    Nachos!!

Didn't have the greatest experience here recently. Chips in nachos were stale, which was unappetizing. Would have rather them say they were out of chips. Torts was good though.

I drive all the way from Sacramento just for their asada and shrimp tacos, and they are absolutely worth the trip. Everything is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Hands down the best tacos I have ever had. 10 out of 10 every time. Even when I am completely full, I somehow still end up ordering one more for the drive home.

FOOD POISONING!! I got food poisoning eating tacos here Monday October 20! Beware! Chicken tacos were awful! Chicken looked and tasted weird. Almost like it came from a can, not shredded. Also I bit into a small bone or gristle on carne asada tacos. Birria was ok. I do NOT recommend this establishment. Expensive tacos and not good!

    Carne asada taco

I order carne asada tacos and a quesadilla, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The meat was extremely pale and looked nothing like grilled carne asada. Most of it was fat with barely any actual meat, and the texture was off. Carne asada is usually browned and flavorful, but this did not seem like that at all. I would not order this again.

Shrimp taco - only 3 shrimp! For a $3 taco!

Used to be my favorite place for shrimp tacos. About 6 months ago idk if it was an owner change or staffing/ cook change but it's gone downhill. I've tried eating here several times over the last few months and unfortunately this will be my last time eating here. They changed how they make the tacos and today I got 3 small shrimp on a $3 taco! I'd have to say go somewhere else which is unfortunate.

Fonzis never disappoints! I usually call in my orders so I can pick up and get home to eat! These carne asada fries were bomb! They use two types of cheese, the fries I get them extra crispy, EXTRA jalapeños, and it's always so fresh! Don't forget your horchata!! This place is located in grub hub! This is my favorite taco truck!!!!

Not my first time to this area but my first to Fonzi's. Went with the keto chicken tacos and the Al Pastor tacos. Both were really good. By far the busiest truck at Grub Hub. I would definitely go back. I'd like to try a burrito next time. If you are in downtown Modesto give it a try. Parking inside by the trucks is nice with bathrooms onsite.

Been wanting to try this food truck for a while! First of all, $2.00 tacos, an almost unheard pricing everyday of the week! Double tortillas with plenty of carnitas! Fresh cilantro and onions, paired with pickled jalapeños. Solid tacos. #spicemeister approved!

Great Keto food. In particular the shrimp keto tacos were bomb. And $3.50 for a keto taco is not bad at all.

One afternoon in Hayward, my family and I showed up right at 6 PM, exactly at closing time. We had just left a family party but purposely held our appetite because our favorite Puerto Rican food truck was finally back in town. My wife and I were married in Old San Juan, and Puerto Rico will always hold a special place in our hearts. We even travel back to the island with our kids whenever we can. When Chef Darren saw how disappointed we were that we had missed them, he didn't turn us away. Even though they were already closed, he fired the grill back up and blessed our family with an incredible meal. That level of hospitality, heart, and genuine Puerto Rican warmth is rare. The food was absolutely amazing as always, authentic flavors that instantly take us back to the island, but the kindness and service meant even more to us. We'll always support Boriqua Kitchen. Truly the best Puerto Rican food in the Bay Area, served by people who treat you like family.

Fremont Street Eats is a lively outdoor community event organized by the city's Chamber of…read moreCommerce. It is located off a newly renovated street where new high rise development were put in to increase dwelling density and foot traffic. It is not quite there yet, but I can see where this is going. It is held in this square near a business park so there is plenty of parking. There is a grassy square where families like to lounge with picnic blankets and lawn chairs. There's usually a dj dishing out tunes, a beer and wine tent, and about 8-10 food trucks lined up in an organized fashion. It goes every Friday in the warm months so from May to October. If a holiday pops up on a Friday like 4th of July they will skip it. Starts at 5pm and goes to about 9pm. Bulk of the crowd goes from 6:30 - 8. I go to about 2-4 per year since 2017, with the exception of 2020 cuz y'all know why. You can see the food truck line up each week on their website or socials. So I like to scan that and if it looks promising then I'll text some friends/family if anyone wants to meet up after work on Friday. If the weather is nice, it is just a just a festive and social way to start a summer's weekend. Now even tho I like these events I don't always like food truck food. Sure it is trendy and you do get to sample and /or get stuff brought to you in one area. But I often just find many of the food to be just average at best at prices that rival sit down dining. So to me I like scoping these out occasionally but I don't think they are worth going to on a frequent basis. I also feel that there aren't enough places to sit and eat once you get your food from a truck. There is a small area where they put out portable picnic benches, but those fill up with just 20 people or so. Otherwise you have to sit on the lawn and come prepared with blanket or lawn chair, or find a concrete planter box to sit on, or go back to your car to eat. Another reason why food trucks events often leave me hanging. But bring a warm typical Bay Area summer's evening where it doesn't get dark til almost 9pm and you want to be amongst your community and commerce, this event will do you more than fine.

There was even some line dancing going on in the makeshift stage area at some point. Sound was not the greatest, the volume quite low even for a small event, but it was fine. There were about 8 food trucks to choose from, along with a few random vendor/service tents (like Bass Pro Shops). Decided on sliders and garlic fries from the Curveball food truck. The food was okay, good enough to satisfy my hunger (see my separate review on that). I snagged one of the few spots in the grass with shade on this hot evening, though they also have tables and seating here, partially shaded too. An actual restroom (not porta potties) on site, in the Fremont downtown event center building. Also, plenty of space available in the parking lot. This is a pretty low-key community event, free to attend and grab a bite to eat, and just hang out for an hour or two.

Rebecca was running the truck with her husband, and they were warm, friendly, and hard-working. That same care reflected in the food. Comforting flavors, big portions, and just what we needed. ---- Food ---- The hot dogs here are big, delicious, and fantastic value for the price. Wushu Dog: Loved this one. Inventive and delicious. Great texture, topped with pork sung and crispy cabbage, plus katsu sauce and Japanese mayo. Savory, crunchy, and satisfying. Sumo Dog: Japanese curry beef chili with cheese and fresh scallions. Hearty, comforting, and perfect for that chilly evening. Fried Foods: We didn't try, any but they serve fries and potstickers too. The fries seemed to be a crowd favorite at Great Notion Brewery next door (which is partnered with Dojo Dog). Definitely getting them next time.
