Great spot consistent food need to add queso to their menu but have a good margarita. Price is six dollars and five dollar Kronos :-) service is hit or miss. They have some great new servers but in the past it was not the best . I really like this local spot and hope they continue to do better and keep it cute and festive in this beautiful area!

If I ask my fiance what he wants to order for dinner, his answer will always be, "a burrito". And with a name like 'Flaming Burritos', it was bound to catch his eye on the delivery apps. So we ordered an early dinner one Monday evening. We ordered the Al Pastor burrito (stuffed with black beans, Mexican rice, Monterrey Jack cheese wrapped in a 12" tortilla. Served with sour cream and homemade flaming salsa) and the Super Quesadilla (melted Monterey jack cheese, pico de gallo, Spanish rice and fresh guacamole inside and sour cream on the side) and added chorizo. Both were great and super filling. I was actually starting to get a little full after the first half of the quesadilla but since I'm not a quitter, I decided to finish the other half. Would definitely order from here again. Next time, I'd like to try their wraps or the tacos.

Just bad bc it had to be old and it also had ZERO taste well there was the lime ... but not worth $10 ...no way, no how, no deal

The food is tasty and feels homemade which I personally love. The Baja fish tacos don't disappoint, they are delicious, I love the grilled chicken enchiladas with the red sauce usually is my to go dish. My husband likes the birria tacos which are awesome too. The service is great, their servers are super nice and friendly!!! The place is small but pretty cozy and has that neighborhood vibe.

A delicious find in Union City. The Flaming Burritos at 46th Street and Park Avenue. Good food and good fun. A gold nugget in Union City. What delicious food and great service! Thank you Angie, Alex and everybody for making me want to come back again and again! This is the steak burrito. Delish!

I dragged my favorite vegan out here for dinner on a Tuesday. Parking in the area is INSANE. It was almost an hour before I found a spot which is ridiculous. We came here specifically because they serve vegan chorizo, as well as seasoned tofu as protein options. For appetizer, we got an order of jalapeno poppers. They were super hot, and squirted out mad cheese when we bit into em. Our food came next. I got a super quesadilla with tofu and vegan cheese. She got a wet burrito with vegan chorizo. The portion sizes are enormous, and the prices are very low. The food was very good, and we had plenty to take home. I really liked this restaurant, it's just too bad parking in the area sucks

If you're looking for a no frills Mexican place then this is your spot. They don't have any fancy dishes, just simple, good portion food. I usually go for the burrito and never really am disappointed with it. They put a good amount of beans, meat and rice in it. If you want more added like guacamole, jalapeño, etc. you can but they will charge you extra for it. So that's kinda the only down side as they do charge extra for everything you add. They have a liquor license so margarita's and beers are available for I believe 5$ each. A good amount of tables are available inside to dine in and never had to wait for a table. I believe they have a lot of take out going on instead of people dining in. I would definitely recommend this place if you're just looking for a nice filling Mexican plate.

A great choice for some delicious Mexican food in the area. I was quite appreciative that they're still open for business during this time even as quite many of the local restaurants have closed up doors. At first I thought the prices were bit high but after trying out their burrito and tacos I think its definitely well worth a try if you're a fan of Mexican food. I didn't like their chicken mole that much however but especially the shrimp burritos is quite a delicious treat. Pick-up was super simple and easy and definitely under Seamless' time of estimate. Hopefully once we're able to go back out to dine at restaurants I'd like to try Flaming Burritos dining in.

    Cockroach leg on my finger.

THERE WAS A DEAD COCKROACH IN MY NACHOS!!!! Manager/owner refused to follow up with me. Do not go to this place or order. The employees gave me the run around when I went back with the food and said someone will follow up with me. No one has yet "Fresh Mex"

Sitting at the bar, it was only me one other patron and the bartender (with the host nearby). Had a great time talking, it was a slow day so we all really had a great time. I went with the white queso ($8) from the HH menu and then tried the fried cauliflower($9). They were good, breaded thickly with a great spicy sauce. All went great with a beer on tap, whatever was on HH that day.

Conveniently located near Union Square/14th Street on the Lexington Avenue Line, Javelina is fairly easy to get to from Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan. The restaurant itself is downstairs from the street, but not quite a basement. There is a bar when you first enter on the left, and tables back to the kitchen. The space is usually quite loud, and it can be a bit cramped at times. Don't be surprised if you find yourself raising your voice a bit to keep up. Upon seating, you will (eventually) be offered chips and salsa, and someone will take your drink order. Things can take a bit of time here, especially at busy times, so do not expect the top tier of restaurant service by any stretch of the imagination. The menu features fajitas, and I cannot imagine ordering anything else. The queso is a lovely appetizer, though the trio feels a bit small for the price. If you order fajitas, you will notice another shortcoming of this restaurant, the tables can feel a bit cramped. This is something that comes with the territory in Manhattan dining but do not feel surprised if you end up having to rearrange things on your table to accommodate a delicious platter of sizzling fajitas. The fajitas themselves are fine, and probably the most consistent I've found here in the city. I would not be surprised if there were better places for fajitas elsewhere but in my research this seemed like the best option. Requests have been missed before in my experience (I recall ordering a certain salsa that never came) and because the waiters seem a bit overwhelmed, it hard to address it before you'd want to eat. Overall, this place will scratch the itch for fajitas, but the service is lacking. I'll probably find myself wanting fajitas again in the future and return, but every time I visit I find myself just a little bit disappointed that a good restaurant is not great.

Seating is limited as the place is very small. There's maybe 5-6 tables and they were all taken at the time. I ordered the al pastor tacos (4 per order) and the chorizo quesadillas (3 per order). The tacos were good. They also come with a side of some radishes and cucumbers. But the star was the quesadilla. Even after transit, it was still crispy. These were packed with ingredients - lots of chorizo, cheese, and lettuce (and possibly some crack). Both are served with a side of this hot sauce and green salsa, which I loved and smothered on my food. The quality and price point is amazing. I feel like at a lot of Mexican places I've ordered from, you can only have one or the other but not at Viva Mexico. I think this might be the best Mexican food I've had in the area, and also the cheapest, which is rare. I almost don't want to write that because I want to be selfish and keep that a secret, but at the same time, I feel like everyone should know about this place because it's just that great. Can't wait to come back soon! The breakfast plates and the tortas sound really good so maybe I'll go with that next. I've found my new favorite Mexican spot!

The tacos, wow, I could've probably eaten six more if you put them in front of me. I like that the meat is chopped in small pieces and grilled to perfect without being sloppy yet full. It looks like they make their tortillas fresh in house which you can taste the authenticity and they did something interesting with the onions where they weren't chopped rather sliced and slightly grilled. In addition, the flautas were a little questionable at a glance if your visual eater because the lettuce did have carrots, the cream had a bit of a pink tint, and the chicken wasn't grilled rather finally shredded. Nonetheless, the flavor did not disappoint the flat sauce also came on the bed of lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, a bit of cheese, and of course, avocado. I had a few questions in the way that they prepared the food and the back staff quickly stepped in to answer all of them and price wise.
