Food is good. Birria is hit and miss, consume is good some days and some days not. Which is strange for being "birria " known spot. However they are so stingy, ordered 7 burritos and they gave me 2 salsas for 7 burritos... asked for some and they told me "I already gave you two" who eats burritos without salsa? Let me start by saying that this birria for people who have never had good birria. My wife and I got a super burrito and quesabirria tacos and let me tell you flavor is not on the menu. Not to mention the tacos were dry. Not sure how you dry out a quesabirria taco, but they did. Their "consume" was no different than watered down, canned enchilada sauce. My burrito was lack luster at best. Barely any flavor and I'm not sure how you get all stems of cilantro, but they managed. Maybe this place was just having an off day, but I will not be back. Came here for the first time last week. We went to el paisa first where most people there were going to and waited a really long time for our food. Decided we were still hungry and went to Birrieria Sanchez. The tacos and horchata were so much better here! The tacos were not too greasy and the horchata was so good! Not the powdered kind. I placed an order online and it wasn't made correctly. What's worse is, I ordered one taco of arrachera and the meat was bad. Right when I took foil off I could smell it. My husband does not have a good noise so kept telling me I was tripping so I gladly gave taco to him. He took a bite and spit it out so fast saying meat was rotten. Had some queso birria, flavor was good but a bit on the small side about 3 bites worth have ordered queso birria from about a dozen different places never been charged extra for the broth consome. Had to pay an extra 2 dollars for a small broth usually has small bites of meat mine did have any meat just broth. Like to support new local businesses but somewhat disappointed. Today was my second time trying out this local spot. I always try to give fair chances whenever something new opens up, especially in a small town with very few options to pick from. The first time was about 4 months ago, I saw they had pozole on their menu and thought PERFECT for the cold winter weather. Sad to say the broth was flavorless reminded me of red sauce, no spices no flavors, just grains and meat with a lot of the fat on it. Today we decided to give the place another try, this time trying the 3 quesabirria tacos, with consome and an agua de horchata. Again, the lack of flavor in the watered down consome, very little meat in the tacos with again tons of fatty chunks and for someone who is a texture person it truly grossed me out I didn't finish my food. The agua de horchata was a huge disappointment too, for starters it was super dark and that was a giveaway before I even took a sip that it wasn't going to be flavorful either, and they dumped a ton of cinnamon or whatever the brown powder was on top. I believe there is an immense opportunity for improvement on quality and flavor. I hope they take their customers reviews as constructive because there truly is room for everyone to grow their small Business, given the owners take advantage to grow from the feedback of these reviews. read more
