I literally stopped going to another taco spot off Hatch for this exact reason--the meat was so chopped up and stringy it felt like somebody chewed it up and spit it back into the taco. And unfortunately, that's exactly what these tacos reminded me of today. I'm so upset and disappointed because I drove ALL this way just for me AND my belly to leave unsatisfied. The tripa was pungent yet crispy. The fries had the same texture as the ones used in the nacho fries. Before our food came, in-house diners receive a basket of tortilla chips and salsa and their version of 'curtido' (pickly cabbage slaw). I especially liked the freshness and crunch! Service was good. The dude was super nice, although I think he missed my order of a horchata as it never made it out. The young lady that took my order was very helpful. They have a nice area to sit down and eat even those it's inside a chevron station. I ordered a carne Asada burrito and a carne asada torta. Both were delicious. Most bread used for a torta is soggy in about 10 seconds. The bread they used was tasty and never got soggy. Now I have to bring my daughter back so she can eat one fresh. I gave 5 stars because of the service and the quality and flavor of the most excellent food.
