They also left the cap off of my brake fluid container and a hose was unplugged in the engine compartment. This place is the worst.

A few weeks…read morelater, my wife noticed the brakes were making a squealing noise during turns so I brought the vehicle back to have it inspected. I was charged $100 just for them to look into the issue. What was most concerning was learning that when the brakes and rotors were replaced a few weeks earlier, the shop chose to install lower-quality aftermarket parts rather than OEM parts. The original components on the vehicle were OEM, but instead of giving us the option to choose, the service advisor of Indian descent told me they used cheaper parts because OEM parts were "too expensive" and would make them less competitive. That decision was made without our knowledge or approval. When it comes to critical safety components like brakes, customers should always be given the option and informed about the quality of parts being installed. Choosing lower-quality parts to save money--without discussing it with the customer--raises serious concerns about quality, safety, and reliability. At the very least, we should have been given the option to replace the parts with OEM components or informed beforehand about what was being installed. Instead of rectifying their original mistake they shifted focus to other parts (pins) that still didn't address the issue at hand. Hence, I would not recommend if you're looking for honesty, quality, safety, and RELIABILITY.

My husband took our car in for a simple oil change. We didn't get our car back when we should have,…read moreso we called and asked what was going on. They said they had taken it out for a test drive to see if they could figure out a noise the car was making. Another hour and a half later, close to closing time, they called to tell us that while driving our car the 20 or so feet from their work bay to a parking spot, our car's ENGINE HAD SEIZED UP AND WAS NON-FUNCTIONAL. They tried to play it off like it wasn't their fault and said they'd "help us" by finding a used engine at a junkyard (of equal mileage, approx 77K) and installing it. Took them about a month to do so. They gave us a 6 month warranty on the "junkyard" engine and free oil changes. Needless to say, they screwed us. Our car now reads 88K miles EVERY time we check the mileage on a mechanics machine, our air conditioning was never charged on the new engine, our spark plugs are crap, and our alternator needs to be replaced. Basically, they managed to render our car useless/destroyed during a SIMPLE OIL CHANGE. Andrew, the manager, said he would "help us out"... the car is now worth nothing for a trade-in because of their BS. My husband is a nice guy who had recently been through a bypass operation, and Andrew and the owner took advantage of his being nice and not one to make a fuss. DO NOT TRUST this place, DO NOT patronize them! I don't know how they did it, but they seized up our engine and destroyed our vehicle without a real care in the world about what they had done. My husband and I BOTH FEEL USED AND ABUSED. We own the car, and now our property is basically useless for driving or a trade-in. An oil change at this Merlin might seem like a good deal, and cheaper than a dealership would charge, but it's NOT WORTH IT. If they screw up your car during a simple oil change and seize the engine, they WON'T "make it right". They'll "fix" it as cheaply as they can and leave you screwed.
