The sauce on the rellanos was just ok . More tomato based than chili based . Again added the house salsa and it was much better . Chips and salsa were great and the warm beans on the side was a bonus . I had a skinny margarita and it was perfect and strong . I'd give this place a 7 out of 10 . Decent . Pretty good flavor. Basic Mexican food. I ate at the Dale Rd Las Casuelas location with a group of 5 on a Sunday evening. When we arrived, there was no wait and many empty tables. It is a pretty standard local Mexican joint. It is very casual and family friendly. There is a small bar separate from the main dining room. There is also a large back room that can be reserved for special events. The decor was nice and the music was fine. We were provided chips, salsa, and beans. I was not a fan of these. The chips were dense and the beans were flavorless. The salsa was alright. It was pretty hot but wasn't utilized much because the chips weren't great. For my main dish, I ordered the Supreme Quesadilla with beef. It came with a side of beans and rice. I liked that the beans had cheese but I wasn't impressed with either side. The rice felt a little bit undercooked to me. The quesadilla itself was pretty good. It was very cheesy and had a lot of beef. I appreciate the large dollops of guacamole and sour cream. The service was disappointing. It took an extremely long time for the waiter to come and take our order. We were sitting there ready to order for probably 20 minutes or longer. Once we received the food, we did not see our waiter again. We were in desperate need of a water refill but the waiter never came by. To me, the service felt very slow and unenthusiastic. read more

Gave them one more shot for a taco salad... and they blew it again. You'd think a taco salad would be a simple win, but nope. I asked for grilled chicken and got stewed chicken with absolutely zero flavor. They said it came with guacamole and sour cream--neither were anywhere to be found. The "salad" was basically lettuce, pico, and whole beans with a super tiny portion overall. I added bell peppers and onions, maybe five pieces total, and they hit me with a $6 upcharge. Would've been nice to know that before so I could've said no thanks. Final price for this subpar salad? $25. I actually had to go back just to show them. The bar manager, Hamad (spelling), tried to help by adding more chicken and then told me the sour cream and guac were "under the shell." Really? Who hides condiments under the shell? Went today . Ordered a super burrito I cut it down the middle and a bone was in it . Chimichangas was not even fried was more like a burrito . When letting the waitress know about the bone she took the plate back . Never apologized . I ordered a cheese enchilada . Once receiving the bill we had 3 meals on there in which another appeared stating they remove the meal with the bone . Which wasn't true they removed 10 dollars and charged 6 for enchilada . The bartender then comes to our table and states it happens that bones are on the chicken burrito ‍ I said no she void have chocked on it he said nothing . The waitress said what you want free food ! Very insulting considering they left bones in the food . They never apologized and have horrible customer service as they are arguing in front of customers in their restaurant! The bartender was upset went removed enchilada. One .. came back now the bill was more from original total ! The previous waitress failed to add our drinks Pepsi .. now he the bartender wants to add the drinks since he removed the food that was incorrect ! This place as truely changed since new ownership ! Great traditional Mexican food. This place never disappoints. I started with the whiskey smash, which was a refreshing variation of almost a margarita. The complimentary chips along with their salsa and beans paired amazingly well. I proceeded to get the choose three build your own combo with a beef taquito(pictured), green chicken enchilada, and a chicken burrito. The beef taquito was first of all huge, the biggest one that I have ever seen. It came with plenty of toppings including guacamole, sour cream, cheese, cabbage, and tomatoes. The burrito was decent, definetely could have used at least some more salsa, ended up being a filler on my plate. I saved the best for last, the classic enchilada was smothered in a delicious salsa that I dipped my other two items into. If you want to try out different things and get a good amount of food for your money, you can't go wrong with the build your own combo, especially from this establishment. Definitely not going back. When we got there it looked like someone had broken open a trash bag in front of the front door and not picked it up. We are still debating on whether the service or food was worse. The servers seemed to be inconvenienced. Took a long time to take our order like at least 20 minutes and it wasn't busy. All of the food ordered came out cold except the fajitas were hot. It was mostly green bell peppers. Sent back one dish because the person was afraid of getting food poisoning. Second one they brought was also lukewarm. We were never offered refills on drinks, we had to chase someone down. We paid cash and the waiter never brought back change. The restaurant is easy to locate and there is plenty of safe, free and well lit parking. Came here during the weekend for some dinner. Parking lot was empty. We sat in the bar. Not really packed or anything but they had a few tables that were watching the sports game that was on. Seating in the bar was standard with high tops. Not sure what his name is but he's worked there for years behind the bar. Great customer service but man was he busy. He was the only worker on the bar side taking orders, making drinks, checking up on tables, etc. Him alone I give a 10/10. But unfortunately because he was pretty busy, it did take a while to get our actual food orders in (he took our drinks orders soon after we got there). When we needed a refill, he was too busy to notice us which i commend him for his great customer service and efforts. However a couple of times we had to walk over to the bar to make a request. The food was good. It usually is although I always get the carne con Chile and the sauce was a little off this time, but still good. Overall, the service was amazing, prices were fair. About 5 minutes after we already had our drinks we tell him we're ready to order, since they failed to acknowledge it or ask. He says he'll let our server know. After about 15 minutes of waiting we decide to pay for our drinks since our server still hadn't come to take our order. By this time it was about 8:10 with our order still not being placed. At no point did we get an apology from the server for taking so long. Paid $8 for two sodas we didn't finish due to the lack of care from this place. Keep in mind there were only 3 other tables with smaller groups, so they were not busy. Don't really ever leave reviews whether good or bad but man I highly do not recommend coming here. We haven't been to this place in years and now I remember why. It was raining so soup sounded great, I ordered albondigas and my husband ordered a milanesa torta. He ordered a negro modelo ( it was forgotten) and I ordered an Horchata and water with lemon. I sent the horchata back, it was so disgusting. The water tasted like they pulled it out of the drain. I then sent it back for a Pepsi and even that tasted like some kind of chemical. I had my husband try them to make sure it wasn't just me. It wasn't. So... Let's dig into my meal first, I have never in my life ever had such a dry meatball especially in soup! I didn't even know that was possible. It had zero flavor. I ate one out of the three that were in there, I maybe got two carrots, a few zucchini and two potatoes as well. I left it all there. On to my husband's meal. I've never seen him leave food in all our years. He said the meat had no flavor and it all tasted like cardboard. To say this place was disappointing is a huge understatement. We will definitely not be returning. Service was ehh, the man who took our order seemed rushed. $75 down the drain and my husband still being kind left a great tip. Crappy service and crappy food. I visited Las Casuelas on June 28, 2024, around 8:30 - 9 PM, craving something spicy. I decided to order the camarones a la diabla and aguachiles. The young woman at the front desk was super friendly and seemed to be in training. She had some questions about the computer and how to input the food order, and a nosy bartender walked over to "help" her but was actually quite rude. It made me very uncomfortable. When I asked the bartender if they could make my two items very spicy, he responded rudely, "The aguachiles are already premade, so no, we cannot. The camarones a la diabla we can make a little spicy." His tone was unfriendly and not accommodating to customers at all. I ended up paying $43 for my two items, but I wish I hadn't bought anything at all. When I began eating my food, I was very disappointed. The aguachiles were a sad excuse for aguachiles, with very little shrimp, and the vegetables and jalapeños were cut awkwardly. The camarones a la diabla were also not appetizing--way too salty and not spicy at all. I can't say enough about the service here. The staff is very attentive. Miguel, Noey, Omar, Dylan are all providing top quality dining experience. Great recommendations, positive attitudes, execution of drinks couldn't be better . These guys are all constantly moving and observing customers. The food has been excellent. Recommend the tacos Al pastor as well as the asada. Friendly regulars. Clean restaurant, clean bathrooms. This is my go to Mexican restaurant .
