    Barbacoa beef quesotaco
    Arleen A.

I've had Quesobirria from all over SoCal and Tijuana and Chico's is up there in the ranks!!! The Birria (Goat) and Barbacoa (Shredded beef) were both amazing!!! I can't tell the two meats apart since they're both simmered and slow cooked the same. The consome Birria dipping soup was delicious and not spicy. The chicken flautas was crispy and had a good amount of lettuce and cheese. Flavor 10/10 Crispy 8/10 Red color 10/10 Juicy tender meat 10/10 Highly recommended

"Carne asada torta" more like CABBAGE torta.

I ordered a carne asada torta and it has a tiny bit of carne asada and full of cabbage. It was also cold! So disappointed because I had high hopes for this place. Also the young guy working there at night is very rude!

I have been a good food critic for over 10 years. I am only criticizing the FOOD. I ordered their special QUESATACOS made out of birria. It was a little bland, it needed more spice! My tortillas were really dried up and you can tell in the picture that it wasn't completely dipped in the birria stew. I was disappointed with that because I have heard a lot of great things about their birria quesatacos. I give them a 1 star. I also ordered two TRIPA tacos and I specifically asked the gentleman who took my order, that I wanted them extra fried, in the photo you can see how mushy it looks. The taste was also bland! I give them also a 1 star. The asada tacos were over salted, I couldn't even taste the meat, only the salt. I would suggest, taking a little more time to make the food. Taste the food as it cooks(birria) for flavor. Listening to the customers requests when you work in food is probably the second important thing. The customer service was good, no one was rude to me. Overall, I was really hyped to try this place. Unfortunately I was dissatisfied, and it will be a long time before I try this place again. I like to give it a few months before going back to see if the owners fix the issues.

In my opinion best tacos in the area

In my opinion the best tacos around. As for other reviews. Well first lets make one thing clear. It is a mobile food truck that parks at same reserved location. I can't recall when the last time I had any set expectations from a food truck. Are they pricier? Yes. But you can tell the difference from the $1.00-$1.25 tacos. Meat is well flavored and tacos are not dry. Even in food the saying "you get what you pay for" applies. I personally think all those cheaper taco places taste the same. Like if they all use same seasonings and all get the same salsa. Plain and simple, the food they serve is very good. You can eat at the benches in a covered area and enjoy the view and maybe the occasional fly or mosquito. Or you can take it home. But in the end remember. It is a taco/food truck Update - Still the place to go. Tried a few down road as I usually get off work too late to make it here. Was not impressed at all with the other places. Had a chance to eat with owners. They real down to earth people. Just trying to make a living like the rest of us. For those that mention the rude cashier. (The owner) I am sure it would be very difficult to smile ear to ear working inside that hot food truck alongside the the employees. As I told the owners. I come for the food. Not the service. Especially from a food truck. Smile or no smile. Rude or not. Just keep making the food taste good and I will keep coming back.

Worth it! Walked into a very quiet, but colorful restaurant with only one other patron inside. The employees were so nice. We were told to pick anywhere, we were brought menus and instantly asked if we'd like anything to drink or if we wanted to look at the menu first... We asked for suggestions and the waitress offered the types of drinks they have. She brought us chips and salsa. The chips were homemade with a perfect crunch. The salsa was fresh, chunky and not spicy. The pepino cone limo aqua Fresca was the best aqua Fresca I've EVER had. Not too sweet at all and was SO REFRESHING. We also ordered an horchata and I was told that was just as good. The food... Where to start. We ordered an empanada and some quedabirria tacos. The empanada was HUGE, deliciously filling with fresh ingredients. It had great flavor. The quesabirria tacos were probably the best we've had. You order the amount you want. They are 5.99 each and oh so delicious. The meat tasted SO FRESH and flavorful. The creamy jalapeño salsa had a NICE kick to it. All meals come with radish and pickled onions as garnish, but eating them with the meal made it even more refreshing and delicious. They need more than one location, but until then we will be back! (Luckily, I heard they do catering.)

The food is…read moreconsistently good, the drinks are solid, and they easily have the best chips and salsa around. Service is always friendly and reliable, which keeps me coming back. My only real recommendation is to avoid sitting in the bar area if you're in a hurry. Service there tends to move a lot slower, so it can take a while to get your order in and get your food. The restaurant itself is a little run down, and the bathrooms could definitely use some attention, but the bar and outside area is decorated nicely and has a good atmosphere overall. All in all, it's a great local spot and one I keep going back to.

Instead of trying to resolve the situation or make it right, the manager, Noah, became argumentative and tried to debate what had been said rather than listen to the customer. After waiting that long, the last thing anyone expects is to feel like they have to argue just to be heard. What made it more disappointing was the lack of willingness to fix the issue or offer a solution. We came in hoping for a good meal and left feeling frustrated and unheard. It's sad because good service could have easily turned this into a positive experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. At the end of it he realized and came back and finally apologized.

The complimentary chips along with their salsa and beans paired amazingly well. I proceeded to get the choose three build your own combo with a beef taquito(pictured), green chicken enchilada, and a chicken burrito. The beef taquito was first of all huge, the biggest one that I have ever seen. It came with plenty of toppings including guacamole, sour cream, cheese, cabbage, and tomatoes. The burrito was decent, definetely could have used at least some more salsa, ended up being a filler on my plate. I saved the best for last, the classic enchilada was smothered in a delicious salsa that I dipped my other two items into. If you want to try out different things and get a good amount of food for your money, you can't go wrong with the build your own combo, especially from this establishment. Apart from the food, the service exceeded my expectations and it is perfect for your next casual dining experience.

I asked for grilled chicken and got stewed chicken with absolutely zero flavor. They said it came with guacamole and sour cream--neither were anywhere to be found. The "salad" was basically lettuce, pico, and whole beans with a super tiny portion overall. I added bell peppers and onions, maybe five pieces total, and they hit me with a $6 upcharge. Would've been nice to know that before so I could've said no thanks. Final price for this subpar salad? $25. I actually had to go back just to show them. The bar manager, Hamad (spelling), tried to help by adding more chicken and then told me the sour cream and guac were "under the shell." Really? Who hides condiments under the shell? Total waste of time and money. I'm done. No more chances.
