My wife and I stopped by Tacoria on March 8, 2026 planning to order food. While I was standing in line at the register preparing to place our order, my wife politely asked if she could use the restroom. A cashier immediately tried to stop her from going, even though we were clearly customers already waiting in line to order. What made the situation worse was what happened next. A manager identified as Justin and another cashier began arguing about the situation in front of customers. Instead of calmly explaining any policy, the discussion turned into an awkward back-and-forth between staff members while we stood there waiting. The entire interaction became uncomfortable and embarrassing, and it felt like we were being treated as if we had done something wrong simply for asking to use the restroom while waiting to order. If the restaurant has a policy that restrooms are only for paying customers, that's completely understandable. However, there was no visible sign anywhere explaining that policy. Situations like this should be handled professionally and respectfully, especially when customers are already in line to make a purchase. What could have been a simple moment of customer service instead turned into an unnecessarily uncomfortable experience. I hope management reviews how staff communicate policies with customers and considers posting clear signage about restroom access so situations like this can be avoided in the future. read more

I wanted a nice place to enjoy dinner in Hoboken and found Tacoria on Washington Street. I never knew about this chain but it seems similar to Chipotle, Qdoba and other Mexican places. The interior location is very fancy and bright. There were some families hanging out and eating. You place an order on the app and pick it up on the counter. I ordered the chicken burrito. I downloaded the app in order to take advantage of the free chips and guacamole. The food was really good. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. This is much better than Chipotle or Qdoba. The chips were fresh and crispy. They are very different from the thin chips I get at Chipotle. They have fresh juices such as Horchota, Limonada, and Guava. They offer several sauces for your food such as Salas Verde, Smokey Roja, Habanero, and Valentin Hot Sauce. This is a major upgrade from the other stores. Got a burrito this time. WAY better bang for your buck - good size, and paid $18 for burrito and horchata. Still a little pricey imo, but honestly not bad by Jersey standards, and it was delicious. But they did nickel-and-dime me for steak and guac, which I didn't like. It's also cold inside the place. The seats are metal, and sometimes an employee would be holding the door open to clean it, or they'd be chatting with a delivery guy who was holding it open. Tacoria's brussels sprouts tacos have been some of my favorite tacos ever, and they are always my go-to at any of the Mexican food chain's locations. However, my recent bite of one from the Hoboken shop was not the same as it had been in the past. First off, the soft corn tortilla was bland and completely fell apart. Typically, they have wrapped with two tortillas by default, but there was only one that time. In addition, the sprouts were very salty, so I was not sure if they changed the marinade, used too much of it, or what, but it was very over-powering. Lastly, there were way too much crema and cilantro on the top; the cilantro was a mountain of a portion, which made it hard not to get a mouthful of it. Typically I think of Tacoria as the top fast-food Mexican place in the area, so that recent experience was a real letdown. read more

I've ordered a burrito for delivery many times as well and it's always just pretty good, something to spice up my typical burrito hankering outside of chipotle. Today I dined in for lunch and got a chicken burrito add cilantro, add pico de gallo, sat down with a bottle of Tapatio hot sauce, and a Diet Coke. This single-handedly may have been the greatest burrito experience I have ever had. If you have not been, or have had the food just not dined in... I cant recommend you do so enough. Tacoria does not have the room to sit and enjoy the incredible fresh food that they serve there. They are proud to say no freezer and no microwave and the food tastes incredibly fresh. I almost always get the salad bowl and even tho amazing on its own, always add extras like the fantastic Brussels sprouts, golden avocado, and corn. And the lime dressing is delicious!! They have the best drinks (Jarritos, Mexican Coca Cola) and the flavor of their food is way more authentic than any chipotle or qdoba. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are not stingy. Despite having a limited menu, there is still a good amount of variety. I've had pollo tinga, Al pastor, and carne asada. I saw this place is always busy, then decided to give it a try, and now I'm hooked! Their Brussels sprouts taco is the best ever. My current favorite is Brussels sprouts nachos with added chorizo. The delivery was taking long so we just called to get an update. The first time we called they said Uber Eats had not picked it up yet. Then it said it was delivered but we did not receive our order. So naturally we called and the woman on the phone said she didn't know and that it was through Uber Eats. We asked for a refund and she said she wasn't sure. Here's the thing we booked through thier website they should have 1000 percent been more understanding on the phone and offered us a refund. They acted like it wasn't their problem yet we could not access it through Uber Eats since we ordered it through TAQORIA! Located in downtown Hoboken, I have visited this place a couple of times. It's similar to Chipotle but the portion size is a bit smaller compared to them but the quality of ingredients here definitely taste better! I have had a burrito bowl before and recently a pollo asada burrito wrap. The burrito bowl is pretty similar to Chipotle with less quantity but here I'm reviewing the latest visit having pollo asada burrito wrap. I had suggested the staff to substitute brown rice for white rice which they did, the wrap consisted of black beans, queso, cheese, salsa and chicken. Honestly I thought the quantity of chicken could have been better as most of the time it was rice and beans. Chips and guac were sides but I felt the chips were a little salty and could be better whereas the guac can be a bit better in quantity given the amount of chips which they serve! The staff are really friendly and the ambiance is cool, it's a pretty chill place with vibe while the seating arrangement isn't that enough if it's super crowded but decent enough to accommodate people! Offering tacos and burritos, we ordered the Viva La Nachos: Carne Asada pie nacho. This was a great dish to share with a companion, included were five strips of jalapeno peppers and well cooked steak. However, I personally rate the Macho Nacho in Morristown higher with its mixed type of meats. The Burrito Box: Al Pastor black beans were saucy and the pork deliciously greasy. The portion size was smaller than expected. A wide array of sauces freshly made on the premises to choose from to augment your Tacoria experience. Salsa Verde and Habanero were the way to go. Guava drink and horchata were both a delight and recommended over water or soda. The dining area had picnic tables and benches for sitting. A mix of nineties music was pumped over the speakers. Staff was helpful in explaining the menu. While the restaurant calls itself a Mexican street kitchen, the prices are not dirty cheap. Understandably this restaurant is not in CDMX nor on the street, so based on the quality there is value to be have for a night out on the town. read more

Love this amazing flavors this place has to offer. I would say they have almost the same concept of chipotle but ofc better. They have options for all type of diets and they have variety of sauces to go with your meal. We dined in and have had takeouts from this place. They have ample seating. You're able to order right on the kiosk (or a cashier ) and you take a buzzer, once your order is ready , you bring the buzzer and take your food from the pickup counter.
