Excited to have this close by to enjoy during my lunch hour! Always satisfies my plant-based taco craves. The beyond tacorizo and the nachos with beyond chorizo meat are delicious. And the Mexican corn is hard to pass up. Although the food takes a little time to prepare, it's worth it. Definitely one of the best Mexican chains in the area. I've tried almost the entire menu at this point, and you really can't go wrong with anything here. My go-to is always the Al Pastor--either in the tacos or the quesadilla. Also, do not sleep on the street corn; it's easily my favorite thing they make. The vibe inside is great with cool decor, and the staff is consistently friendly. Just a heads-up on the location: it's in a strip mall with plenty of parking overall, but since it's sandwiched between Cava and Starbucks, the spots right out front fill up fast. You might have to walk an extra minute from the side of the lot, but the food is worth it. read more

The Ridgewood location in my opinion is more aesthetically appealing and unique, however the quality, the quantity and the decorative design of the food is the same. Arguably the best Mexican chain outside of Jose Tejas and Chipotle. I highly highly recommend this spot and any of the other locations. The service is also fantastic and the staff make sure to cater to whatever whim you desire. I have to emphasis the bang for your buck at these spots. You get a justified amount of food for the price and you will come back seeking more! Well done! read more

Carne asada burrito was pretty good. The sides were grilled nice and crispy, and it had a lot of flavor, especially since I added guacamole, which added some freshness. I also asked for chipotle aioli, but I don't think they added much, if any. Chips were REALLY nice and crispy, almost like glass. They probably double-fry them or something. But they're honestly inconveniently large. I struggled to eat a few of them. My main issue is that the horchata tastes so watered down. There's hardly any flavor; I really have to focus to perceive it. If they could fix that, my experience would've been significantly improved. I put a lot of stock in my beverages. I have been to several Tacoria locations, but being honest I always prefer this Edgewater location. I find the food to always be prepared better. I had the carne asada burrito bowl and the side of guacamole and chips. The meat is tender, the balance of ingredients in the bowl proper, and the bowl is full. The guacamole is always fresh and tastes delicious. The chips are crispy and homemade and a generous amount. Love to come here. read more

I went to this place for the first time today (Cinco de Mayo) and was really looking forward to a great experience--but it ended up being the complete opposite. I specifically asked for chicken tacos with no onions because my partner is allergic. Unfortunately, when I got home and opened the order, every single taco was covered in onions. It's honestly frustrating and disappointing when such an important request is ignored, especially when it involves an allergy. Situations like this shouldn't happen. I was please with my salsa, salsa verde made fresh in house, and the diced mangos in my burrito dish. Nothing about my meal felt heavy or unhealthy. I didn't enjoy the chicken pastor burrito at all. It wasn't a firm burrito, because it barely had chicken. I can't tell you I even got a good piece of chicken in the whole burrito. The chicken it did have, tasted like the grill bits, not chicken. The pineapple or whatever that was, only in one end wasn't chewable and I had to spit most of it out. There were like two kernels of corn, so little that it shouldn't even be in the description. They don't give you any salsas, to help out the situation. You have to pay for them. Mexican burritos are never this bad. I don't want to try anything else they have. I ordered delivery, the packaging was good, that's it. I wanted to enjoy the two for one special. I didn't. And I ate on half of one burrito. I'm now looking for a homeless person to offer up the other. read more

I first came here for a yelp event but have been back a couple of times since, which is rare for me these days with the escalating cost of eating out. But when I do, Tacoria is at the top of my list. The food and service are both great and it's so easy to park for pick up. My latest go too is the steak salad and adding the Brussels sprouts and rasa as extras on top with a flour tortilla as a side. The portions are large and so flavorful. It works out well bc I am cutting down on meat; my pup gets a couple tasty snack with the steak and I get a very hearty semi vegetarian salad. The horchata is so good too! read more

Ordered to go, absolutely stuffed with just half a burrito bowl. We tried the chicken tinga and Al pastor. I think the rice was very tomato (paste?) forward and I would've liked to see less crema, heaps more cilantro, and a drizzle more of spicy sauce but overall not a bad meal! The cashier who took our order was a sweet guy, cool tacoria shirt in the style of the Jets logo (there's a merch corner) and he seemed pretty happy to be there. So a Tacoria opened up, a couple of months ago, relatively close to us. So after some shopping we decided to grab something quick. The place was pretty empty for a Saturday, so we ordered right away, Al Pastor and Tinga Chicken Bowls; to-go. The kid behind the register was chatty and nice, and got our food out to us in like 5 minutes. He also threw in some complimentary chips and salsa. While the Tinga Chicken was good, the Al Pastor tasted like Tomato Paste. We ate about half of each one, and saved the rest. I just found it in the fridge today, so it got tossed. The merch available for purchase had Jets and Giants likeness to it. Copyright infringement for sure. But I doubt The Mara's or The Johnson's will take legal action. read more

We ordered the other night. Partner got the salad with Carne Asada, onion and Pineapple. After 2 hours of eating it he felt ill. I ordered the usual chicken quesadilla. It was okay but felt the taste was off. I didn't really feel any symptoms until the morning. Both of us got sick from food poisoning. Maybe cross contamination. We been here multiple times and it's been good until now. Idk maybe something wasn't cleaned or products need to be rechecked. This place is located in the Edgewater commons. Where you can go shopping and grab some tacos. As soon as we walked in they had some good music playing meanwhile Rosemary greeted us. She walked us thru the menu and gave some awesome recommendations. We ordered the Carne Asada tacos on a corn tortilla, we ordered the steak quesadillas along with some street corn, golden avocados, and guacamole and chips. To drink we had the Horchata and guava & basil agua frescas. The food came out pretty quick and it was so good. Constantly not putting chicken inside my the kids quesadilla that i paid for , getting a burrito bowl paying extra for lettuce and barely getting any lettuce inside. The bowl is full of rice! . The food here was outstanding! The tacos are sold individually, but each one is definitely worth it--every bite is better than the last. The quesadillas were also fantastic, served in two generous pieces with just the right amount of cheese. The staff were incredibly friendly, offering us smaller menus instead of having us look over the counter. They even asked if it was our first visit and made sure our meals were to our liking. Came here with my sister for a bite to eat and we love this location! We had Brussels Sprout burrito bowls and they were so so good, everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The gentleman at the counter was so kind and helpful while I was making my order. He recommended the agua frescas, I sampled two and they were both rly rly good. My only concern was there wasn't a ton of seating but one of the workers let me know that they are on doordash/grubhub so if in the future we just wanted to order for pickup or delivery we can.
