While I was waiting, I observed that the establishment lacks on restroom to wash your hands. We are still in an era where hand sanitizer is the only option. I order their guarache and boy was I in for a surprise. The meat was very tinder, seasoned to perfection and the tortillas were fresh. We had Carne asada tacos and tortas as well as birria. Their hard shell beef tacos and potato tacos were a hit with my picky eaters. This spot is family owned and run. They were so friendly and welcoming. And watching the parents in the back cooking was very reminiscent of watching family in the kitchen. I am about 15 orders too late on this review.. They are HANDS DOWNS the BEST and I'm speaking even if it arrives from Doordash it's still the BEST menudo ANYWHERE even my own kitchen. I also thought I was great at Lengua(tongue) nope, there's can't even be compared to ANY place I've ever been. In fact it's so delicious you have to go there for the Tongue, it sells out so fast. I've only tried the menudo here. 2nd time trying it. IT IS BOMB AS FUCK!! This is my new place for menudo. First time I ordered through doordash, when I got it it was still hot! Today I picked some up and same thing. It was still hot when I got home and the taste was just as good as the first time. Made me want to try other stuff on the menu. I placed a phone order for a breakfast burrito, went picked up my burrito and it's the wrong burrito. So I'm disappointed because now I have to go back and wait all over again which took long because it was a busy Sunday morning. I call the lady back so that it can be ready when I get there. At this point I'm still nice because it wasn't her fault at all. After I told her I got the wrong burrito, she sighed from annoyance and was like, "It was a carne asada burrito huh?" So she already knew. She says, "Hold on let me see if I can get them to make you a new one." Puts me on hold, comes back and asks, "Are you going to be able to come back for it?" So I said, "Well I kinda have no choice now since I don't want this one." And she goes, "It's a yes or no question, so which is it?" with so much attitude. I asked her to refund the whole thing bc of her rudeness. No sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. Then as one final act she made me come back for my refund even though she didn't physically need my card or anything. Also it's in a difficult parking lot bc it's right next to the freeway. If you get lucky you get out, but if not you're forced to get on the freeway which I had to do. So after her rudeness, I went to El Gallo Giro up the street with a drive thru and they're polite. I was a frequent customer of this place for YEARS. Over 5-6 years. I went there last night at almost closing & ordered something I usually order. The taco plate (3 tacos with rice & beans) my steak was SO DRY I only ate one taco & a couple of spoons of the rice & beans. So I saved the food & took it back to them, wanting my meal replaced cause it was not the way it used to be. They only wanted to replace the tacos & got upset when I wanted more rice & beans. Mind you I brought the combo to EAT it altogether. The cashier told me she would give me my money back & to never return. If that is how they would treat someone who spent hundreds of dollars at their establishment I WOULD NOT want to be a consumer here. I made the drive out the other day (after 3 years of not visiting) only to be let down. What was once a $5 burrito is now an $8 burrito and the worst part is that they downsized them. How can a small family / humbled business do that to its once loyal customers. Downsize the burrito and up the price.. disappointing to say the least. I get the economy has changed, but that's a ridiculous price for a 4 /5 inch burrito in Bellflower (No offense) **** If you visit, check our their menu on the wall, all dishes are ultra expensive. Bear in mind this location is tiny not to mention it's a hidden taco space from the outside, it's practically an unnoticed hole in the wall. I've stopped in a few times and ordered delivery from here and the food never disappoints. Fair prices and full plates. They have some of the more flavorful chicken dorado tacos in the area and the carne asada burrito loco is always a go to for me. The only thing on the menu I wouldn't recommend is the carnitas, they're pretty dry and lack flavor. If you love salsa like me I'd highly recommend going in and avoiding delivery.. they aren't particularly generous with salsa and any extra are an upcharge, which is fine, but online there is no option to add more to your order and you will not be able to get any more than the 2-3 they give you for free. read more
