Definitely one of the best Mexican chains in the area. I've tried almost the entire menu at this point, and you really can't go wrong with anything here. My go-to is always the Al Pastor--either in the tacos or the quesadilla. Also, do not sleep on the street corn; it's easily my favorite thing they make. The vibe inside is great with cool decor, and the staff is consistently friendly. Just a heads-up on the location: it's in a strip mall with plenty of parking overall, but since it's sandwiched between Cava and Starbucks, the spots right out front fill up fast. You might have to walk an extra minute from the side of the lot, but the food is worth it.

I have been to several Tacoria locations, but being honest I always prefer this Edgewater location. I find the food to always be prepared better. I had the carne asada burrito bowl and the side of guacamole and chips. The meat is tender, the balance of ingredients in the bowl proper, and the bowl is full. The guacamole is always fresh and tastes delicious. The chips are crispy and homemade and a generous amount. Love to come here.

This is my second time at this Tacoria location and I find it to be the better of the ones I have been to. All of them serve up great food. There is just something different about this one. The food here seems tastier. The meat is always tender and has a lot of flavor on its own. The Mexican street corn is my favorite!

Tacos , nachos with chicken & Chicken Quesadilla. All very delicious

My husband and I were in the mood for some really good tacos. My husband and I were familiar with the company. We decided to stop & we are happy that we did. The tacos and everything that we got including the delicious quesadilla was very very good. I highly recommend going there. The service was excellent too.

I know Tacoria is a local franchise, but that doesn't change how it tastes for me. They deliver, every time!! I was please with my salsa, salsa verde made fresh in house, and the diced mangos in my burrito dish. Nothing about my meal felt heavy or unhealthy. Actually, I would say it's a pretty macro friendly dish filled with plenty of fiber and protein. Eat up, gym friends!!

Food is good. Service is nice. Good burrito like the Paramus location. Similar decor but it's way smaller. Very tight seating. We ended up take it to-go.

Steak salad plus the chips and guacamole.

I first came here for a yelp event but have been back a couple of times since, which is rare for me these days with the escalating cost of eating out. But when I do, Tacoria is at the top of my list. The food and service are both great and it's so easy to park for pick up. My latest go too is the steak salad and adding the Brussels sprouts and rasa as extras on top with a flour tortilla as a side. The portions are large and so flavorful. It works out well bc I am cutting down on meat; my pup gets a couple tasty snack with the steak and I get a very hearty semi vegetarian salad. The horchata is so good too!

Ordered to go, absolutely stuffed with just half a burrito bowl. We tried the chicken tinga and Al pastor. I think the rice was very tomato (paste?) forward and I would've liked to see less crema, heaps more cilantro, and a drizzle more of spicy sauce but overall not a bad meal! The cashier who took our order was a sweet guy, cool tacoria shirt in the style of the Jets logo (there's a merch corner) and he seemed pretty happy to be there. The restaurant had plenty of clean and open seating, music is a teeny tiny bit loud but I'm just old. Cool lunch spot!

So a Tacoria opened up, a couple of months ago, relatively close to us. So after some shopping we decided to grab something quick. The place was pretty empty for a Saturday, so we ordered right away, Al Pastor and Tinga Chicken Bowls; to-go. The kid behind the register was chatty and nice, and got our food out to us in like 5 minutes. He also threw in some complimentary chips and salsa. While the Tinga Chicken was good, the Al Pastor tasted like Tomato Paste. We ate about half of each one, and saved the rest. I just found it in the fridge today, so it got tossed. The merch available for purchase had Jets and Giants likeness to it. Copyright infringement for sure. But I doubt The Mara's or The Johnson's will take legal action.

I love the food at Tacoria and now there's one on my way home from work. This location is new and the staff is extremely friendly and sweet. This is the perfect spot when craving hearty Mexican food.

The service is good. The staff moves quickly to keep their traffic calm. The ambiance is ok, it's a small location. The food is decent it could probably be more seasoned. I'm just not a big fan of the lack of flavor for the cost

Perhaps tacos are better than the burrito which was rice and beans with a couple tiny chicken pieces , not worth the price.

I found it odd that the restaurant was located on 94th Street, given its name, but that was irrelevant. Its reviews were excellent, and the food looked great in the Yelp photos, so we decided to give it a shot. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Burrito Bowl, which was supposed to be served in a fried flour tortilla that had been shaped into a bowl, but I, instead, opted for the ingredients to be placed in a container without the crispy vehicle. The platter included diced chicken, orange Mexican rice, black beans, lettuce, corn, pico de gallo, and guacamole. The chicken was well-seasoned and tender, the rice was fluffy, and the beans were very flavorful. The rest of the ingredients were fresh, and everything blended well together. I was allowed to select one of four sauces, though there were no descriptions to help distinguish their differences. I just selected the Red Smoky Salsa, which turned out to have a medium heat level and added notes of chipotle; I thought it was perfect. I had also asked for no queso fresco, and the crema on the side, though I wound up not using it. Overall, I was very impressed with my dish, and my friend enjoyed her Skirt Steak Burrito as well. Taqueria 86 delivered (pun intended) on flavor and quality. Next time I hope to visit the restaurant in-person to enjoy their cocktails and what looks like a fun atmosphere.

Showed up on a gorgeous Sunday with friends. Inside was empty (and hot), but we saw a table outside wrapping up. Spoke to the host about sitting there and he said sure. We sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited. He returned a few minutes later to tell us her informed by the older woman working there (not Nina based on pics from their website) we couldn't sit outside if we're just drinking. We explained we wanted to eat, but for now while waiting we'd have drinks. And then we sat there. Waiting. 15 minutes went by and we finally were able to order drinks waiting for the table to be cleaned. We saw a party of 5 enter and speak to the woman about having our table. We said to the man we're waiting on that table and he said yes its yours no need to worry. Next thing we know the woman sat the other party at the table we waited 22 minutes for. We pointed this out to the man. He was silent and didn't know what to say. I got up and went outside to the woman and explained we'd been waiting 22 minutes for that table and she needed to move them and explain they were sat in error. At first I could see she realized her mistake, then she said she would get her manager, then she said they actually were here before us. I said no they were not, we've been here all this time and they just arrived. She kept saying they were here first but they were not. I walked away from her done with this stupid conversation. We told them we were leaving and the man said "sorry". Nina - if you read this you need to train your staff to do better. The restaurant seemed understaffed and the two people working there are not communicating and seem like they do not know what they are doing. We ended up going down the street to Polanco Social where we were sat outside immediately, had amazing service, great food, and ended up chatting with the kind owner who bought us dessert on the house!

Little did we know that it was business on the main floor and a party on the bottom! We ended up skipping the coffee and just had food. This is a Mexican spot with some Colombian themed dishes on the brunch/lunch menu. The breakfast burrito was recommended by our server (as a popular dish) as well as the huevos rancheros. I love biscuits so was swayed in a different direction... an egg and cheese sandwich on a house made jalapeño biscuit. The biscuit sandwich was filling, although a bit too dry for my taste. The addition of the jalapeño did give the biscuit a good kick. The potatoes were nicely seasoned. My friend gushed about her huevos rancheros. It did look good, and I would likely skip the biscuit sandwich and go for the huevos rancheros or tacos next time. The service was super sweet and attentive. We truly didn't realize there was another floor until we finished our meal in the enclosed heated space up front, and the server encouraged us to check it out. It's a cool set up with a distinct feel from the main floor. All in all I would check this place out again.
