Tried the steak and al pastor tacos. Both are super solid choices. The meat is juicy (not dried out like other places), it's a big taco, and it's a good price! The sauce helps to bring everything together too. I'd have this any day over some of the chain places.

Wow, I've been walking by this cart frequently and am so glad I stopped to try their burrito. No wonder there's always a line. The chorizo burrito was so good, warm and filling! I would definitely come by to try the other options on the menu.

    Beef

Although their beef burrito is delicious, the guy who works there tried to overcharge me until I caught him. When I asked him how much I owed him, He reluctantly said $15. The price is on the truck ($12 for chicken and and add $1 more for beef) and you cannot simply add two dollars. If he didn't, I am more than happy to tip him!

Tacos are plenty big, great bang for the buck! Had the chicken tinga, carnitas and al pastor. Meat was flavorful and tasty, if you want an extra umph ask for salsa with it too (it's spicy and delicious). Definitely going to explore beyond the tacos.

Great little food truck serving up tasty authentic Mexican food from cholula area. I really enjoyed the Cemita which had authentic quesillo (from oaxaca) and a perfectly fried milanesa. There are a lot of good options here all at reasonable price points. I believe it is cash only.

There has been no bigger pleasure in my life then to writing this review. You may walk past this truck like it's any weird street meat in NYC, but god you would be an idiot to do that. I have been eating burritos my entire life and I still can't believe this place. The first time I went I was drunk. I had the steak burrito and was amazed. I woke up and thought "huh that was a delicious drunk burrito." The next week I went sober after soccer. It was even better. The 2 people working the cart have friendly eyes, but don't let that fool you they can make a spicy burrito. Beware of the hot if you are spice intolerant. Seriously, go to this place. They deserve a restaurant! This is my friend Tyler enjoying his first burrito - boy was he happy!

I've gone to this spot a decent amount of times pre and post covid and well, it doesn't disappoint. (Although, it does taste better the later and less sober you are). Okay, don't get me wrong, It's not anywhere close to California Burritos, but it's good for NY standards. I go here once in awhile to grab a quick burrito and it does the trick in filling me up! If you are looking for a decent burrito, then come on through to try this spot out.

I knew the tacos here would be amazing once I walked up to the tiny cart plastered with menus of all kinds of cheap Mexican food, and manned by two no-nonsense Mexican guys. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the tacos were just $2.50 each, since I've been getting used to these silly small plates restaurants charging $10 or more for a few tacos. I was even more pleased once I had a Steak Taco and a Chicken Taco here and discovered that these are some of the best, cheapest, most authentic tacos I've tried in NY (so far second only to Los Tacos No. 1 maybe). This cart is just great. You should definitely come try it, especially if you whine about how there is no good Mexican food in NY. I definitely want to come back ASAP to try some of the amazing-looking Tortas and Cemitas.

Definitely check this Mexican street food cart out whenever you're in the area drunk or sober. They offer a variety of burritos, tacos and Mexican sodas here all for under $10. The people that run this cart are genuinely nice folks and their love for Mexican food is apparently in the food that they offer. They're actual Mexicans, so that how you know this cart is the real deal! The burritos and tacos are all amazing and prepared right in front of you. The location of the cart is smack-dab in the middle of Alphabet City, right in the vicinity of nearby bars, so there's no need to trek out to Queens to get your authentic Mexican food fix. Personally, I've only had the chip and guacamole and it was a delicious appetizer. Only complaint I had was that there were too many chips with a small container of guacamole haha. I will definitely be back in the near future whenever I'm craving Mexican food in the area.

So good! So quick! Made with so much love! I know, I know...cart food? Yes, delicious cart tacos. You really can't go wrong with whatever you order. It'll be hot, made fresh to order and you won't be disappointed. Yum!

Good people who make damn good food. Hidden food truck the entire East Village loves. Operates like an old school neighborhood spot.

Tortillas are made to order right in front of you, and the whole experience just feels authentic and joyful. I had the steak and pork tacos, my friend got chicken -- we went back for a second round. That says everything. A few tips for first-timers: -- Don't sleep on the quesadillas. Seriously. -- If you like crispy tortillas, order the tostada -- they deep fry it and the result is incredible. -- Get the Horchata. It's not overly sweet and pairs perfectly with the tacos. The staff is 10/10 friendly and efficient. Don't be intimidated by the line -- it moves fast. Case in point: on a rainy morning, there was already a line at 11:01 AM (the place opens at 11). People know what they're doing here. The atmosphere is relaxed. They have nice, authentic music playing at all times. Highly, highly recommend.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

We ordered: Nachos - they were ok Fried calamari - overly salty, slightly fishy, and COLD Chile relleno - underwhelming, lukewarm Hibiscus pomegranate iced tea - tasted like grenadine water. Zero pomegranate or hibiscus flavor. Also, different prices between brunch and regular menu. We were charged regular menu price. Overall, super underwhelming and not worth your time or money. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
