This place is super delicious! The first time I came here with my friend we ordered steak burritos and we were very surprised and pleased with the proportion.... definitely very filling! Can't say that I'm an expert in tacos or burritos but the food at Taco Sinaloa does not disappoint​! I've been here twice now and I've tried new things both times. Their tacos are just $2 each and are really good. Still, one taco would probably not get anyone full as it's quite small. They have all the different meats to fill the tacos and all are really good, but their fried pork​ is everything!! Their burritos are around $6 and are very big too. Still, I think that their drinks are what people come back for. The Horchata is good, and I've seen a lot of people order just the strawberry drinks too. Overall, I think that this place is convenient, cheap, but offers delicious food. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the place is a little small. Usually their burritos are really good. Went last night and they were somehow out of rice. Cashier didn't bother mentioning this so I ended up paying $10 for a tiny little burrito that was basically Chile wrapped in a tortilla (just meat and beans). As a fan of the truck in Oakland I was excited when I found out they were making their brick & mortar in Berkeley AND on Telegraph. The place itself is small with few bar seats inside, so I usually take it to go. I can't really complain about anything here! I usually go with the carnitas super burrito and split it with m BF, some al pastor and carne asada tacos, and their horchata. The carnitas here is the thing to get. Nice and crispy it never ceases to disappoint. Their tacos are also stuffed and delicious. Last but not least, their Horchata is so refreshing! We usually get a large and end up drinking more than half by the time we leave. All the food is reasonably priced imo since each super burrito is the length of my forearm. Service here is always friendly and I love that they ask you want sides you want when they call your order so you can always ask for more limes, carrots, etc. They recently added a loyalty program for coming here so be sure to add yourself since you will be coming back! read more

Am I blind? I stared at the menu for a while and maybe I missed it but is there guacamole available? Hmmmm. After a long day of shopping, I needed to eat. I've heard so many great things about this place so I decided today is the day. I looked and really thought about getting tacos but opted for the burrito. Very secretly priced - especially for the size. It was heavy and full of meat. And the flavor was alright. I didn't opt for the carrots or radish but I did get the limes! I went for asada, no sour cream, and it was meh. I added some Tapatio on the bites but honestly, it needed guac. Great service. The location is small and easy to walk by. First, I get that there are all types of burritos and everyone has their favorite. From ones with tons of veggies to those that are just meat and beans. Sinaloa burritos are somewhere in between. I ordered two burritos: suadero and shrimp/camarones. Most of the burrito is rice, protein, and beans. But it is so well seasoned you don't need anything else. I am one of those people who feels like food isn't complete if you don't have some hot sauce or jalapenos to add. Well, with these burritos, the heat level is just right for me, so I can eat an entire burrito without wanting to add anything to it. I used to love this place. Looks like they changed their menu recently. In the past I was able to get a burrito with guacamole, veggies and everything in it for a reasonable price. Now burritos are 14$ and all you get is rice, beans and meat. What the fuck???? In addition to that service was rude, defensive and unfriendly. The Cabeza was super salty too. My go-to place to get tacos in Berkeley!! I usually come on Taco Tuesdays for the buy 4 get 1 free deal (Note: deal does not apply during the summer). My total is just under $10. There is typically a line for dinner on Tuesdays. The line often extends out the door during the school year, but it is always worth the wait! The employees do a great job in getting the orders out as quickly as they can. I always order 2 pork stomach, 2 carnitas, and 1 carne asada tacos. All three of these meats are great, but pork stomach is my absolute favorite. These meats pair really well with the included onions, cilantro, and salsa. These tacos are really flavorful and juicy! Don't forget to ask for lime once your tacos are ready. I also normally get a strawberry horchata. It's the perfect pink drink with just the right amount of sweetness, and is a great addition to your tacos. It's a pretty small shop so there is very limited seating especially if you come with a group. Overall, I highly recommend Tacos Sinaloa. read more

I fell in love with tacos during my 5 month stay in Texas. I thought I'd have to go back to get my legit taco fix. But thank goodness for this Michelin guide taco shop. Michelin has it right. For $2 to $2.50 a taco, the prices are in line with Texas prices, and the food is great. I'm a huge fan of their carnitas and lengua (beef tongue--juicy and tender). I've tried most of their meats at this point, and wouldn't recommend the al pastor or the beef head. Also wish they were more generous with the veggies (radishes, jalapenos, carrots, etc.) since they're almost always self-serve in Texas and I load up. Their salsa does its job, but isn't phenomenal like some others I've had in Texas. The corn tortillas aren't hand made, but they're as good as mass produced corn tortillas get. Make sure you take a sniff and smile :) I tried a little bit of my friend's strawberry horchata--it was alright. I tried to get the Tamarindo agua fresca, but it's "seasonal"... tamarindos are the same price all year round, though. If you are craving for great Mexican food that is NOT Americanized in Berkeley, come to this place! This restaurant has cured all my cravings for Mexican food because apparently, it seems like a difficult task to find a decent restaurant that serves legitimate Mexican food in this area. I usually get the Breakfast Burrito and Carne Asada Tacos which are fan-freaken-tastic. My boyfriend has ordered the Lengua Tacos, and he loves it! I tend not to like lengua, but it's tender here which to me is a thumbs up. The workers are nice, and I love that when I ask for extra condiments, they give it without being stingy. I love how this place sells $2 tacos and had lots of meat! I ordered the carna asada and al pastor. I came here on a Saturday evening about 30 minutes before closing, the employees were very kind and assisted me. The only downside was that the tortilla could have been warmed a little longer. When I took it home to eat it ( I live 3 minutes away), the tortilla was already soggy. I think it was also because they put on the foil right away and the the heat stays inside which makes it soggy. It's opening day! My excitement cannot be contained for this place. Now I was born and raised in Southern California and I like to think I know a thing or two about good tacos and Tacos Sinaloa tastes like HOME. You won't find lettuce or tomatoes or any kind of sour cream and cheese on these tacos, just good old meat, onion, cilantro and salsa. The variety of meat selection is great, lengua, cabeza, pastor you name it. (They even have pescado for .25 cents more) Tacos are $2 each which isn't too bad for what you're getting actually. All of the staff are very professional and despite the long line and wait, got food out as quickly as they could. I expect they'll get better with time. They have aguas frescas too, which are okay. It was #TacoTuesday and #NationalTacoDay so of course I decided to have tacos for dinner. My friends and I decided on Taco Sinaloa because it's conveniently close to where we all live. When we got there around 7PM there was a huge line. I know it's not just because it was national taco day or taco Tuesday because taco Sinaloa always has a line. It's no wonder why! I really enjoy their tacos and usually go for asada tacos. This time I decided to try chicken, so I ordered 2 asada tacos and 1 chicken. My friend ordered spicy pork tacos and my other friend ordered beef tongue and intestine tacos. We probably waited about 15-20mins before we got our tacos. That's a pretty long wait time for tacos, but we knew what we were getting ourselves into when we decided to go to Taco Sinaloa. After we got our tacos we decided to head back to my friends apartment because seating in there is really crowded. I was excited for my tacos and decided to eat the chicken one first just in case I didn't like it. I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Normally I find chicken tacos too dry, but taco Sinaloa cooked the meat really well so that it tasted great. I kinda wish i ordered 2 chicken instead. My friends also really liked their tacos. Our only complaint about the tacos is that it's pretty greasy. The greasiness and the long wait time is why I rated the place 4 stars. But since the tacos are pretty cheap ($2!!!) Can I just that the Taco Gods have heard my prayers? I was always a fan of their taco truck in East Oakland, so when I heard they had a restaurant, I was ecstatic! Definitely lives up to their standards and I found myself smiling as I devoured their lengua, carne asada, and carnitas tacos. The first thing my friend said in gleeful proclamation was how authentic and amazing the tortillas were; she even went on to say that even her parents' tacqueria didn't use tortillas as nice as these. They are super generous with their meat here as well and the presentation of the tacos are very orderly. It comes with pickled jalapeños and carrots, as well as beets and a slice of lime. However, me being me I wish they had more onions and cilantro (: there might have been a slight mix up in my order (which is why I can't say anything about the meat because I don't know which one I got!) due to the sheer volume of people, but despite the small hiccup the workers were very kind. Aqua Fresca is refreshing, very non offensive. I got the pineapple which was sweet enough to keep me sipping on it when I wanted balance from the tacos. They have a grand offering sale where first ten people fri-sat-sun (9/18-20) will get free tacos. And for Friday (their true grand opening) they have a buy two tacos, get one free. Because of that, the lines are outside the door, but fear not! Line goes by quickly as do the orders. And another plus is that the interior is quite small so lines out the door shouldn't mean much.
