Went at around 6pm and thankfully there was easy parking on the street and no line. The tacos were incredibly good. The fish was breaded perfectly with not too much batter and tasted airy and light. The staff was super nice too. You can pay with Venmo or Zelle. This might become our new favorite taco truck!

The guy took the order was super nice and friendly! . The truck looks very cool. They have vegetarian options which is very special. I'm not a vegan so in terms of the meats it's just ok. There are much better tasting tacos around every 2 blocks in Altadena.

Greg, quick tacos and burritos. Fish, al pastor, and the Brussels sprouts are all super tasty. Reasonable prices too.

Birria, carne asada, and jackfruit tacos.

New favorite taco truck. Carne asada and birria were good. The birria was much better than most of those birria only truck popping up lately. What surprised me were the jackfruit tacos with pickled onions and jalapeños. These were so good. They only give one tortilla with these (versus two on the regular tacos). The other vegetarian options looked good too. Only con was the location by the old closed down market and random crackheads popping out of the bushes. You can phone in your order beforehand to pick up.

Chicken Combo Burrito

BOMB ! What the heck ?! My husband left and got me and the fam the best food I've had in a long time ! The truck was in the neighborhood and Tacos 210 did not disappoint. Wow ... the ingredients were fresh and the portions were just right. I had a chicken combo, my husband ordered the veggie burrito with potato and kale, and my kids got a quesadilla. We all washed it down with Jamaica. OMG ! Nobody was complaining! They give you all the necessary toppings lime, cilantro, cucumber, radish on the side and they are not stingy with the salsa. This place is a return destination for sure !

I want to cry out Texas larp, but I'm just being a funny little guy. My friend wanted to try the Parachute taco as it's a Hayley Williams collaboration item. It's neat because $1 from each taco benefits the Immigrant Defenders Law Center, so I'm glad that our super late night dinner had some overall meaning to it. Since they also serve breakfast dishes here, I'm feeling like it's more of a brunch place as this location closes at 9 PM. Not for the late night alchies people. We ordered online and everything was ready super fast for us. Just a note, that Parachute taco was on the mobile order, but strangely not on the menu on the website. They also ask you several times regarding salsa so make sure you get extra for free (red and green salsa in small sauce containers). Not super spicy in the slightest, but adds another layer of fresh acidic taste. I'm used to red sauce being searingly spicy, but not the case here. This location can be a bit easy to miss since it's on a main street and the turn in can get a bit tight. But you can always get street parking. No issues since we went right before they closed, but it looks like it can get really packed and tight around breakfast/brunch time. It's a very chill and relax ambience. Welcoming and warm. The outdoor area is very well lit and nice in the evening. Loved the lemon tree and I think the olive tree that they had there too. It's vibes as they say. PRO-TIP: Get the corn tortillas. You can taste the delicious corn flavor of the dough. For our dinner, we got the: 1) The Parachute by Hayley Williams: -The reason why we visited and surprisingly the best of the three. A huge surprise since it was the only one we ordered without meat. -This taco comes with mushrooms, black beans, lettuce, tortilla strips, Monterey jack cheese, and tomatillo ranch. -Creaminess from the cheese, slight chew from the mushrooms with a roasted taste, love the crunch from the tortilla strips, and everything came together really nicely. 2) Vaquero: -This comes with brisket, pickled jalapenos, onions, cilantro and lime. This was the one my friend and I both were eyeing as an additional taco. -It was sadly the most disappointing of the three. You'd think with all those toppings inside, it'd be more flavorful. Sadly not. -The brisket was dry and both of us used the most of the salsa on this taco in particular. I'd skip this one. 3) Forth Worth by Leon Bridges: -As a mild neurotic person, I don't listen to music that much, so I have no idea who this is, but I chose this taco since it had chicken and it's a different protein from the rest of the tacos. -This was the most stacked of the bunch, filled to the brim with ingredients and by virtue of that, the most messiest. Have lots of napkins on hand. -This comes with slightly spicy chicken (moist and yummy), bacon, pickled jalapenos, pico de gallo, lettuce, and tomatillo ranch. -I actually liked the bacon in this taco, slight crispiness with some of the rich fatty bits of bacon thrown in too. It's not just lazy bacon bits tossed in. Overall not bad! The tacos weren't the most visually appealing and a bit messy, so FYI. Overall not bad and it goes to a good cause. It's not the most authentic best tacos out there (for that I'd just go to a street stall, but it's great for the more unique combinations).

My coworker and I went all in on the birria lineup, because the whole office was talking about birria so we grabbed the Birria Papas (w added guacamole) and Birria Tacos. The papas came out swinging: legit hand-cut fries piled high like they had something to prove. Messy, loaded, and worth every napkin. The tacos were a little on the petite side, like "did I accidentally order the sample version?" but still tasty enough to keep me from complaining too loudly. Now let's talk about the secret hot sauce. First of all, why is it secret?!?!? 2nd of all, I get it. That stuff is not playing around. One bite and my mouth was on fire!!! If you like heat that punches back, this is your moment!! The spot itself is super clean, the staff is genuinely nice (not the fake "have a nice day" nice), and everything just felt easy and welcoming. Prices won't make your wallet cry either, which is always a bonus, esp how expensive everything is these days!! Only downside, the parking is a bit of a game of luck. We got there early and snagged a spot, but otherwise, you might want to park across the street and pretend it was your plan all along. Overall: great food, spicy surprises, and zero regrets!!! Would absolutely go back. Make sure to ask for the "secret hot sauce" you won't regret it!!!

Alright, so I gotta say food is pretty darn good. Just few things I can say that need improvement…read morebut all in all great flavors and service. Lots of seating, lots of parking( lot in the back). From the design and thought put into the decor, menu and all the other options (like candy, liquor, beer and wine) you get, it's pretty amazing. We ordered a plethora of items to see what would be our favorite. I gotta say it was pretty much everything. Super polite staff and the flavors of the food made you feel good. You're truly in for a treat. Asada burrito super bomb, great flavor decent size and for the price it's great. See I like to eat(like you!) so I wouldn't have minded if it was tad bit bigger and tad bit heavier. But flavor was super delicious. Crunchy potato tacos, like finger food, once I saw someone else's tacos I was like uh oh I'm gonna need a lot more tacos. Except we stuck to ordering a few items to just see how it goes. And yeah, like I said tacos are SMALL. Like baby size. Not normal if you ask me but to each their own I guess. Birria cup lacked meat, but the flavor was amazing, you get 3 baby sized corn tortillas and that's pretty much it. You would expect more meat but after looking at the taco sizes yeah. You ain't getting anymore! So order more! Asada fries as well, portion wise could have been more giving. Loved the house made fries, great touch. Or atleast I am assuming they are house made, tasted very fresh cut if you know what I mean. Except the portion is tiny, like everything else. So if anyone is understanding my lingo is that Madre Maiz doesn't really put out large portions, which makes you want to order more and spend more. Then again they have their flavor to compensate for the quantity? Last can't leave out the guacamole, fresh and delicious with the bag of chips. Now that food portion has been expressed, let's talk about the meat being slightly on the dryer side. Soft but definitely dryer than majority of the taquerias I have been too. The asada 100% was dry and lacked any form of juiciness. Flavor was there but just dry. 100% needed sauce. The red sauce was chipotle based, the orange was habanero, and the green was cilantro/maybe avocado based(no heat in the green). Every bit of sauce helped every bite. Was it worth trying and reviewing? Yes. Will I ever go back? 100% cause that burrito was pretty good. For 12-13 bucks it's not bad at all, might need two. Beautiful decor, and plenty of seating outside and limited on the inside.

I also tried the chorizo taco, and it didn't meet my expectations--it tasted pretty basic, more like store-bought chorizo than something fresh or flavorful. On a positive note, the restaurant itself was quiet and not very crowded, although there seemed to be a steady flow of to-go orders. The service was fast and friendly, which I appreciated. Overall, though, the food just didn't do it for me!
