Okay, so it's actually BILL + the mechanics who run a tight ship here at the Grease Monkey on Normantown Rd. This is an A-Team of friendly professionals that can handle almost any job, big or small. They can guarantee an oil change in under 30 minutes. Some sh*t happened to my poor Mazda a couple months ago and I had to have it towed for repair. Although it took a few days, they were able to replace a new ball joint and they charged me a reasonable amount for parts & labor. Fast forward to now, and I'm getting a standard oil & filter change. When they rang me up, I mentioned that the owner had said he'd "help me out" next time I came in. At first I got some blank stares, but after a few minutes of deliberation they came back and dropped the price from $101 to $86. This beat the $5 off online coupon, so I'm glad I asked. I'm not sure they topped off any fluids (brake, wiper) and my car's interior definitely hadn't been vacuumed. I already knew their car wash was out-of-order, so I didn't expect a sparkling exterior. On the other hand....I'd much rather save 15% on my bill and clean the car on my own time. * TL;DR * Honest, thorough, and they'll have you back on the road in a jiffy. If you need car work done, head over to Grease Monkey in Romeoville, not the Bolingbrook location on Boughton (who once fed me some pretty glaring misinformation about my broken-down car, requiring it to get towed a second time). As others have mentioned, Bill is a genuine dude. His team works TIRE-lessly to provide solid customer service, and in an industry where tons of people are overcharged and taken advantage of, you won't encounter that here. One employee directed me to pull in, so I followed his instructions. The other employee apparently didn't see that and yelled at me to stop. As someone who already gets anxious pulling into places like this, it completely threw me off and had me panicking--even though I was simply following the directions I was given. He quickly apologized from a distance, but never came over to apologize directly. The actual oil change was quick and the service itself was great, but as I left, all I got was another "sorry 'bout that." I understand miscommunication happens, but being yelled at for following an employee's directions was upsetting and made an otherwise good service experience unnecessarily stressful.

Upon inspection by James Chrysler dealership service center, it was determined that the oil adaptor had been overtightened, causing it to crack and leak oil. The repair cost is estimated at $1,604.95 plus tax. Attempts to Resolve: I contacted Aurora Oil and Lube to inform them of the issue. Initially, they agreed to inspect the car but later denied responsibility, attributing the problem to wear and tear. Multiple requests for them to inspect the damage at the service center were denied. They suggested taking the car to a different service center in Lisle, IL, which is not feasible as the car is undrivable due to the oil leak. I contacted their corporate office and requested a callback, but my calls have not been returned. Warranty Violation: According to their website, the service center warrants that services and products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one month or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. My car is within this warranty period. Resolution Requested: Reimbursement of the repair cost ($1,604.95 plus tax). Reversal of the oil change charge ($82.51) to my credit card.

The ONLY reason I gave them 4 stars is because this past February I had them install a new battery. The problem is that a little while after I left there (I had been driving around a lot doing errands) my car died. I got it to start again, but I drove a little ways & it died again - right in the middle of Essington Rd, which is a very busy road! I was so scared that I was gonna get hit by someone from behind. I had to call my boyfriend to come give me a jump but each time it would only drive a few hundred yards (did this 3 x's to get it from Essington & Black to Jack's! Angry ) Ok, so here's the reason I'm still giving them 4 stars...when I finally got back there, I was pretty upset, but the manager took care of me & my car. The battery wasn't bolted down properly & he showed me why, then he put a brand new battery in & showed me that it was done correctly. Apparently the "kid" who did it was a newbie & didn't know how to do it, but my problem with that is that he didn't ask his manager! Anyway, it was all handled very quickly with the manager apologizing profusely and he gave me a free oil change and 2 extra free car washes. Listen, people make mistakes, we're all human, but the difference was that he accepted responsibility, apologized, and then gave me great customer service...and THAT'S why they get 4 stars & a lifetime customer!
