Krage was recommended to be by a local and they did not disappoint. I needed a rear wheel bearing replaced before I drive 1200 miles to Hernando Beach, Florida. I also added: oil change, new belts, new filters, transmission flush, and BRAND NEW REAR BRAKES. The bill was very reasonable and the work has passed my inspection. Also, they were communicative at each step, upfront with the charges, and took split payments. I highly recommend them. Krage's Tire Center Just a TIP when a customer comes to you for help, trouble shoot, or even a question be more ENTHUSIASTIC about the matter especially if it involves work you've done. Called about a warranty of a battery for BMW that I gotten replace here, the vehicle kept showing warnings about low charge. They said I would be called that didn't happen I called and brought in the battery which came in positive, but still kept having the same issue later on. To end things here I felt they could've been more caring about how little of the matter it was, and stand high for their service. Still 5 staring them because I'm not like that just wanted to let them know how I felt. Didn't feel like continuing going there no more. I bought tires here about a year and a half ago. Today I brought my car in with a screw in my tire. I watched the mechanic, Steve, repair the tire. It wasn't just a simple plug. He took off the tire, removed the tire from the rim and patched it from the inside. It took him a good 40 minutes. He wasn't slow but just damn thorough. It was like watching an artist. I then asked if I should replace my tires and they explained that, no, my tires were fine, maybe another 10k-15k miles left. Compare this to the mechanic I was at earlier in the day who "didn't have time" to repair my tire but was happy to quote me $700+ to replace my "worn out" tires. read more

Very pleased overall with the work and service. A few weeks back, we took our old beater in to have an alignment done, as the car has been out of alignment for roughly 10 years. However, rarely driving the car the past few years, we never put much money or priority into it. After contacting Krage's via their official website and emailing them to get some prices just for kicks, we decided to get an alignment for just under $80. Our car also had front tires that were shot. After getting the alignment, we decided to get two new front tires to go along with the new alignment, rather than put the old beat-to-hell tires back on the car. The pricing was very fair for the tires - while not the absolute best tires, they were new and miles better than the bald tires we came in with obviously. We did check online at Costco for competitive pricing and although we would be saving @$20.00 give or take had we taken the car there for the tires, we just let Krage's do the work for convenience factors. There was a slight issue with the alignment once we got the car back home. The car still VERY SLIGHTLY veered to the right, we test drove it a few times and it was easy to notice this. We checked back with Krage's about this and they told us to simply bring the car back at our convenience and they would check or fix the alignment at no charge. About a week later, we brought the car back and there was indeed some tweaking that needed to be done. Krage's was very friendly about the entire episode, and we appreciated that. We took the car home and there have been no problems since. We are pleased with the work, the tires, and their friendliness and willingness to help and work with us. The employees and front end office people were very friendly and helpful, including Shannon (she may be one of the owners, or wife of the owner). A few days after, I even received a follow-up phone call and email from Jim asking how everything was and if I had any questions. This was very nice and we thank them for this. Great, honest service with fair pricing. I had 4 new tires, brakes and a starter installed. I requested an alignment but was pleasantly informed that my car didn't need one, saving me money. I live in Hyde Park but went to Krages because of the reviews, pricing and nitrogen for my tires. Bonus: the owner, Terry Krage, spoke with me directly about the work and responded to my email quickly! Oh, the waiting area has leatherette chairs which are comfy, a TV and lots of magazines. After having Krage's inspect vehicle they were able to make repair for less than $150 and car is running great. Told me my caliper was frozen and needed to be replaced. Said I would need to replace the other working caliper otherwise there would be uneven wear. Said I also had deteriorating brake hoses. Took car to dealer for 2nd opinion (I normally try and avoid dealer). They told me there is no need to replace other caliper at all. Not only that, they were able to unfreeze the "bad" caliper within 30 minutes. Dealer also told me that hoses were fine and did not need replaced. I have had my car in Krage's before and they did a good job, but not this time. I do not know if they were just trying to slam me with extra work, or if they were just not competent, but in either case, I will not be going back again. I have lost faith in this shop. read more
