A hidden gem in Jersey City. If you don't look carefully you will pass this place up. But you won't be dissapponted. It's a hole in the walk with only two tables and 5 seats. It's best to order it and carry it out. The food is made to order. I been here a few times I usually get the same thing and it's delicious. I get the alambre con queso. But I substitute chicken instead of beef. It has bacon, onion, peppers mushrooms and cheese. It's like a chicken cheese steak taco. Yum. I also had their guacamole which was delicious as well. This is my go to Mexican spot. Because it's made to order and it's price efficient. read more

There very few good mexican places in this area. This is one of them. The Mushroom Quesadilla was really good. It was yum. Veggie Burrito was quite big couldn't finish in one go. It had rice beans veggies. I think the amount of rice should be reduced. overall a good option eat good mexican food! read more

Outstanding quesadillas and taquitos. The best part was the carnitas - the quesadilla was running with juice, which was amazing. However, I really loved their green salsa and guacamole as well. Also can't forget about the nice owner! read more

I love their burritos!! And they deliver- I order directly through them, not a delivery service

I probably order from this spot a few times a month. I always order the same exact thing, the chicken burrito and chips and guacamole! Those are definitely the best things on the menu in my opinion! I always have left overs as well! This is a small mom and pop shop so I love supporting a hard-working local JC spot. The son is usually the guy that delivers to me. He is a very friendly guy. Overall this is my go to Mexican spot and they will continue to get my support! Now where did I put down that bucket of guacamole lol. read more

I always get their chicken quesadillas! Only I've tried to be honest because they hit every time ! Love how they give the 3 dips so yummy! Highly recommend read more

This one of the few authentic Mexican Restaurants in Jersey City. Small, low-key, non-presumptuous but offering really great Mexican cuisine at very affordable prices. I particularly love the fish tacos. It is on a soft-shell, served with tasty fillet of (i believe) tilapia. Also equally delicious is the quesadilla in different flavors. Comes with sour cream, guacamole, and that combo of tomatoes, cilantro, onions on the side. Fortunately, they accept credit cards now and they deliver via phone call or seamless. Victor, who owns the place, is great and accomodating, too! Nice, neighborhood place. read more

3 Coffee Beans Restaurant - Oh, my fish taco!!! - Mexican Near Me - Jersey City, New Jersey

After a day of running around and getting slammed in Hudson Co. traffic, my wife and I decided to find a new spot for delivery. I've driven past this spot many times and thought that it looked intriguing. I had the chorizo burrito. My wife had the steak burrito. Both came stuffed with Mexican rice, cheese and meat. The seasoning and the flavors were spot on! We added on some sour cream and guacamole and we were in heaven. The real surprise was the steak quesadilla that we ordered to split. It was probably the best (non-homemade) quesadilla that I've ever had!!!! The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the speed of delivery. Slow is an understatement! It took a little more than an hour and we live in the neighborhood. Overall, this will be our new go-to Mexican restaurant! read more

Not quite sure they deserve the full 4 stars, but the food is way better than 3. Excellent guac, authentic carnitas taco, also liked the quesadilla (i had mushroom). Just beware that the place is meant for TAKE-OUT, and maybe delivery. There were 4 small tables in there when i went a few days ago, they were pushed together as one, and they had the grease and dirt from previous customers. The man making the food didn't ask if i was taking out, just assumed so. I removed the stuff from the packaging and ate at the greasy table. Didn't see a rest room. Good food, though! read more

The BEST guacamole ever! I've never eaten at the restaurant, we always get food delivered (which takes forever) but it's always so delicious! We always look forward to Taco Tuesday/Thursday. We've tried beef, steak, fish, chicken tacos and some of the quesadillas. My favorite are the beef tacos & will mention again the best guac! read more

3 Coffee Beans Restaurant - Ground beef tacos with barely any meat in it, extra lettuce & crap all over the plastic bag - Mexican Near Me - Jersey City, New Jersey

A friend who lives up the block from here introduced me to this place and I've been in awe ever since! Their guacamole is so good and fresh. They don't skimp with their burritos. They make a REALLY good quesadilla - I've almost exclusively had the chicken. And I absolutely love their steak and onion tacos. I'm deducting a star because they can be a tad bit heavy on the oil/grease at times. I found the chorizo con queso tacos (Mexican sausage with cheese) that I ordered over the weekend to taste something like a Crisco taco. I could barely taste the flavor in the chorizo, if there was any. The melted cheese on top didn't help either. I do forgive them for this misstep and will just avoid them moving forward. Serves me right for not going with my tried and true steak taco order anyway. read more

Yo, on the real, I'm calling the jersey city health department for this Carnitas burrito I just tasted. Please note I said tasted as the moment it touched my tongue I knew something was off. Y'all selling something not edible and got the nerve to call it food during a pandemic! read more

The name may lead you to believe this is a coffee house, but it is a Mexican restaurant in a most unexpected location across from the Beacon. I had passed it a number of times and finally ordered delivery one day, taking advantage of the "first-time order" discount. Since there was a $15 minimum, I decided to order a variety of food: a mushroom quesadilla, chicken burrito, chips, and a beef empanada. The quesadilla packed a cheesy, mushroomy punch. The burrito was freaking huge and stuffed to the max with rice, well-spiced chicken, and cheese (I requested no beans so can't comment on that). The accompanying guac was fresh and tasty. The chips were crisp, with just the right amount of salt, and were freshly made, which I appreciated - nothing compares to homemade tortilla chips, seriously. I also enjoyed the empanada- the filling was flavorful and not greasy at all. My only gripe was that the delivery took just over an hour. Also, according to the delivery site, the quesadilla should have come with guac as well, and it only came with sour cream. Overall, though, it was worth the wait. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area. And, if you are reading reviews on delivery.com (aside from mine), ignore the haters and put in an order! read more

Tiny little place, so it's better to get your food to go. I do not suggest delivery, because I live pretty close by and it took almost two hours to get the food once, and the order was messed up. At that point we didn't want to wait for re-delivery so we just ate what was delivered. That being said, the food is very delicious and for a good price. The taco's are pretty good, but the refried beans i had were very dry and tasted a little off. read more

This place is great. Ordered delivery, arrived within an hour. Delivery guy was super nice. They brought us a sprite instead of a ginger ale and he offered to bring back the right drink. They are super affordable. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, an empanada, fish tacos, fries, chips and salsa and 3 drinks for 30 bucks total. Seriously you can't beat it. And the food was excellent. The fish tacos come with three and they are very light with fresh ingredients. Nice crunchy coating on the grilled fish. The guacamole was amazing, nice hefty portion, made perfectly and came with thick, crunchy tortilla chips with just a hint of salt. Delish!! I will definitely be ordering from this place again! read more

My food came super quick. Under the time estimated for delivery The chicken quesadilla was great. The empanadas are fantastic and guacamole is awesome. I highly recommend this place. read more

There is no possible way that this place deserves more than 1 star. We did a pick up order. The place does not appear clean. My steak tacos came with a combination of burnt steak and pure fat. There is no need for the added oily cheese on top of the tacos. I was unable to eat the tacos. The fajitas were also not good; too oily and it didn't taste like chicken. The 1 star goes to the guac. read more

3 Coffee Beans is a very good Mexican food option in the Jersey City area. The guacamole is inexpensive and plentiful, certainly more so than many other offerings nearby. Chicken quesadillas are tasty, although sometimes they can be somewhat greasy for my taste. Flautas are a good dish too. My only negative experience came during my second order with them. Delivery took close to two hours. I called them about an hour into the order and they gave me the usual boilerplate message that my delivery was on its way and should be there any minute. A half hour later, I called again and this time they called the delivery person to inquire about her whereabouts. Ten to fifteen minutes later, my lukewarm food was delivered. Aside from this experience however, deliveries have been prompt and usually on the earlier side of the time estimate. Sadly, they do not offer chilaquiles, one of my favorite dishes. However, their available options are very good and definitely rank among the higher end in the Jersey City area. read more

My first time here, and didn't expect much due to the establishment's appearance. But I was surely surprised with the quality and freshness of the food. Lesson learned! Great food, great service simply awesome. read more

The food is delicious, although $10 for 3 taco's and no beans or rice is a little bit stingy. But, most import, their hours are a lie. Double check if they're open as they tend to pick and choose when they will be. I'd suggest giving them a call or ordering for pickup before going in. read more

Okay overall, Ordered pork taco but owner called says will be another hour wait ( already waited 30 min. ) so switch to steak taco. Steak Taco and quesadilla were tasty, taco shell a bit too doughy. Flavors are nice. However fish taco (tilapia) wasnt very good, flavorless and all I taste was the dough from taco shell. A little pricy, sides were okay. Shame that didnt get to try the pork it sounded nice, will try order again. 3 Stars. read more

The food was amazing and so fresh!! The chef took passion in his product and let me know there are no preservatives in the meats. It's hard to find quality fresh food these days and I'm so happy I found this place! Delicious! read more

I was actually impressed at how good this place was. Food was much better than expected. Delivery took about 40 minutes but that was fine since it came hot when delivered. For a burrito place that is meant to be quick and fast I approve. read more

Recently discovered this place on delivery.com & SO happy we did! The food is awesome! From the fish tacos, fettuccine Alfredo, chicken mole enchiladas to the bomb cheeseburger! Everything taste freshly made & on point! Delivery will take about an hour, but so worth good tasting food! The price is right & no delivery fee, it's no brainier read more

An hour and a half for delivery, barely any meat in the burrito nothing but rice. The quesadilla was good, the chorizo tacos are a miss no cilantro or salsa on it, just plain. I will give them another try next time if the fix the burrito. Make it more balanced and also wrap it like a burrito not like a sandwich. read more

I believe in redemption. I gave 3 coffee beans another chance. I ordered my food on seamless 100 minutes ago, and it is not here. They estimated 60-75 minutes. So, even giving them the benefit of the doubt, 25 minutes late. I know I said it before, but never, ever again. Ordered from here twice now and ended up sitting around for hours starving both times even though they are like a mile from my apartment. update: I called the restaurant after 2 hours, and they said "your food is here. We don't have avocados though" (I ordered guacamole) So, they were never going to call me, and never deliver my food. Awesome. Do yourself a favor and never order from this place online. read more

This place needs a new name and a makeover but the food is A+ amazing! One of my good friends lives in "The Beacon" and introduced me to the deliciousness that is Three Beans when I visited her and I had to share the wealth! When I used to visit, we would order pizza or Chinese which were both good but this place is AWESOME! Highly recommend, I wish that I lived closer so that I could get it delivered to the waterfront!!! read more

Excellent food. You get a lot for what you pay. I tried the steak and mushroom tacos (3), the beef empanadas, fries, chips and guacamole. It was all excellent. I had enough for 3 full meals for about 15 bucks. I especially loved their empanadas and guacamole. To die for! Delivery was fast and the extremely polite delivery man gave me my food with a smile which just made eating it so much better. Would definitely recommend. read more

I ordered dinner from here for my staff at work last night and everyone really enjoyed their food. Good quantity and reasonable prices. I had a veggie burrito which was perfect mix of veggies, cheese, rice and beans. Also had the guac which was delicious and I highly recommend. Yelp and Delivery.com said that they don't deliver to my job but I called and they said that the gladly would which was amazing. Most places won't deliver to us for some reason even though we are in JC. I'll definitely be ordered from here again. read more

Not only is the food authentic and delicious, but the people who own this place are so kind. I actually live only a couple doors down from them and order food occasionally, they are always so friendly. Even when I'm not in ordering food, the owner recognizes me and always says "hello". One time I went in to see if i could purchase cilantro from them because I forgot to pick some up at the grocery store and they were so nice about it and just gave it to me. read more

This place is awesome! I have had plenty of Mexican food in the NYC/NJ area but 3 Coffee Beans knows how to make the best corn tortilla pork, chicken, and steak tacos around. They load them up with fresh veggies and the tacos aren't oily like you may get at other places. The side of guacamole is as good as it gets! My favorite part about ordering from here is the service. Victor and his son take pride when delivering their order. I order from here at least once or twice a week. Hopefully, they will add some horchata to their menu selections. read more

Ordered delivery here a few times and each time the food was delicious and arrived hot. The guacamole is actually very good (I'm a guac snob) and only $1 for a small side order. We've had the fish tacos, the fish burrito, various quesadillas, fish torta, shrimp fajita and last but not least the cheese empanada (sounds crazy but this was amazing! - still warm & perfectly fried on the outside). We even had an issue with ordering on Seamless one day and the owner personally called us to apologize and even offered a discount off our next order. We forgot but he remembered the next time we ordered! I really appreciate great service and if the food is good, even better! read more

The burrito was alright, but it could've been better. There was almost nothing in it, just the meat and rice. I expected some sour cream or avocados or something in the actual burrito. The quesadillas were pretty good. Nothing special but they will actually fill you up. The enchiladas was my favorite thing from here. It's messy and all over the place but holy it was great. I think I finished them in about 2 minutes. Highly recommended. read more

This was some of the worst food I have had in the area. We ordered at 8pm and the food came at 9:40. The chicken burrito had barely a drop of chicken in it was just all rice. The floatas seemed like something you buy in the frozen food section of your grocery store. The shrimp tacos were covered in breading to the point there was hardly any shrimp in them. Do yourself a favor and don't order from this place. read more

This review is solely based off of the service provided, since at this point I haven't even been able to smell my food. I ordered food online, which I know can some times be problematic. After waiting an hour and a half for my food to be delivered I called to ask where it is...The man on the phone says its on the way it will be there soon. So I wait another 40 mins and call again. A woman answers this time and says there was no order placed and asked for a confirmation number. After giving that information she says "sorry about that we will take the charge off the card and send you your food at no charge" One hour later still no food...... So I call again, and they call the delivery guy who claims to have deliver it but yet disputes that comment minuets later. Needless to say I am very upset about the customer service provided by this restaurant. The restaurant officially closed before I got my food, thats pretty pathetic. read more

I'm scheduled to work in jersey city a few day out the week and was in the mood for some authentic mexican food. I decided to give this place a try after reading the reviews and boy was I happy I did. The empandas are to die for!!! I had the chicken fajita and it was also yummy and fresh. I will definitely be visiting 3 coffee beans again read more

I had the chicken quesadillas and the guac - both were ok, not spectacular. While a quesadilla isn't that hard to mess up, the guac was surprisingly lacking in flavor and the chips were very oily. Overall, I've had better Mexican in JC, but if you have a random craving and live in the area, I think this does the trick. read more

Got the chicken enchiladas and the steak burrito -for delivery - neither were good. The steak burrito was 90% rice, another 5% was onion, and then a small spattering of meat.
