Believe the hype! I randomly stumbled upon this taco truck and noticed there were a few ppl waiting at a Smog station and decided I had to check it out. I looked on Yelp to see if it had reviews and was surprised to see so many 5-star reviews. I decided to give it a try and was so happy that I did. You know the tacos are going to be good when they use the small, real-corn (yellow ground corn) tortillas for their tacos. Ordered two fish tacos and two carne asada tacos. They were so good! Yum, street tacos are a little small but tasty! I had the carne asada, pastor, and lengua. All were good. Pastor might have been my favorite. It was my first time going here and my experience was horrible... I was charged $30 for 1 torta and 3 tacos. He told me $30 and I ended up getting charge $33.08 without them telling me they where gonna charge me to pay with card so I called to complain and he said they charge a $3.08 fee to pay with card which is insane. I asked what meats they had when ordering and he gave me an attitude saying if I can't see it on the menu.When I got my order I asked for extra salsa and he said he already gave me 3-5 with an attitude I was holding the bag and he threw them inside the bag with a really bad attitude. I'm always on the lookout for a solid burrito at the $10 price point. I saw they had a veggie burrito for $10 and a super for $12. When i saw that the regular veggie came with avocado I hastily pulled the trigger. While I was waiting for my burrito to arrive I decided to read the fine print. The regular burritos here don't come with cheese or sour cream so it's like a vegan burrito. I don't immediately panic. "This could still work" I say to myself. And short story short it very much did! A very excellent delicious hot and possibly vegan burrito. The generous amount of avocado certainly helped. Was driving by this place and decided to finally pay them a visit. I love tacos and these didn't disappoint. Could have used a bit more meat and less grease on the tortillas but nonetheless they were worth the $16. I gave 3 stars because these are good tacos for the value but not quite the 4-5 star experience/quality. Hand made tortillas and higher quality meats would have put them over the 4 stars. The meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly, there was cheese and sour cream (I love dairy), great salsa, and the stickiness of the collagen was still on my lips and fingers after the taco was devoured... I immediately wanted like FIVE more!! Alas, I had to tend to my sick friend. I ate some extremely substandard Chinese with my friend while wishing I had more tacos instead. So, the VERY NEXT DAY, I made a point to visit this truck again, and I got two cabeza tacos and a corn quesadilla. It was even better than I remembered, and the accompaniments were lovely, generous with the radish and very well charred peppers. This is gonna be my go-to spot for tacos when I'm on San Pablo.
