My husband has been telling about this place , and since is taco Tuesday we decided to go, as soon we got there we place our order , what I love about this place is that the volume of the music is low, the place is super clean and what I love is that your tacos came with real guacamole , then on the side the bar with lemons salsa lemons radish cucumbers even onions with habanero , all this reminds me las taquerias from my hometown Mexicali , and what is even better is that the tortillas are hand made at the moment you order your tacos The staff was really friendly and helpful, for sure we are coming back read more

Tacos El Viejon... you have FAILED me today! I got my tacos today and I don't know what happened, but the steak was SO stringy it honestly felt like I was eating carnitas. I literally stopped going to another taco spot off Hatch for this exact reason--the meat was so chopped up and stringy it felt like somebody chewed it up and spit it back into the taco. And unfortunately, that's exactly what these tacos reminded me of today. I'm so upset and disappointed because I drove ALL this way just for me AND my belly to leave unsatisfied. I didn't even eat my food! I will say, the service was great. The gentleman helping me was very nice, and the restaurant was clean, so absolutely no complaints there. But the FOOD?! Went on a Tuesday to try their $2 taco special. It was so delicious & with a nice big scoop of guacamole. Their homemade corn tortillas melt in your mouth. I got my food quickly and the restaurant was very clean. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area. Can't wait to come back on Torta Thursday for their 2 for $20 tortas! lol Good affordable food. Can't beat it. read more

Have tried this business when they first started out in a ranch in the boonies. Saw it opened up close to my moms house so decided to stop by for some tortas. OK look I grew up with Mexican food. My whole family cooks it homemade fresh tortillas so I get it. I may be picky even though I probably look like the lightest skin color Mexican around. I was so excited to try this place. It's right by my work where I get gas so I walked in today. It was cold. I figured I'll try a couple of El Pastore tacos and hope that I found a good Mexican place just down the street so I don't have to drive that far. The service the girl was really nice very friendly took my order asked if I wanted everything on it. Yeah sure because in my world overly usually means salsa, onion, cilantro, guacamole, and cool so I'm waiting excited cause they're supposed to be handmade tortillas. You can tell their handmade I'll give them that presentation wise. My guacamole looks a little bit older. It's not that vibrant green, but I was excited for the meat cause I can always take off the guacamole so I take a bite. There's no flavor like did someone not get the memo to flavor the meat they have that nice juicy pineapple taste to taste that chili that just hits your mouth where that sweet but that spicy where you want to go in for that next bite. I'm looking at these right now thinking how am I gonna finish these and how am I so disappointed in a taco that you would hope would have that feel especially with a nice handmade tortilla but even the tortillas not good I won't be back. This tacos are GOOD. Fresh handmade tortillas as you order. They don't have green salsa but they use fresh guacamole that tastes delicious 100/10. Customer service is always great. Definitely more on the price side but you get what you pay for. I haven't gone to a food truck and not paid at least $3 for a nasty taco read more

I was kinda let down by these tacos. I had heard great things, but they didn't live up to the hype. The fresh tortillas and smoky meat were nice, but the salsa had no flavor or spice at all. Plus, the tortillas kept falling apart, so it ended up more like a taco bowl. Would've been better with a variety of salsas, thicker or double tortillas, and maybe salsa on the side. I went to this spot due to it getting a buzz on social media, I went In during lunch hour around 11-12 . I was expecting a long wait but to my suprise it was empty , that shouldve benn one of many red flags there. I went to order and i got 1 taco de carne asada that they pride themsleves in with Tortillas Made by hand and 1 Torta de pollo , With an agua fresca de horchata , I Paid 23$ which was expensive but i thought well if its that expensive they should be good right , well was i wrong, The first thing i recieved was my torta de pollo , The top bun was all burnt which excludes any of the others flavors since the primary taste you get is the burnt bun on top , The taco was pretty big but the corn tortilla that is handmade was cooked on the outside but it was raw in the inside , The Carne Asada had the same problem as the bun it tasted like it was burnt almost like they let a dog chew the meat then spat it out on the stovetop to cook it. The only postive thing was that their agua fresca was good but other than that i was let down. The Cherry on top of this is that i got food posiong . So if u ask me this is a great place to bring ur enemy or ur ex . read more

Customer service at this establishment needs major improvement. My husband and I ordered, did not receive an order number, was not asked for a name and in the end our food was given to another group.
