Seam left open !! .... Never fixed!!!! This pic taken on day of wedding!!

GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!! They need to hire people that know what they are doing for starters. We brought them a gorgeous, brand new wedding dress that we paid $2000 for, and over the course of at least 6 visits and then an AT MY HOME visit (because they allowed me to take home a dress that was nowhere near wearable!!! ) THEY DESTROYED IT ! Seams left open, horsehair pulled out of hem, not sewn back in correctly, hem totally messed up ...too long in some places, sleeves were supposed to be snapped in so my daughter could remove them at reception and one was sewn to her dress!! We had to find a scissor and cut it off of her!!! It had water stains on the bottom, straight pins and safety pins left on the dress when we went to pick it up to take home. Should have been ready to walk in and take home. Instead we waited over 40 minutes for them to fix hem and iron it ( you will see in pics that hem was NOT FIXED and the ironing never really happened either ) We do not live close by, and drove 2 hours there and 2 hours back every time we had an appointment .... It took them 7 tries and they still couldn't get it right !!! TIW came highly recommended by Legacy Bridal (where we bought the dress. ) and for some strange reason , we trusted their professional opinion, only for TIW to destroy my daughter's gorgeous dress !!! So heartbreaking to see how upset my daughter was, knowing they DESTROYED her DREAM WEDDING DRESS !! After all that, They offered to pay me $29 for the snaps!!! Seriously?! After all they did to that dress?! They then offered $150 and I'm still waiting for the money!! Wedding was in November 2025. RUN!!! Don't walk away from this company. Pure SH$T!!

I strongly caution any bride considering Tailored in White for wedding dress alterations. My experience ultimately ended with me removing my wedding gown from the shop on April 25, 2026, approximately three weeks before my May 16 wedding, because I no longer felt comfortable leaving my dress in their possession and no longer had confidence that the alterations would be completed to my expectations or within the timeline I needed. When I began the process, I was advised that bridal alterations would typically require approximately 4-6 fittings. Instead, I attended more than a dozen appointments over several months and paid more than $3,000 for alteration services. November 2025: I dropped off my wedding dress, discussed multiple customization and alteration requests with my assigned seamstress, and paid for the alteration plan outlined for my gown. November 2025 - March 2026: I attended numerous fittings and repeatedly arrived expecting previously discussed work to be completed, only to find that significant alterations remained unfinished. On multiple occasions, family members traveled from out of state to attend fittings after I was advised that major alterations would be available to review. We arrived expecting to see substantial progress and instead learned that little or no work had been completed since the prior appointment. March 2026 - April 2026: Less than 24 hours before what was represented as one of my final fittings, I contacted the shop to ask whether progress had been made. During that conversation, I was informed that my original seamstress was no longer with the company because she had not been following company guidelines and standards. I was also told that important information regarding my alterations had not been properly documented. As a result, I was required to meet with a new seamstress and revisit alteration requests that had already been discussed throughout the process, effectively restarting the alterations less than two months before my wedding. April 25, 2026: After months of appointments and ongoing concerns regarding progress, communication, workmanship, and the condition of my gown, I removed my dress from the shop and hired another seamstress to complete the alterations. Throughout the process: - My alteration timeline was repeatedly delayed and disrupted. - Communication and billing were inconsistent to the point that a staff member told me, "I am sending this to finance because I cannot make sense of it either." - I attended more than a dozen appointments despite being told to expect approximately 4-6 fittings. - I repeatedly attended appointments expecting completed work, only to find that substantial alterations remained unfinished. - During a fitting, the visible front fashion layer of my bodice was cut open while I was wearing the dress. - Less than 24 hours before a scheduled fitting, I was informed that the new seamstress was unavailable. I was told I could still come in to review changes, but after trying on the dress I was informed the alterations had not been completed correctly, and a front desk employee cut the straps of my gown while I was wearing it. - My gown accumulated visible blue pen markings while in the shop's possession. The markings ultimately required professional cleaning because neither I nor the replacement seamstress could safely remove them. - My gown, train, and garment bag were returned in a significantly dirtier condition than when provided. When I later brought the gown to a cleaning specialist, I was asked whether it had been purchased secondhand because of its condition. - My dress remained in the shop's possession for approximately six months, yet most alterations remained incomplete when I removed it. - Both my family and I experienced interactions that we considered unprofessional during the alteration process. After raising concerns with management and attempting to discuss a resolution, I was told there would be no monetary reconciliation because I had "actually been undercharged for my alterations at the beginning of the process." Given the condition of my gown, the unfinished alterations, and the additional costs I incurred to have another seamstress complete the work, I did not find that response appropriate. What was most upsetting was reaching a point where I no longer trusted that my wedding dress would be completed in a condition that met my expectations before my wedding date. After months in their care, more than a dozen appointments, and over $3,000 spent, I ultimately felt that removing my gown and finding another seamstress was my only option. Brides place tremendous trust in alteration professionals to care for one of the most important garments they will ever wear. My experience did not reflect the level of care that I expected when I entrusted my gown to this business. I am sharing my experience so that future brides are aware.

Frayed stitching, came apart after wearing my dress for 30 minutes. Was having to cut the excess threading prior to walking down the aisle.

I want to firstly say, I loved my dress and Eric was so helpful. However, the stitching on my layers were terrible. The ends came apart 30 minutes after wearing my dress. Mind you, I put on my dress, did a first look 100 ft away, and returned back to the bridal room. I had to cut the excess threading prior to walking down the aisle as it was becoming tangled and catching on my shoes. For paying $100 per layer and this happening, I wouldn't recommend getting anything altered at this salon.

Tailored and White take there time and tailor things in such a way that you're never going to have a bad fit. They are awesome, this is the 3rd time we have used them for formal wear and I would be afraid to go anywhere else, if you have invested in formal wear and want to look your best, there is no place else I would go!!! Worth your time and money to have it done right!!!! Open late till 7 pm

Such a beautiful place, and the service is amazing! Would recommend a million times They were able to squeeze me in last minute for an event I have in just a few days! The shop is also stunning, so if you want to experience for bridal it's definitely worth it!

I had a wonderful experience with TIW from start to finish!! I loved their process of altering one part of the dress at a time. Not only did it ensure that every detail was absolutely perfect but it gave me an opportunity to try my dress on many more times than you typically would which was just fun in itself! It's a time commitment but completely worth it. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! The icing on the cake was a custom scrunchie made out of my dress scraps! Super thankful for these talented ladies. Highly recommend :)

Wish there were negative stars. Grace Loves Lace recommended them bc their old manager, Danielle, worked there. I met w lovely Danielle in March. She had me send pictures of the dress/alterations & said she'd update my file w notes so she could start right away when it got delivered. We had email correspondences for months. I made an appointment as soon as it was delivered but upon arrival no one recognized, had my file/pics, or knew anything about my dress. I kept referencing Danielle & was not told she left this shop until after they had pinned & taken my dress back. The grand total was $1300, not including bustle (+$350-400). I was shocked, but felt pressured so I paid. Figured if I was investing that, the dress would be amazing. I had 5 appointments w TiW that got progressively worse, leaving me in tears every time. Each appt started a minimum of 20 min late. I was constantly told tailors were juggling appts & sewing. Frankly, I don't know what there is to "juggle." Those 2 tasks are literally the only jobs of a tailor, & it is TiW's responsibility to hire tailors who are equipped. I always heard brides all very disappointed w alterations, but I invested so much I stayed. At each appointment, my tailor said they were losing a lot of tailors/firing bc they botched dresses/lied about qualifications. No alterations were made to my dress & the attempts botched my dress. It remained ripped open on the sides & wasn't sewn together until my last appt - revealing they only sewed the exterior layer. The inside lining was still ripped open, hanging, & dragging visbly lower than my gown. My hem, bra cups, cap sleeves, & lace on the back were never done. I vocalized wanting the cap sleeves to be made from the extra material of my dress after hemming. Multiple appts I was presented w 2 fabrics & told to pick 1 so the tailor could make my sleeves. I repeatedly stated that I wanted the sleeves made from my hem, but the tailor forgot every time. That tailor also told me the policy is to never turn away a bride. Which sounds appealing, but is a horrible design when they're so busy they can't sew the dress of another bride. I asked if we could do a strap lift instead of adding lace to the front of my dress bc we were severely running out of time. I paid $80 was was told I'd get a $150 refund for nixing the lace. The refund wasn't initiated that day bc the "system was down." I was promised it would get taken care of the following week. When time came, "system was down" again but I was told the owner would Zelle me and text me to confirm I received it by days end. Neither of these things happened. The following week, I had to demand the refund and state I wasn't leaving until it was issued. That appt they also said my sleeve take up was completed. My new seamstress has informed me the right sleeve was take up an entire inch more than the left - she was shocked they thought this was a job well done. The also took in the top SO much I couldn't take a deep breath. I never wanted them to touch the skirt bc it fit pefectly. However without my consent, they hiked the skirt up 4 inches instead of hemming and took it in but only on 1 side. It was so tight on my waist it was digging in, but then the shapely fabric that was supposed to be on my hips was flaring out near the bottom of my waist. The tailor said he thougt the abomination of a dress looked great and claimed they never touched the skirt. I pushed. He ripped open the dress as I was wearing it which revealed all of the previous botched alterations. He said the seamstress working on my dress was fired bc she couldn't sew. Instead of taking accountability and offering to fix this, they said I would need to pay $475 more. Mind you, we are now 2 weeks out from my wedding and no alterations have been done. I went on Reddit and found a sea of bad reviews that TiW had taken down from Google. I pulled my dress from TiW while there was still time to salvage it. Even though TiW said they would do anything to rectify this, they never issued the refund I asked for. RUN. I pray another bride never has to go through this.

I absolutely ADORE the entire Tailored in White Team, but ESPECIALLY Herschel! I had lost a bit of weight since I had bought my dress, so when I initially brought my dress to TIW in January, they already had bit of work to do to take it in. Little did I know that between January and May (my wedding), I would continue to lose weight to the point where I dropped down two sizes! While losing weight on accident was a delight for me, I knew it was a nightmare for Herschel and the team! Every couple of weeks I would come in and they would tell me we needed to take in the dress more. I knew it was delaying their ability to make progress in other areas of the dress, but even still Herschel was always SO patient and attentive. He shouldered all of the stress so I didn't have to. In the end, my dress fit like a glove! With all of the millions of other things a bride has to worry about, my dress was never one of them. The passion and pride the team takes in their work is what put my nerves at ease right away. It was bitter sweet the day I picked up my dress to take home. By the end of my time with TIW, I would look forward to my appointments not only because I would get to see my dress, but because I'd get to hang out with Herschel! I had an incredible experience at Tailored in White and I'm so grateful for Herschel and the rest of the team!

Tailored in White ruined my wedding dress by leaving large pulls all across the dress. There were at least 10+ very visible snags that were several inches long. They tried to brush it off, insisting that it's a very delicate material, but this is a specialty wedding dress tailor that should be used to handling delicate materials. We went back to the store where I bought the dress and they showed us the sample dress that has been used in the showroom for over 3 years and there was not a single pull. Very disappointed because this kind of damage was not something we could even attempt to fix at another tailor, I just had to live with it on my wedding day. It's a shame because I spent over $1,000 to alter this dress, just to receive a finished product that is effectively trash and not even worth preserving.

Look no further, this is your place! If I could give 10 stars I would! Cora at Tailored in White is one of the most creative and talented people I have ever met. After finding the perfect wedding dress at Laurie's Bridal it was recommended that I give Cora a try. Little did I know I would meet such a wonderful person who was willing to take on the difficult and time-consuming alterations on my dress. With each of our appointment I was falling more and more in love with my dress! I loved her work so much she worked on my mothers, maid of honor, two junior bridesmaids, and our little groomsmen. Cora not only excited everything perfectly she came to the venue to help me get in! Working with her was one of the best parts of the wedding planning process and by far the most fun. I recommend anyone looking for alterations schedule an appointment at Tailored in White! read more

The only reason this review warrants even one star is because of Herschel, who was our only form of consistency and handled my daughters dress the last 4 visits. He was understanding, knowledgeable and patient. Without him this experience would have been unbearable and this operation should be shut down! Prior to Herschel, we had a different person each visit where nothing got done right and where, at times, nothing was done at ALL! They don't communicate with each other so it's as if you are starting new at each visit. The back room is full of dresses and it's apparent that they take on way more than they can handle! As the mother of the bride it was so sad to see the stress and expense this place put my daughter through. She left most visits in tears along with a hefty bill. Her final cost for alterations was $1700 and nearly as much as her wedding dress. Next: when you show up for your appointment you should know that you will have to wait while they "finish up" your dress! Why this isn't done before you arrive is beyond me! When I asked why the dress isn't done prior to the visit I was told by the manager that "it is done", they are just doing quality control. LOL! What?? Next: don't try to talk to Dynell (the manager) because he will just shut you up and tell you not to talk over him. In fact, when I tried to speak up for my daughter because she wasn't being heard he told me that his contract was with the bride and that he was not going to deal with me. I can't imagine being in a management position and treating clients this way. In the bridal industry you should expect brides to be stressed 2 weeks before their wedding, especially when the hem was not done yet promised 3 visits prior! In all, the alterations took at least 10 visits beginning on October 10th and finishing 3 days before the wedding on March 15th. The dress was not perfect when we picked it up but with the wedding that weekend we were both beyond done with the experience and didn't want them working on one more thing. In fact, as I was steaming the dress the morning of the wedding (because they do not do this for you) I noticed several dirt spots on the dress and pins which were never removed. Stay away from this place if you want to enjoy your wedding preparation. This was a nightmare! read more

Tailored in white literally SAVED the day! I called them 2 weeks before my wedding date due to an emergency. The tailor who worked on my dress had done a poor job on a slit to say the least and convinced me that the boning on the bust was "ok". EVERYONE at tailored in white took me in and reassured me that they would do their best to make sure I loved my dress. You have to trust the process and allow them to work their magic. I attended multiple fittings which I appreciated. They will not finalize anything until you are 100% happy with the result. The team makes sure that the fit is beyond perfect and they will make any changes that you ask for. Fast forward to the day before my wedding when I picked up the dress and had my final fitting.... As soon as I saw myself I got chills, I really couldn't believe THIS was my dress. The slit was perfect, they added extra boning to ensure a perfect fit, the bust that had damaged boning was replaced, they steamed the dress to perfection. I truly couldn't believe all the work that had been done in 2 weeks time. I am forever grateful to Tailored in white and the entire team! Thank you! read more

I wish we could give extra gold stars! This team is spectacular! Cora is so talented, she knew exactly how to turn my dress into something that only exists in dreams (lol, this dress fit like a glove). I am so challenged when it comes to picturing the finished product, but she was 10 steps ahead always and patient enough to explain things to me. For my dress I had cups put in, the straps redone to be off the shoulder, the material on the torso taken in (it was a little loose), and the sash moved from right underneath the bust to my waist. I also had all the layers of the dress hemmed after debating my shoe choice...again, they were very patient with me. You want Tailored in White on your wedding team. Not only are they super friendly and fun, but professional...AND extremely skilled! read more

The tailor that you see in person is not who actually alters your dress. They go off of a clip board. They say it's all a part of their process. But the reason you have to go to WAY more appointments than most places is because they never have the same person working on it, so they aren't able to do a lot of the alterations at once. It's a terrible process and we were way overcharged for their mistakes. Don't waste your time going to so many appointments when you can have a much smoother process having the person that sees you in the dress actually make your alterations. We also showed up to one of our last appointments, and the tailor admitted they just started working on it 45 minutes before we got there, it was still hanging on by pins and they sewed the wrong beads onto my dress because they didn't feel like looking in my dress bag for the originals. We went back and they sewed the rest of the beads on but left the wrong beads in that spot and we had to tell them again to replace them with my dresses original beads. It was a very disappointing experience, and my dress didn't fit exactly right because I was too nervous to ask them to do anything else. read more

I bought a dress and took it to a seamstress who worked on it for three months yet it still would not fit me and seemed to get worse and worse. I brought my dress to tailored in white and immediately knew I was in great hands with Cora. She is an absolute genius. Know that these girls are doing the most difficult alterations and doing them well. My one suggestion is to trust the process, there are a lot of appointments and these girls are busy. We were on a TIGHT time crunch, they assured my my dress would be done by my wedding and they did not disappoint. Absolutely the best in the Phx metro area. The owner Cora is such a creative genius and not only did she alter my wedding dress, I've gone back to her for a bridesmaids fitting as well. TIW is so responsive and on top of all concerns any new bride has. Each fitting ranged from 3 to 5 visits, my wedding dress was taken in, and Cora kept all extra fabric in the case of a last minute alteration to create more room. The bridesmaid dress was two sizes too big when I bought it, TIW completely fitting to my size, switched out the straps for fabric and a sash in the back for a " Gatsby " feel. From choosing fabric, I was immediately provided options in the first week of my initial appointment and consultation. The shop is inviting and honestly makes you feel like a celebrity being there. The price is worth the work. I've recommended at least 2 different brides and other bridesmaids since my own wedding. The few reviews I have seen that are lower in rating are disappointing to hear, not to make excuses, but personally talking with the office manager during the pandemic ( most fittings took place then ) if you're unhappy- tell them there, at the appointment. I can admit at one appointment I felt like I didn't see progress and told the seamstress working on my bridesmaids dress, she immediately had the office manager, Veronica talk with me, and reassured that it may not look like much but, work is being done. Keep in mind they are human as well.I stand by my rating with 5 stars-Priscilla V read more

Stop searching for a place to do alterations for your wedding dress and call Tailored in White!! I had a bad experience with another seamstress and only had three weeks until my wedding, and Tailored in White (Cora & Hayley) saved my dress, made it more beautiful than I ever dreamed, and also did everything quickly in time for my wedding. They were lovely to work with, so professional, and their work was top notch. They went above and beyond and took a video for my family to show them how to bustle my dress, and took care that my dress was clean and pressed and ready to go. What a wonderful experience, thank you ladies!! read more

Terrible experience! They ruined my daughters gown. I went with her for 2 of the fittings. The first, (which she paid them in full & let her know that everything she was asking to have done was no problem) and what was supposed to be the final fitting. From the first fitting to what was supposed to be the last, they had totally ruined her dress! She gave them one more week to try & fix all the problems. The final fitting I wasn't able to make it with her. What had gone from bad, only got worse!..she called me so upset just 5 days before her wedding! On top of the 1200.00 she had spent to have her dress fitted, she now had to find another place to do a rush job & pay extra for that! After talking to others at her wedding, we were hearing the same story over & over. Do yourself & your daughter a favor..don't go to TIW! read more

I can't emphasize this enough! The best place for bridal (or any kind) of alterations! I am new to AZ and thankfully stumbled across Tailored in white! Everyone is extra nice and friendly, so you'll feel at home every time you go in for a fitting. If you are a bride in need of alterations or a bolero this is your place to go! Look no further! I thought it was imposible to have the idea of my bolero come to life, (several seamstresses had said it couldn't be done) but boy did the girls at Tailored in White deliver! I must say the alterations do take some time and you will be required to go in about 10 plus times, and it's a little pricey BUT!! So so worth your time and money! They are the best! If you are a new bride hesitant to have any alterations made on your dress, trust me you will be in the best hands. They made my dress fit like a glove , and made my bolero from scratch (I provided the fabric) and it came out amazing! The amount of time , and dedication they put into each gown, reflects on the amazing results! I couldn't be happier! Thank you Tailored in White for making everything so special! read more

If I could give more than 5 stars, I DEFINITELY would! Tailored in White saved the day with minimal time to spare! My dress fit pretty good from the beginning so I figured I would not need it tailored. Fast forward to 3 weeks prior to my wedding and I realized I had about 5 extra inches of dress around my midsection. I contacted Cora and got a response literally within minutes. I was able to get in the next day and my dress was finished only two weeks later. I admit I was really worried because my dress was form fitting with a lace layer and I didn't know how she could possibly hide a seam. Well needless to say, she did and I'm pretty sure there has never been a dress that fit better than this one! Not only did she do an EXCELLENT job but she was just a pleasure to work with and even texted instructions for the bustle the day prior to the wedding, so helpful!!! Anyways, ALL IN ALL Tailored in White is the best! read more

I cannot praise Cora enough for her stunning work on my bridal gown. Her attention to detail and passion for her craft shined through at each one of my fittings (I had five in total). She also took time out of her weekend to be AT my wedding to ensure I was bustled to perfection before our grand entrance -- this was super beneficial as we had a small incident and tore my train while out taking photo, she was able to get me all fixed up and I had no issues the rest of the night! I would highly recommend anyone needing bridal alterations to reach out to Cora. read more

Can't say enough great things about Cora and her team. They were attentive, professional, and listened to my concerns, needs, and vision going through the alteration process. They made my dress fit like a glove and were willing to help until a few days before the wedding to make sure everything was perfect. Also they dropped the back of the dress and could not have done a better job with the crazy beaded gown I had. It looked like it was made that way. Thank you gals for all of your hard work in making me feel so beautiful! read more

I selected this place for my wedding dress and alterations because I read such great reviews and heard they were extremely meticulous. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I was supposed to pick up my dress last week for an afternoon appointment and they called me at noon saying that it wasn't done and they were currently working on it. I paid for my dress nearly 3 years ago (my wedding has been rescheduled several times due to COVID restrictions); it is ridiculous that they knew of my appointment time incredibly far in advance and still weren't done with it. They asked me to reschedule my pick up appt for today and I agreed. I go to pick up my dress today and they tell me that it is still not ready and they needed me to try on the dress again for more alterations. The dress is looking like a craft project and not even close to being done. They re-scheduled my pick up appointment for later this week, but I am not confident or optimistic of the outlook. They know my wedding is in 2 weeks and if my dress is not looking perfect they will CERTAINLY be hearing more from me about my frustration. I even talked with the manager and they refused to give me a discount or anything for the hassle. The conversation was condescending and did not take responsibility of the situation. read more

So I have never left a negative review before but I wanted to warn people about the experience I had. I am a breast cancer survivor, 63 years old. This place was recommended to me because I need to cover up certain things with the bodice. The young girl who helped me was obviously in a hurry to take off for what I later found out was a vacation. She informed me I was late when I arrived but I was actually 15 minutes early based on my conversation with the girl I booked with. She was pushy, showed no compassion or concern for my challenge, and really only had time to try and force me to sign my quote sheet. I told her twice I wanted to talk it over with my daughter to make sure her design plan was the best way to go. I also let her know I would like some options which she gave me none. When I made them aware that I still had not received any suggestions from her but that I was constantly getting the quote sheet reminders in my text they promised she would get back to me. An entire week went by and no one contacted me. They would not even turn off their text reminder to pay that kept coming to my phone every two days. When I said I was going to cancel they graciously returned my hundred dollar fee, but the excuse from the owner for not contacting me was that they were all very busy. I am very easy-going and only needed a little extra reassurance but I did not receive it. They may be great with young women, I don't know, but they certainly did not come through for me. She turned what would've been a very exciting, fun experience into a very unpleasant one. I would just say there are too many places that do great work to be treated like that. read more

Cora truly saved my Wedding Day!! I was dissatisfied with the alterations done to my dress by another seamstress, and luckily was then referred then to Cora by Grace and Style Bridal. Cora was able to squeeze me into her busy schedule and turn my wedding gown into the dress of my dreams just two weeks before my wedding! She is hard working, professional, and sweet as can be! She worked relentlessly on my tricky lace sleeves, illusion neckline, and massive train to bussel until it was perfection. She is a woman of true talent. I would recommend her to any Bride or Bridesmaid. Cora can do it all, and always does it with a smile! read more

I recently had my wedding dress altered at Tailored in White. Their team added beautiful halter straps to my strapless gown and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! The team at this company were incredibly professional and attentive to my needs, and they took the time to make sure that my dress fit me perfectly. From my first consultation with them, I knew I was in great hands. The team listened to me and took the time to understand what I wanted to achieve with my dress alterations. They were able to provide great ideas to help me achieve the look I wanted and were also very flexible and responsive throughout the entire process. When I picked up my dress, I was amazed by how stunning it looked with the halter straps. They were exactly what I had imagined, and the workmanship was impeccable. They had even gone to the extent of matching the tulle on the straps to the tulle on the dress, which really added a beautiful touch. I received so many compliments on my dress on my wedding day, and I am absolutely thrilled with the end result. I would highly recommend this wedding dress alterations company to anyone that is looking for high-quality, personalized alterations for their wedding dress. They truly went above and beyond to make sure that my dress was perfect and I could not be more thankful for their expertise and attention to detail. Thank you so much for making my wedding day even more special! read more

Cora is heaven sent. I am so glad I found her through another bride that I know. She was so detailed and precise from start to finish. She is quite the perfectionist. She truly went above and beyond for my wedding party and I. I am so pleased with the service here at Tailored in White. I came to Cora about 2 months before my wedding in a crisis. I purchased a dress at a bridal shop that closed down and had to hurry to buy another one, I got the dress rushed delivered and I came to Cora with high hopes that she could help me. She did above and beyond what I imagined. She pretty much customized the dress that I took her. She is known for creating the hour glass shape and snatching the waist areas of dresses to make you look nice and curvy in all the right places. She is sweet and full of life. I just love her. Cora is definitely the seamstress that you want to keep in touch with. She can do anything and when I say anything I mean it. She works so hard and she doesn't stop until you are 100% happy with your alterations. Her shop is nice and chic, very personable and clean, I love it. She's located in Scottsdale, the perfect area with great parking. I could go on and on, overall I would give her 10 stars if I could. Thank you Cora for creating the perfect dress for my wedding day. You are truly the best. Hugs and kisses read more

I don't even know where to start! Cora is truly a genius. She's BEYOND talented and I would recommend her without hesitation to ANY bride. Here is why... 1) She worked effortlessly with me in a short period of time to essentially reconstruct my wedding gown. My dress fit every inch and curve of my body. I felt so beautiful and confident on my wedding day and I received soooo many compliments! 2) She went above and beyond to help me the day of my wedding, helped me get in my dress, helped me with adjusting my padding in the gown, steamed my dress (and left the steamer for my bridal party to use for their dresses as well), and she also came back before my reception to help me with my bustle (which was PERFECT by the way). 3) She is very patient, and she is willing to change and adjust anything you may feel needs adjustment. Once you tell her your vision for your dress, she makes sure that your vision has truly come to life! 4) She is very pleasant, professional and passionate about her work. She made my special day less stressful and I truly appreciate her for it. I plan on working with Cora in the future. She is truly heaven sent. I am so happy to have met her, and I plan on recommending her to everyone I know!! :) read more

Cora was truly AMAZING! She went above and beyond in so many ways to make sure that my wedding dress was exactly the way I wanted it to be. I met with two seamstresses before I met with Cora and I'm so happy I kept looking until I found her. She immediately got the look I was going for with my dress and explained to me exactly how she'd go in and alter it. Now here's where the amazing part comes in. I originally said I didn't want a train, so she completely pinned my dress to trim it, then after I changed my mind, she took everything out and completely repinned it to give me a train and perfect little bustle. She also came to my house to do the final, last little alterations on the dress. That's how great she is, she wants to be sure you are completely happy with your dress on your wedding day. I'm so happy I went with Cora, she cares about making your dress perfect for you and will go above and beyond to get it there. Also, her prices were very reasonable. She was about on the same level as the other 2 seamstresses I had consultations with, and for all the work she put into my dress, I left feeling like it was a steal. Thank you Cora! read more

Honestly I don't what I would have done had we not found the girls at TIW! I had several concerns with the fit of my dress . The store where purchased just didn't seem to be hearing what my vision was . It was like they were not listening . Concerned my dress would never fit the way I wanted I started calling some very reputable stores for recommendations . I was told "if you want the very best go to Tailored in white " So glad I did . They altered every inch of the dress to my body. Done things I didn't even know was a option . They took the dress I loved and made it 100X better . The dress that was heavy and falling down and not secure became a absolute dream I didn't want to take off . I cannot day thank you enough to all the girls ! Especially Shaylynn who came to my wedding helped me in my dress and made sure it was perfect all thru my photos . They are more then alterations. They are friends and the very best at what they do . I would imagine this must be what the top celebs designers and alterations do . If you like perfection don't even consider taking your dress or designer clothing anywhere else . They perform Magic !!! read more

I have never felt the need to leave a review of somewhere in my entire life. But I'm doing this to help other brides from suffering like I did. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE. They absolutely destroyed my dress. I am officially 1 week from my wedding and the "seamstresses" absolutely ruined my dress by rushing through their work, making it look like a 3 year old tailored it, and also stained the dress and made it look like they used it as a napkin while eating ribs. It was ripped on the outside, and when you looked at the inside of the dress, it looked like a rat crawled up and ate the fabric. I'm not sure where these people learned to sew, but I think my first grade students could do a better job. Had to take it somewhere else with a week and a half left until my wedding. When I was crying at how badly they messed it up, they were entirely unhelpful, and extremely rude and disrespectful. I have never seen such unprofessional, untalented human beings in my life and I can't believe this place is still open. Absolutely horrendous. Go literally anywhere else but here. See photos for their BRUTAL work. read more

WOW... no words can express the amount of gratitude I have for Cora, Lauren, and the entire team!!! Not only were they incredibly thorough during every appointment, they were so fun to work with and made me feel at ease every time I was there! They took their time altering a little bit here and there in order to ensure the perfect fit, and it was truly was the PERFECT fit! The entire process of a wedding can be extremely stressful, but I can honestly say that my dress alterations were the ONE thing that I was never worried or stressed about all because of them. I had orginially gone to a different alterations place to begin with due to a referal and was basically told that none of the things I wanted to change were possible. Needless to say I left there in tears, thinking I had chosen the wrong dress for my wedding. Cora and her team welcomed me with open arms and assured me that nothing I was asking for was out of the ordinary and made everything happen! I will never be able to thank them enough for basically saving my dress and going beyond my expectations! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!! read more

My wedding dress was ordered through a reputable and popular wedding boutique. It had three months to arrive plus I paid $200 for a rush to be sure the dress would arrive on time, needless to say, the dress was due to arrive the week I was leaving for my Maui Wedding. The boutique sold me the dress like the one I had ordered on their rack and refunded my rush money. Then they sent me to see Cora with a dress that wasn't the right size and eight days remaining until my flight to Maui and 12 days until my wedding. I was very devastated, disappointed and skeptical when I arrived to meet her with my dress. After talking with her and trying my dress on for the first fitting I knew I was in good hands. Cora worked non stop on my dress for 8 days with many fittings and changes. The dress looked better than I could have ever imagined. She was a perfectionist and added many elegant and stunning features. Such is a true professional and her expertise really shows all her talents. read more

Wow! Just wow! After I got my dress I was told to make my way to Tailored in White. So I did. After buying your dress most tailors just take your measurements and hope it works, not TIW. The TIW team made the experience magical, yes magical. Every appointment was so fun I felt like I was going to hang with girlfriends. I'm not gonna lie it takes a lot of appointments to get it perfect but that's what's so magical about this amazing team. They make sure everything is 100% perfect before moving on to the next stage. Every person I worked with was a star and amazing. As a women with curves they made me always feel so beautiful and wonderful. It was like having my own personal girl squad every week. Cora is nothing short of a miracle worker! She went above and beyond, from my first fitting to the last, to make sure my dress was perfect for my big day. She had suggestions that I had never even heard of or would have considered to make the dress even more perfect to fit me and my body. After, what was supposed to be my last fitting, Cora was unsatisfied with my dress not being absolutely perfect. She made some last minute alterations and stayed up all night hand sewing - at no additional cost to me. Cora is a perfectionist with an eye for detail and design. Kora and her team do phenomenal work; they are personable, hard-working, and they make sure you're leaving with exactly what you're looking for in a fit. Not only did Kora go through endless bridal undergarment options with me, making sure my dress fit me like a glove, Kora's team took a second-hand veil I had purchased, and worked through research and trial and error to custom design a gold-foil flecked veil for my wedding. It made the entire experience uncomfortable. She briefly came out to point out that she had fixed some loose fabric, and then went back into the other room. It wasn't until I went back into the dressing room by myself that I noticed one side of the bust fabric looked thicker than the other. My family told me it wasn't very noticeable, so I reluctantly took the dress home. Once I tried it on again in better lighting I found additional issues, including bumps showing through the fabric, the outline of the sewn-in bra cup, and the shoulder straps were too short making the dress uncomfortable close to my armpit. This is disappointing given the fact that the alterations cost twice as much as my actual dress. I contacted the owner with photos and she tells me that it's her policy that when customers leave the store that's it (I wasn't told this) but she was willing to fix the problems. I live an hour away and work full-time, so making another trip is difficult. We agreed on a Saturday and told me I could come anytime. A few days later she tells me she wouldn't be there until after 1:00 p.m. because she had other brides. This was frustrating because when I first did my alterations, I was specifically told there were no appointments for wedding dress alterations and that I could come anytime. So I'm not sure what's going on with that. What bothered me most was her response to my concerns. She repeatedly insisted that because I left the store with the dress, I must have been happy with it. She also told me she had security camera footage showing that I liked the dress. That completely ignored the fact that I discovered additional problems after getting home and that I had already explained why I didn't feel comfortable bringing up every concern during my fitting. Because of both the quality of the alterations and the way my concerns were handled afterward, I will not be returning, even though she offered to make additional repairs. This experience was stressful and unpleasant. I do not recommend this place.
