the chili oil is very good here so if you can handle spice i'd recommend asking for a side of it . i usually order the kha poon and spring rolls to go (hu tieu is also a solid choice) . fast and friendly service recommend if you're in the area !

Decent place for Asia food. I got here around 6pm on Monday to order for take out. The restaurant was almost half full and 3 staffs running around taking orders and delivery food. The inside of the restaurant may need more light since it feels dark. I got special Pho. It took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready. I enjoy all the beef. They were soft. The broth and noodles were alright. Wish I had more Thai basil in the vegetable bag, I got 2 leaves. Will be back here sometime to try other food. Staffs are friendly

Definitely a good choice for pho! It wasn't my favorite pho I've ever had, but it was pretty comparable to homemade pho I've had in the past. The restaurant itself is a bit small and it was a bit busy when we went, but we still got seated for a table for three relatively quickly. Our pho was prompt and they have plenty of pho and non pho options. There is a small parking lot off to the side too, but street parking is also available

    Brisket Pho

Comfortable place for lunch always get the Brisket Pho, Chefs special wings, fried egg rolls and House special fried rice either a fried egg on top. Always consistent always good food and great floor staff. Get there and try you won't be disappointed!

Looking for good pho & the Monroe ave location is my go to but they are not open Monday. Staff is very sterile & not very welcoming. Just kind of monotone. The floor could use some cleaning & the booths a little updating. Ordered the fresh spring rolls which were very bland & barely had any meat in them. They told us they were out of boba for bubble tea so my daughter was a bit upset. She still wanted a strawberry smoothie but when I tried some it was overly sweet & didn't taste like strawberry but more like cotton candy. Then about 20 mins later someone else at a table next to us ordered boba but was able to get some. She noticed & said how come they got it but I didn't. Just poor customer service to say you're out of it & then have the next customer who orders receive it. Pho was hot but nothing to brag about. Ok flavor but even with the sauce given for spice it was still mild. Unfortunately I don't think we will be coming back here. Not worth it.

The Phone was really good and plentiful. The sputtering rolls were fresh. I would definitely will come back.

Love SEA- so so much! now that we live closer to the Mt Hope location- we go there a little too often the staple for us is their thin slice eyeround steak pho- or the vermicelli. Lately, we've been branching out- green curry, yellow curry, pad Thai, yellow noodles, and most recently ... crispy noodles (aka birds nest). I don't have anything negative to say about any dish. We tried The crispy noodles for the first time this last weekend. It was so surprisingly amazing- my new favorite!! Crispy and soft at the same time- because once the sauce hits it, it's magic. And it just looks beautiful

First time visiting Rochester and was craving Viet food and came across SEA since it had such strong reviews. I tried out the Phơ Tái (Medium Rare Beef Pho) and the Bún Thịt Nướng (Vermicelli Noodles with Pork). Phơ Tái, Medium Rare Beef Pho: The broth was decent and had nice flavours. It was actually a decent sized bowl considering for only one size. Usually I don't get entirely full from pho but this place certainly had large portions. Bún Thịt Nướng, Vermicelli Bowl with Pork: It was alright, nothing too extraordinary. The fish sauce (nước mắm) was too salty and didn't really have the usual authentic flavour as I expected. However, portions were good. Overall considering Rochester didn't have a wide range of Vietnamese restaurants, it certainly satisfies the craving though I would only recommend the phơ. The service was friendly and note that it does get pretty busy on a weekend night.

Head chef Nalee Phommachanh had the vision alongside owner (and sister-in-law) Vilay Sysavath. The family- run business offers a diverse and authentic Southeast Asian menu, a quarterly rotating chef specials menu with paired rotating drinks, and a full-service bar with specialty Soju-based cocktails and other Asian-fusion beverages. My wife and I were in Rochester for a thrift show and wanted to grab some lunch. We love Vietnamese, pho is one of my favorite foods, so we decided to give them a try and we were glad we did. The restaurant is small and jam packed full of tables, but we were still able to be sat and given menus immediately around 2PM on a Saturday. We decided to order a bunch of things and share them. Obviously, we got a bowl of pho, along with an order of egg rolls, a chicken lemongrass plate, and a couple pf Thai teas. Our food took a bit to come, but it was pretty busy, and we were very happy with our food. Everything was delicious. The grilled chicken from the platter had awesome lemongrass flavor, the pho's broth was flavorful, the egg rolls were absolutely amazing, and the portions were huge - we had plenty to take home afterwards. Employees were friendly, prices were comparable to similar restaurants. We'd definitely go again if in the area.

Unsurprisingly, I originally visited to try the pho itself. While the pho is served with a plate of Thai basil, hoisin, siracha, sprouts and lime to add flavor, I'm still somewhat regularly disappointed in the lack of umami flavor in the broth itself. It lacks some depth. There are also times when my broth wasn't quite as hot as I would have wanted. Generally, the pho is fine... but there are better options around Henrietta and Rochester. Just something to keep in mind. I've had a variety of other dishes as well, and the pork banh mi is another that could use some improvement. In the couple times that I've had it, it seems to be very dry. I want a scrumptious banh mi with plenty of pickled veggies and a flavorful pork... but that isn't what I've experienced here. It's served with a broth on the side, and that's fine... but I want my flavor *IN* the sandwich... without having to use a broth as a substitute to add moisture to the meat or flavor to the sandwich. On a recent visit, I brought my mother. She ended up ordering the shrimp fried rice for her lunch, and, while the size was large (she ended up needing a takeout container to bring about half of it home), she found the dish to be lacking in flavor and components (noting that more vegetables might have been nice). During this visit, I also ordered the spicy cucumber salad for the first time... and also found *that* side lacking in flavor. There was an itsy bitsy amount of spice... but for something marked on the menu as spicy? It wasn't what I was expecting. Service was fine, and the overall ambience of the restaurant is inviting and clean. The entrance/exit can be a bit rough for cars that are a bit lower to the road... just something to be aware of.

The pork belly in the buns was melt in your mouth tender with a delicious sauce. Entree wise we got the Szechuan diced chicken and the sweet and sour pork ribs. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned, I could definitely taste Szechuan peppercorn 10/10. The pork ribs were sweet and saucy they came with pieces of pineapple and bell pepper. We will be back!

The inside was clean but the AC was barely noticeable on such a hot day. Waitress came over with water and an iPad for ordering then didn't show up for another 10+ minutes. I finally walked everything over the the counter to get her attention and placed my order. I started with the fresh veggie spring rolls. These were just ok. The dipping sauce was quite spicy, and even with that they tasted pretty bland. No discernible herbs in the rolls at all, just some tofu, carrot, & lettuce. For my entree I got a vegan banh mi. It came out warm and the baguette was crunchy, if a bit dense. Again, very little fresh veg on it which is usually the highlight of a banh mi. There was a few pieces of iceburg lettuce (unheard of on a banh mi!) and one or two sprigs of cilantro, along with the same sauce from the fresh spring rolls. It was a bit disappointing but at least it filled my belly. Couldn't find the waitress to ask for more water or napkins, so I made do with what I had. I'd eat here again if I really had to, but I'd prefer to try elsewhere.
