2 Proteins Rice Bowl
Anh P.

I did not have the good experience with this location. I came here around 6pm. The place was clean and plenty parking lots. There were few groups of customers waiting for their orders. I ordered my food using the table so I didn't speak with any staff. I got 2 protein rice bowl and sushi burrito and boba milk. The burrito was okay. The rice bowl looked very messy and all sauces I ordered were missing. I did not know if at that time, the restaurant didn't want customers to dine in or what, but my dine-in order turned into to go by their system and I received food with no fork/spoon or napkins.

Small sitting area. We had kids with us so we sat on the little couches. The boba tea and smoothies were a huge hit with adults and kids. Service was great. The recommendations were spot on. We had the Teriyaki Chicken for the less adventurous of the group and the Tonkotsu Ramen with Pork for the rest of us. The kids all loved the ramen and we will definitely order everything again next time.

YUM. I love trying new foods and I'm honestly not sure how I never knew about this chain...there's so many throughout Rochester. The customer service has been pretty good the past two times I've gone. The ambiance is casual, nice music.

1st time to have bubble tea and food at Tai Chi. We went to the Rochester location as that was the one nearest to us but it was closed. It was Christmas Eve and all locations were closed except for the Irondequoit location and so we went for another 15-min drive. It's worth the trip though as the food we ordered was delicious. The salad bowl was really good. We all ordered salad. The takeout box was packed to the hilt which was great. Two people can actually share one order. Lol! I tried to finish mine but was only able to eat 75% of it. The mango green tea was refreshing. My family ordered kiwi, passionfruit and pineapple green teas. All good.

This is my "closest to home" Tai Chi location and I really adore it. It doesn't have the same layout as many of the other locations, and I will say that I prefer the interior and flow of the Henrietta location. BUT - this location stands on its own in terms of quality, service and deliciousness. The sugary sweet taro bubble tea is my forever bubble tea order, and I love the sushiritos as well. Grab the food menu order sheet prior to heading up to the register, and then bubble tea ir ordered up at the bar. They are offering takeout and delivery during COVID-19 at this location only (no ramen), which is truly amazing. I am looking forward to ordering at some point very soon, and supporting the amazing team at Tai Chi! If you're still waiting to grab some goodies, this is the moment!

Great location! This branch has a small outdoor patio with no shade or umbrellas. Fast and reliable service. The staff move quickly! Perfect for a casual lunch date!

Heard this spot had sushi burritos - so, of course I had to check it out! The results - AMAZING! At a great price, the sushi burrito had a nice size and was absolutely packed with flavor! I will be back again. And again. And again. They allow you to customize exactly what you want, instead of most places that force you into choosing their preset options. The bonus? Incredibly delicious bubble tea to help wash down that yummy sushi burrito!

This is a great fast casual spot with made to order burritos and bowls, and delicious hot and cold tea in every flavor imaginable. If you like to customize your meal, this is the place for you. I find myself here when I'm out running errands and need a quick and healthy lunch. The food comes out fast and the veggies are fresh. I usually order a cold fruit flavored tea with "regular" tapioca. I think I've had peach and passionfruit tea flavors, which are both so good. The drink options can be overwhelming, but the staff is helpful with suggestions. The only issue I've had here is that I had to go up and request avocado on my bowl two visits in a row even though it was checked on my checklist.

This place having bubble tea in the name is kind of misleading. I am by Culver Ridge plaza a lot, and I remember seeing the sign when Taichi was originally moving in, and I was like gross!! Tea, yuck! And I never thought much else of it. Fellow yelpers started posting bubble tea pictures, and posting that they had food, too, and I started paying more attention. I'd have never imagined they had bowls without seeing it on here. As a newbie, I felt a little lost. The menus behind the counter were off, so there was only a big menu down the hall on the wall, which wasn't too helpful because you had to remember what to order. I had seen the paper you fill out for your bowl online, so I started with that. I ordered a salad bowl, added rice, lettuce, kale, tofu, carrots, avocado, cream cheese and wonton noodles. I ordered the spicy mayo on the side in case it was too hot for me. Apparently adding rice makes it a rice bowl. The girl behind the counter told me that the only difference between the salad bowl and rice bowl is the scoop of rice. I personally didn't like the rice, so I got a salad bowl next time. I did love my bowl though! I loved the cream cheese bites in it, and the spicy mayo was awesome!!! Everything tasted fresh, and I loved it. So, as my first bubble tea experience, I did feel kinda stupid. I had looked online, and knew I wanted the Taro Milk Tea. I was fully prepared to try this and hate it and throw the whole thing in the trash, so I decided to get the Taro one and go all in. I had read online it was supposed to taste like cookies and cream. She asked me something about boba and tapioca, and since the menu wasn't in front of me, I just said ok to whatever she said, lol. I picked up my tea and poked a hole with the giant straw and took a sip. I really didn't know what to expect, so I was happy when it was at least tolerable. I got a sip of it, and one of the tapioca balls at the bottom. The balls were kinda weird and gummy, but they were ok. I was really happy that I didn't choke on one of them while I was in the restaurant and make a fool of myself! The "tea" didn't really taste like tea at all, which was fine with me. It did kind of taste like cookies and cream, but if fruit loops had sat in the milk first. It had some sort of slight fruity taste. It was ok...kind of even good, but I don't think it's something I'd get again. However, after having some idea of what I was getting, and having looked at the menu online, I had a better idea of what I wanted to try the next time. Basically, if you'd like the flavor in milk, you should be ok. Like strawberry milk, or banana milk, or coconut milk. etc. So by my next visit, I was a pro and knew what I was doing...maybe. :) You can easily tell who the first timers to this place are. By the second time you know right where the forms are for your bowl, so you go right to them. I even helped someone find them, which made me feel special, lol. And the tea menu behind the counter was lit up this time, but I didn't even need it! I ordered my salad bowl, and I got a Vanilla Milk Tea with strawberry boba. Truth be told, while I do like vanilla and strawberry, I really got this combo because I thought it would be a pretty picture. And it was! I'm a sucker for a pretty drink. The vanilla tea definitely tasted more like tea than the taro. It was still drinkable though, and I don't like tea. The strawberry boba balls were also good, and much more juicy than gummy like the tapioca ones. I think I would prefer something in the middle. I might try the yogurt boba next time. I really don't think bubble tea is for me, but I see how it's fun to combine all the different flavors if you do like it. And there's ton of combinations you could try! But the bowls here are awesome, and I will keep coming back for those! The rice bowl I got came with a ton of dressing on the side, so I assumed my salad would. For some reason, I only got one spicy mayo this time, which wasn't enough for even half of my salad. I'll be sure to ask for extra next time. And I asked for extra cream cheese this time, and I definitely got that! I love that taste of cream cheese in the salad. So good! If you feel weird coming in here, try not to. I think they're used to it. If you go to this location, the sheets to fill out are right inside the door to the right. And if you look at the pictures on here, you can be prepared with your bubble tea order before you get there. Without Yelp, I'd have never have even gone in this place, and now I'll be here all the time! Go check it out.

I visited Tai Chi Bubble Tea for lunch and got the Sushi Burrito and Mango Green Tea. Both were great! First, I absolutely love the decor here -- they have tons of cute panda stuffed animals (that you can purchase for $10) and lots of vibrant greenery and flowers. This works as a fast casual type of place. You'll place your order at the counter and then you can fill out a menu card for a sushi burrito, poke bowl, or salad bowl. There are *tons* of options for fillings, including protein, veggies, crunchies, and lots of sauces. I settled on the burrito with crabstick and multiple mix ins and was very satisfied. All of the ingredients were nice and fresh. The burrito looked on the smaller side but was surprisingly filling. They also have a bunch of options for drinks. I got the mango green tea with lychee jellies. If you're new to bubble tea, it's probably going to be sweeter than what you would normally think of for tea. It's delicious, though! I really enjoyed everything about Tai Chi Bubble Tea and will return again soon!

Always looking for lean but protein filled meals. I love the variety of meals and the amount of flavor. I favor the burritos here but my wife prefers the bowls. You can go sweet or spicy depending on your preference. I like the sweet. They also have amazing bubble tea rounding out the delicious meal options. Side note- If you're into cool back drops for your social media account.. they have a full greenery filled wall

I was visiting family when in town for work, and had eaten at the location in Perinton years ago…read more Decided that I wanted to come back and try their location closer to downtown Rochester. Street parking is available, no charge for that. We encountered construction so we had to drive around for a bit but it was worth it. Seated immediately one arriving, we went with a couple appetizers- my personal favorite, the scallion pancake and the steamed bao with BBQ pork belly inside. That comes two to an order so it worked out nicely. Both were exceptional. The scallion pancake is like no other. Extra crispy, incredibly flavorful- and I love their dipping sauce. Vinegary, sweet and sour. The buns were pillowy soft and the pork belly was tender and full of that smoky BBQ taste. For entrees, we chose the Kung Pow Shrimp and the Singapore style curry noodles that came with shrimp, bbq pork, and beef. Both dishes were plentiful. The shrink was definitely spicy, you can see with all of the red chilies in the sauce, with the peanuts and celery pieces cut on the bias for a classy look. The portion on the Singapore noodles was very hefty...we upgraded our rice to fried rice so we had a lot of food today. All in all, this was an enjoyable visit. Since I am headed home tonight I wanted to be sure I had enough food to last me the rest of the day until I get back to ATL. This place ALWAYS delivers! Support small businesses!

PROS: The food! Everything is delicious--noodles, dumplings, Thai, Chinese, stir fry, vegan,…read moreseafood--all of it. I've both dined in and done pickup. Portions are excellent and prices are reasonable for the area. The restaurant is cute and stylish and the open kitchen is a nice touch. CONS: The notification system for pickups is just plain wrong. We were informed our order was ready five minutes before we arrived and then waited another ten minutes upon arrival. I suspect that I know what this is all about: the moral scourge that is DoorDash. Giving early (and inaccurate) pickup times means that the drivers are there before the food is ready and it therefore doesn't get cold and inspire customer complaints. What it does do is create a waiting mass at the front of the store that then causes the kitchen to rush and--forget your lo mein order. So bummer that. You owe me five bucks, Han. I'm a forgiving sort, so we'll likely be back at some point in future visits to Rochester.
