We wanted to try a couple different things. We liked it all, meat was good. Food was warm.

Happy people preparing to get some pretty good food.

The burrito was really good. I really appreciate having a birria option. The staff was friendly. The food was cooked in a reasonably short time. I guess the guy serving the food saw that I was standing for the national anthem and refused to move even though we kept calling my number and gave me two free drinks, which was very cool. The only complaint I have is that the rice was too greasy for my taste.

Didn't have the greatest experience here recently. Chips in nachos were stale, which was unappetizing. Would have rather them say they were out of chips. Torts was good though.

I drive all the way from Sacramento just for their asada and shrimp tacos, and they are absolutely worth the trip. Everything is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Hands down the best tacos I have ever had. 10 out of 10 every time. Even when I am completely full, I somehow still end up ordering one more for the drive home.

FOOD POISONING!! I got food poisoning eating tacos here Monday October 20! Beware! Chicken tacos were awful! Chicken looked and tasted weird. Almost like it came from a can, not shredded. Also I bit into a small bone or gristle on carne asada tacos. Birria was ok. I do NOT recommend this establishment. Expensive tacos and not good!

    Carne asada taco

I order carne asada tacos and a quesadilla, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The meat was extremely pale and looked nothing like grilled carne asada. Most of it was fat with barely any actual meat, and the texture was off. Carne asada is usually browned and flavorful, but this did not seem like that at all. I would not order this again.

Shrimp taco - only 3 shrimp! For a $3 taco!

Used to be my favorite place for shrimp tacos. About 6 months ago idk if it was an owner change or staffing/ cook change but it's gone downhill. I've tried eating here several times over the last few months and unfortunately this will be my last time eating here. They changed how they make the tacos and today I got 3 small shrimp on a $3 taco! I'd have to say go somewhere else which is unfortunate.

Fonzis never disappoints! I usually call in my orders so I can pick up and get home to eat! These carne asada fries were bomb! They use two types of cheese, the fries I get them extra crispy, EXTRA jalapeños, and it's always so fresh! Don't forget your horchata!! This place is located in grub hub! This is my favorite taco truck!!!!

Not my first time to this area but my first to Fonzi's. Went with the keto chicken tacos and the Al Pastor tacos. Both were really good. By far the busiest truck at Grub Hub. I would definitely go back. I'd like to try a burrito next time. If you are in downtown Modesto give it a try. Parking inside by the trucks is nice with bathrooms onsite.

Been wanting to try this food truck for a while! First of all, $2.00 tacos, an almost unheard pricing everyday of the week! Double tortillas with plenty of carnitas! Fresh cilantro and onions, paired with pickled jalapeños. Solid tacos. #spicemeister approved!

I had tried the burrito and quesadilla and both were good. Good service also don't take to long. I think it's good food.

Had a shrimp keto taco and birria torta. The sauce on the taco was good. Taco & torta were nothing special. I wouldn't recommend or return.

Do you guys wear gloves to cook n serve the people? Also do u touch the money that's given to u and touch food afterwards? Where do you use the restroom at? Sorry for being so upfront..I just stop going to these trucks for all those reasons.

There is always two team member at the traile and the one that handles money does not handle food , we use the restrooms at the church where we park REDEEMER and if there was a need to help the cook we wash our hands in our hand washing station…

Worth it! Walked into a very quiet, but colorful restaurant with only one other patron inside. The employees were so nice. We were told to pick anywhere, we were brought menus and instantly asked if we'd like anything to drink or if we wanted to look at the menu first... We asked for suggestions and the waitress offered the types of drinks they have. She brought us chips and salsa. The chips were homemade with a perfect crunch. The salsa was fresh, chunky and not spicy. The pepino cone limo aqua Fresca was the best aqua Fresca I've EVER had. Not too sweet at all and was SO REFRESHING. We also ordered an horchata and I was told that was just as good. The food... Where to start. We ordered an empanada and some quedabirria tacos. The empanada was HUGE, deliciously filling with fresh ingredients. It had great flavor. The quesabirria tacos were probably the best we've had. You order the amount you want. They are 5.99 each and oh so delicious. The meat tasted SO FRESH and flavorful. The creamy jalapeño salsa had a NICE kick to it. All meals come with radish and pickled onions as garnish, but eating them with the meal made it even more refreshing and delicious. They need more than one location, but until then we will be back! (Luckily, I heard they do catering.)

She did a good job explaining anything that may be different from other restaurants, and knows the menu so well. The food was so good. The table was completely silent inhaling the food as it was brought out. Our food was brought down less than 5 minutes after sitting down, and it was hot and fresh. The guacamole is delicious and their chips are really good too. Definitely some of the best mexican food i've found around here recently. The dining area is kind of small, but it wasn't too crowded and felt very homey. We got the crispy tacos plate (asada) and the taco salad (asada). The beans and rice are so amazing, and don't be afraid to ask for a slight change to the item! She was SO accommodating and made extra sure that what we asked for was done. The chicken taco was good but a little on the dryer side . We added the house salsa and that made it better . The chilli relay is were huge . Lots of batter . It was fluffy . Chips and salsa were great and the warm beans on the side was a bonus . I had a skinny margarita and it was perfect and strong . I'd give this place a 7 out of 10 . Decent . Pretty good flavor. Basic Mexican food…read more I ate at the Dale Rd Las Casuelas location with a group of 5 on a Sunday evening. When we arrived, there was no wait and many empty tables. It is a pretty standard local Mexican joint. It is very casual and family friendly. There is a small bar separate from the main dining room. There is also a large back room that can be reserved for special events. The decor was nice and the music was fine. We were provided chips, salsa, and beans. I was not a fan of these. The chips were dense and the beans were flavorless. The salsa was alright. It was pretty hot but wasn't utilized much because the chips weren't great. For my main dish, I ordered the Supreme Quesadilla with beef. It came with a side of beans and rice. I liked that the beans had cheese but I wasn't impressed with either side. The rice felt a little bit undercooked to me. The quesadilla itself was pretty good. It was very cheesy and had a lot of beef. I appreciate the large dollops of guacamole and sour cream. The service was disappointing. It took an extremely long time for the waiter to come and take our order. We were sitting there ready to order for probably 20 minutes or longer. Once we received the food, we did not see our waiter again. We were in desperate need of a water refill but the waiter never came by. To me, the service felt very slow and unenthusiastic.
