List of cocktails and drinks. We tried 4 on total 3 were not enjoyable.
Karina H.

The Good: There's parking unless area is busy. The restaurant looks clean and plenty if seating for weekday meal with friends. The Bad: Online pictures are nothing like the actual look of the presented dish. Our party of 4 was split in the opinion of this place. The prices on line and in person are at least $2.00 higher on a few items. Some drinks are made with a "twist"but should probably be renamed and not labeled after "Mojito and Sex on the beach". Really terrible taste. We enjoyed the Soju and appetizers unanimously. The worst part to our evening celebration came when 9pm came and we had to leave. The birthday girl left behind present & birthday card. I quickly called the restaurant which was closed by then. I was told they were cleaning and took name & # to call back as they were in the process of cleaning and was going to check with server and clearing person. Well, 4 phone calls later and 1 unresponsive email to the restaurant I was told nothing was left and nothing was found. I can certainly say that isn't so. We all remember the item left behind and was very descriptive. I love supporting small businesses so this is dissapoiting and unacceptable. At least return calls and messages. We won't be returning here and not recommending. Wild Elephant was chosen to come celebrate and we're left with this experience.

Coconut & Mango Creme Brulee

I always enjoy all the food that is offered and variety as well. I had spring rolls, mango coconut creme brûlée and Lad Nah! Delicious and filling with Thai milk tea!

We had a great experience at The Wild Elephant. We tried the rare steak pho, and my husband ordered the pho that comes with every type of meat. We're originally from Southern California and eat pho all the time, so we have a pretty good idea of what we like and what to expect. The flavor here was a bit different than what we're used to, but in a really good way--it was still rich, comforting, and very well made. We also ordered the fried ice cream, which was absolutely amazing and the perfect way to end the meal. On top of the great food, the service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Tiramisu yummo

My BF and I stopped in for a couple of appetizers and desert. They have the best calamari in Rochester. Nice and delicate, with tentacles, not rubbery or chewy. No rings. Nice selection of side dips. Fresh spring rolls, the peanut sauce was amazing! The shrimp fresh, would have rather had Thai Basil in there instead of cilantro. Personal preference, and I should have asked. It was very fresh. Chicken Potsticker's, were cooked perfectly, dipping sauce was awesome. I probably wouldn't order again, only because they were not as big a hit as some of their other dishes. Ordered Tiramisu, amazing flavor, but be careful, lots of caffeine, I might be sensitive, but I would not recommend ordering after 4pm, if you want to sleep. lol Ambiance is classy and friendly. I just love popping in here at transom times. I know I have done several reviews on them. But excited to have them in the neighborhood. Highly recommend checking them out. They are even good for popping for a drink and wings, they have a nice bar, and large screen TV's

We saw this place while playing Mini-golf and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! Everything was fantastic. We started with spring rolls which were nicely filled and came with great dipping sauce. We then shared both Thai Fried Rice and Pas See Eew. The noodles were so tender and in a wonderful sauce. The Thai Fried Rice was a standout and was fragrant and crave-able. Service was very attentive and friendly. Their patio is also lovely. We plan to return. We also plan to order takeout sometimes as well. It was fantastic!

Papaya Salad Spritz

IM IN LOVE. IM OBSESSED. We came to check out this spot on Saturday and were blown away. We started with a papaya salad Thai style level two and loved the addition of the peanuts it was delicious and still pretty spicy! For drinks I got the papaya salad spritz which was super refreshing with a lil kick and the Vietnamese espresso martini which was 20/10 the condensed milk sugar rim made the drink and it tasted JUST LIKE a viet coffee super bold but still creamy and sweet. For food I got the fried fish with red curry they had on special and again was blown away. The curry was so delicious and flavorful I loved how the coconut milk in it paired with the spices. I can't wait to come back and try their angel wings!!!

Pork belly with sticky rice and papaya salad. The level 2 heat in the papaya salad was too much.

This place is amazing. We met Pang, the owner, and she is extremely nice. Her hospitality is exceptional. The food was delicious and service was outstanding. I highly recommend the Crying Tiger or the Pork belly. I would caution you that a level 2 heat is very very hot. If you don't like spicy ask for level 0.

Pad Kra Pao
Crystal H.

Every food item that we got was flavorful and delicious. Our takeout order included crab rangoon's, satay, Pad See Eew, and Pad Kra Pao. Generous portions to serve 3 people and we had leftovers! The Pad Kra Pao was amazing with Thai basil, peppers, onions and plenty of sauce. While our meal was takeout, I did see that they have a large dining room and everything was clean inside.

Our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Very solid. I love some heat and medium was plenty.

My friend and I ordered mocktails which we both enjoyed. We then ordered gochu belly buns and the braised beef French onion soup. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy and make the soup gluten free! It was delicious. For our entrees, I ordered the sweet deal salad and my friend ordered the green curry stir fry. Mine wasn't anything crazy, tasted as I expected but it was still good. My friend, on the other hand, did not love her dish. She is a big curry person and said the sauce lacked flavor (which I tried and agreed with). The tofu was nice and crispy, dry though. There wasn't enough sauce in the dish. The mushrooms were the most flavorful.

This was the first time we had a bad experience at Nosh. Our server was wonderful, which is why…read morethis is a 3 instead of a 2 (really felt like a 2.5). I had the La Higuera cocktail which I really enjoyed and my fiancee had the Filthy Hor. She didn't love hers, but it was basically a boozy horchata so I did like it. We decided on two appetizers - the Not Your Pastor's Wings and The Mulita Meltdown. The wings had good flavor and texture. The Mulita Meltdown was good, but not good birria. It didn't feel like real birria, but it was tasty. However, I found a hair in one of the quesadilla pieces so I stopped eating that. We told our server and she offered to bring us something else, but we didn't mind knowing that we still had our entree coming. Our entree was the Okie Dokie Gnocchi and we were definitely looking forward to it. We've loved every pasta dish that they've had over the years (but the braised beef was the best, would love for that to make a comeback) and expected this would not be an exception. However, the texture was off with too many breadcrumbs on top that didn't stay crisp while we were eating. The flavor was pretty good, but it was hard to get past the texture. Then it got worse: Another hair. And it was unquestionably not one of ours either time. We were pretty disappointed. Our server was again apologetic and again offered to bring something else, but I feel it's worth noting that she didn't seem surprised either time. We declined to have her bring another dish, as we had plans elsewhere, and she comped the gnocchi instead. We love Nosh so ultimately we'll likely return in the future, but there are so many good restaurants to try that it will certainly be a while.

This place was highly recommended by a friend I trust. It's now my new favorite spot! There are…read moreso many different items I'm dying to try. We had the chicken/steak hibachi which came with a salad (homemade ginger dressing- yum). We also ordered the beef tacos. This was more than enough food for three people, and was incredible. Can hardly wait to go back and try some of the other options. The Owner Lisa is extremely gifted... a very talented chef. Not only was she warm and personable, but also a smart business woman. There are places to sit down and eat, but it appears that most of their business is takeout. I strongly disagree with the previous review that someone unfairly left (one star review). I did not see ripped or tattered chairs, or anything like that. The kitchen was clean as was the dining area. Most importantly the food prep was meticulous (you can see in the kitchen as she cooks) and it was by far some of the tastiest cuisine I've had in a long time. As Arnold says, "I'll be back!"

I heard the food was really good, so I was only a little put-off when arriving. This little place…read morehad no air conditioning, the chairs were ripped and the cooler which held sodas and water was not working. I had called ahead and asked if they accepted debit/credit cards and was told yes, but they omitted telling me that I'd have to use the ATM on the premises with a card. ‍ I'd been looking for decent Pho since leaving Austin, so I was hopeful. They packed my order of Pho with tofu "to-go", even though I hadn't asked them to do so, which was probably best, because I definitely would have complained about the food had we eaten there. The Pho was very disappointing, as the broth was as boring as opening a box of stock and heating it up. No star of anise, no cinnamon, no spices, no depth of flavor. To make things worse, the tofu had an "off" sour flavor and the bean sprouts were slimy. This appeared to be a recipe for potential sickness, so everything went into the garbage. We also ordered spring rolls, which fell apart when picking them up, so they weren't rolled properly. The peanut sauce was just so-so. The Thai iced coffee was delicious. All-in-all, this was a huge waste of $40. I won't be back.
