for 10:00 on Saturday morning for a simple tire change. I expressed that my daughter would be bringing the car, and that she had to be in Gainesville later in the day. Adrianna assured me that she would take care of it and that it would only take a few minutes. I called my daughter from work at 12:30, and she said that they had just pulled the car in a minute earlier, but hadn't lifted it up or started working on it. I called back and spoke with Kevin who told me that they had been looking for the wheel lock key and that's why they hadn't started working on it yet. I asked him if they had really been looking for two hours for the key, and why they hadn't called me. He became very rude at that point and said that they looked everywhere for the wheel lock key but could not find it. I told him that their shop was where I bought the set of tires, and just two months ago had repaired another tire. The key was always put back in the glovebox. He said that they already looked there. he then said that since they couldnt find the key, he could not help with the tire. My daughter drove the car home and when I got home from work I opened the glovebox, and there it was. The very wheel lock key that Kevin swore they had been looking for two hours!!! I have been using this Tires Plus for over five years for all five of my cars. Steve and his crew were always GREAT. This new crew has proven to be unprofessional and extremely incompetent. My tire pressure sensor came on so I stopped at Tires Plus off Eastlake Rd in Palm Harbor, to get it checked out. I was told it would be an hour before they could see it - fine. I understood they were busy and I didn't have an appointment. I called an hour and half later to be told by the service manager, Rickey that my tires were "old" and discontinued, and I needed not one, not two, but four new tires. (They found no nail or sign of a leak). When I had my oil changed at Toyota less than a month prior, I had good tread with only 32K miles on the car. My car is garage kept - no exposure to sun or other harmful elements. After I declined and picked up my car, I stopped to get air. I didn't believe they had even looked at my tires until I discovered they over inflated the tire that I suspected had a slow leak by 5 lbs., kept my valve stem cap, and didn't reset my sensor. Gave them one more shot after bringing my BMW 328i in for a strange noise, Sales girl old me I needed front brakes, my struts were leaking and 1 tire was worn excessively etc etc so I said ok $3500 later and 5 returns about the noise still there they finally told me they didn't know what was causing the noise to take it to BMW.. Fine. BMW fixed the noise for $1700.. all good however BMW tech told me they haven't change struts in a 3 series ever.. this visit 3/6/2020 took our Jeep in for a leak in the front right tire.. Salesman tells me they can't fix the tire because of a metal shard sticking into it and I need a tire.... Too it to our local Jeep dealer they plugged the hole made by a drywall screw and NO Charge. These people never just address what you came in for without trying to tell you all the other things that are wrong... NO more!!!! I have "0" trust in these people BEWARE OF THIS SHOP! read more

I happened to be on Yelp looking for something else and I came across this review. I was reminded of the horrible service and treatment that I received at Tires Plus on East Lake Road just today. I was thinking about this because my daughter just took her car in to my regular mechanic and was raving about how wonderful they are. She is here from Miami and cannot find a decent mechanic there. So when I came across this, I realized that I never mentioned the great mechanics that I have. Whatever you do, do not bring your car to the crooks at Tires Plus on East Lake Road. They seem very friendly but they are liars and crooks. If you want a good reliable mechanic go see Chris and Jay at Countryside Automotive on 580 in Dunedin. Recently I had occasion to return to this Tires Plus store for an Interstate Battery warranty claim, this is where I had made the original purchase as well as purchased some tires and had a water pump replaced. I was greeted at the counter by Austin who must not be in management as he was dressed in technician attire. Austin said no problem, get right on it as he printed paperwork. He slid the papers across the counter for my signature and I noticed that he was asking me to authorize a $ 33 install fee, the battery was covered 100%. I told him I would not pay for that unless he could document the validity of those charges on my original warranty papers. I went to our car, got the warranty and returned to the counter. By now, Austin had become very agitated, I guess because I was questioning his claim. He did indeed circle the sentence that said the customer was responsible for installation but by now he was screaming. I told him he was correct and that they had me and I would pay. He said that he was refusing service and asked me to leave. I then drove to Gulf to Bay and the counter man said no charge, could I wait, big difference in attitude and service. I complained online to TiresPlus corporate and almost immediately was told that they would record my concerns and the store manager would contact me in 24 - 48 hours. That did not happen. On the third day corporate followed up and said they were going to escalate my issue and the store manager would contact me which he did. I had already decided to not return to the Palm Harbor Tiresplus and when the store manager did not contact me the first time that made my decision to not return to Tiresplus as a company. My only advice would be study your warranty and if you continue business with Tiresplus avoid the Palm Harbor location and by all measure avoid Austin. read more

My family has been using the services at Tires Plus for the last five years after moving to the Palm Harbor area. I live only two miles away so the location is fantastic for us. Everyone we've had contact with has been pleasant. We have had the usual oil changes, tire rotations, and bought new tires as well for two of our cars. Their prices have been reasonable- until recently. Our daughter was home from college for Spring break and we needed an oil change, tire rotation and we also asked them to look into why the air wasn't blowing cold. We were told the air compressor was shot and the cost would be $1,300.00. This estimate didn't include a motor mount that needed replacing. We sought a second opinion from our mechanic. Our repair needed was the relay switch not the compressor. Our total bill was $300.00 for the relay switch and fixing the motor mount. I've heard of other people's stories of being ripped off from Tires Plus and other places as such, and always think how could people do this to their loyal customers or any customer for that matter! Tires Plus has lost a loyal customer. I will take my car an hour away if need be before I will ever spend another cent in any of these type places. I never write posts about anything as I feel who cares what I think or how I was treated? Whoever reads this please ALWAYS get another opinion so you're not ripped off of your hard earned money. I have not ever been treated so poorly by an employee at a service driven company with the manager standing nearby and allowing it to happen. I had a flat tire that had a screw in it. It had been changed to a spare tire (donut type) to get me to a shop to repair/replace the tire(s). Tony at the counter was unable to pull up our account by phone and name three times. Then while I was phoning my husband, he was able to pull it up. I sat down and waited for the tires to be replaced as the screw was "on the shoulder" and when told my vehicle was ready, I was told that they had put the wrong sized tires on my vehicle and that they needed to change them. I waited again as they promised to rush knowing that I had to drive from palm Harbor to Dade City to pick up my children. After some time they said they had completed the job. I went to pull away and could not even merge into traffic without hearing a "thump/thump/thump" type noise. I pulled back in and was berated for "thinking" that possibly the tire was not all the way tightened down etc as I did not know where this sound was coming from. Long story short...berated by Tony again as he bounded out the door asking me what is the problem when I drove back up with the same noise still happening after they checked it out. I finally got him into my vehicle so he could hear the noise. He did, and they had to lift my vehicle and test drive it a few times to figure it out. I was told that the spare was loose. My spare is literally under the driver/passenger middle of the vehicle, this noise was in the rear where they had changed the tires not once but twice. STAY AWAY! read more
