Tostadas were delicious service was great Jamica was tasty My pozole however was lacking I had to add salt and everything else on the table to give it some flavor!! I heard so many rumors about how good this soup was but it tasted like plain water with meat in it I'm used to Peruvian Patasca very similar but Peruvians win hands down !!! Will I come back sure !!!!!
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere had a nice vibe to it. We ordered some guacamole, because that usually sets the bar on how I feel about Mexican restaurants, and it was fire! I ordered the chicken tacos for my meal and it was also amazing! Definitely recommend checking this spot out!
Came to Taco Intenso finally after wanting to try it for a while now and always dining nearby. It's a small, casual restaurant with about 6-8 tables depending on how many people are already dining there and how many are in your party. Upon arriving we sat anywhere we liked and were served basic chips and salsa. I ordered the 3 birria tacos which were so delicious! The only thing that I didn't like was the fatty meat I took out. I also got the large horchata drink but beware as the large is 32 oz for $7 (it's not listed on the menu as an option for small or large but I love horchata so I decided to get the large). My boys got the chicken burritos which were large, generous portions, and they seemed to enjoy them! Service was quick and the waitress was nice and attentive. I would definitely come back again to try some other menu items. Parking was a bit tricky around lunchtime in a Sunday but knowing the area and dining around here I know parking usually isn't too bad before 4pm, can't speak on after that.

Granted, I left my credit card here on Sept 1st as you can see in my statement, I don't really use this card. My gut just told me to look at my statement and I see this! How ironic that it was used at the same establishment and then they went for a little coffee. There is no way someone that may have found this card took this long to use it and ironically enough used it at the same establishment. I am beyond words right now. Extremely mad on the unethical behavior. Unreal. I will update this in the case anything changes.
Yep! We found it! Our go to Mexican restaurant! We do not live in the area but we will travel to come here. It's a beautiful environment, very kind staff, and very clean. The food? DELICIOUS. I ordered the al pastor tacos and chicken tacos. The flavor in each bite packed with seasoning. I am not much of a meat person but the al pastor with the pineapple was sweet and savory (loved this). I had an option between a flour tortilla but I always opt for corn. One thing I would change is I would definitely ask for two tortillas per taco instead of one. I had ordered extra radishes for my tacos because I love radishes with my tacos. We also ordered the Mexican chicken dish that came with rice and black beans. It also came with a side of corn tortillas. My guy absolutely loved this. He loves peppers! It was packed with red and green peppers. The salsa here is divine! It's different than any Mexican restaurant I have been to. All of the sauces were tasty. Horchata was refreshing and they have several aquas on the menu to choose from. They do not offer outdoor seating during the winter months right now due to no heaters. However, it's so clean and the staff made sure we were more than 6 feet apart. It's a smaller restaurant with about 4-5 tables and we felt very safe. I also loved how nicely they decorated. We did get a ticket for the meter (we thought it was after 7pm no meter coming from NYC but we were wrong so if you aren't familiar, pay the meter) we were just so excited to have our tacos. It was sad to get a ticket but after a good meal, it wasn't as bad.
Such a cute little spot. Great friendly servers. Clean restaurant. Complimentary salsa with chips were fresh and delicious. And the vegetarian options were very flavorful, made with fresh ingredients. Absolutely delicious red and green sauces. Would highly recommend! A delicious local, authentic Mexican restaurant!
I was in the mood for Mexican and wanted to try this spot. I called in my order with a very nice young lady. I ordered the shrimp taco intenso. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. My food was ready and I paid. When I ate the shrimp tacos were ok in taste. The taco itself fell apart easily. It could of used more seasoning. I had an ok experience.
We ordered the Birria Tacos. Their Birria Tacos are the best ones I've tried so far. The broth was so delicious, I just wanted to drink it! We also got their Milanesa Torta (chicken cutlet). Very tasty as well. It tasted like they grilled their cheese that goes in the sandwich? Nonetheless it was very good. The chicken cutlet was huge. Definitely a monster sandwich. We tried the Tostadas with enchilada (spicy pork) and al pastor. These were just ok.
This is a fabulous new taco spot. It's near my job so I'm sure I will be frequenting it regularly. The food and service was great, and the restaurant was very clean. The interior is on the smaller side, but there is also an outdoor seating area. I cannot wait to make another visit, as I am sure all of the menu options are nothing, but delicious.
I was looking for a nearby taco joint by edgewater and found taco Intenso, a fairly new place with 1 review. My girlfriend liked the name so we decided to give it a try and we did not regret it at all. They seated us behind their store where they had a small outdoor dining area. The food and service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and kind. We ordered the taco Intenso and vegetable burrito. I got 4 burritos - 2 al pastors and 2 cecina. I love tacos in general and this one was different. They added bean paste which added a new taste that I never had before (the lady said that's why it's "Intenso.") The vegetable burrito was good and filling. Overall, my friend and I enjoyed our stay here and will come back to fill our taco cravings.

These are some great, yummy authentic tacos. I have ordered from Taco Intenso on multiple occasions but for pick up. I always call ahead of time and by the time I arrive, they already have my order ready for me. Literally this is the perfect place to order from when you are in the mood for some delicious tacos. The staff is also super friendly and the price point is great. What a steal! I will definitely be order from here again and again, whether it is for lunch or dinner.
I found this place via Yelp while looking for a new taco spot. I ended up getting the 4x Tacos Intensos, 2 Al pastor and 2 chorizo. The tacos were solid, really good tacos with a good amount of protein. Washed it down with a bottle of Coca cola ($3). Ok so I guess this place wasn't as good as we had expected, based on the hype of the reviews BUT it wasn't bad either, worth the try. We did enjoy their chicken tacos and Mexican Chicken Quesadilla over the Carne Asada tacos, which was to a surprise! The carne Asada tacos lacked some flavor, like they didn't have the 'ting' you expect from an authentic taco... I did also feel the Mexican chicken quesadilla, which are 3 big like tacos with queso blanco and cheese made with corn tortillas, also lacked something, the green sauce provided def helped it get a quick kick. Also the horchata was not good, good flavor but too watery, not the typical consistency, but maybe just how they prefer it, to each their own. Overall you should give them a try, you may come out it with a better outcome, who knows. read more

Tacos intensos. 4 tacos with cheese, beans that were almost nonexistent and the meat scarce and no flavor for $13. The flan was rubbery which means it was overcooked for $5. I won't be back. Disappointed. read more
Pastor tacos had no flavor. And, if I had to guess, I'd say that the tortillas they use are store-bought. If they're made in-house, then wow - congrats on making the worst hand-made tortillas I've ever tasted. The birria was so dry that it was a challenge to chew and swallow. We ordered it because I saw some reviews applauding the birria. Those people clearly have low standards or have never had good birria (I encourage you to take a trip to Queens and up your standards). The bland guac for $6 was the a true heist. I've never felt so ripped off in my life. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging $6 for 3 spoonfuls of guac. There are so many taco/birria places popping up in the neighborhood over the past few years. Very few are great and some are good/decent, but this one is a huge miss. read more

was craving tacos with my husband and decided to stop by here... the food looked great and the decor was nice. I could not finish the food because it wasn't good at all!!! I literally was eating the tacos so we won't send back the plate untouched... our server was veryy kind and respectful but the tacos were very bland no flavor, even tho it looked packed with flavor. I will never come back here and I had hight hopes for it. read more

Loved my visit to taco intenso! The food and service were great. I like to eat a more plant based diet; this is by far one of the best vegetarian burritos I have had in the area. The indoor seating was closed due to COVID-19; however, there was also a seating area in the back which was decorated with lights. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

AWESOME birria tacos! I took off a star because I was kind of excited to try the fruit-flavored agua frescas but they only had horchata and jamaica available. Regardless, they give HUGE portions of birria consommé so I'm making some rice to go with the rest of it for dinner! read more

This place is definitely the hidden gem. If you want REAL mexican foods with affordable price and great service, you MUST try this place. Their foods were amazingly taste, all the salsas were fresh and well made. Local restaurant but way better than big chain restaurant. We had Intenso Tacos, guacamole, Tostadas and Enchiladas!! Their Enchiladas salsa was awesome!!! read more

The food was decent but nothing to write home about. I got steak tacos and chicken enchiladas. The enchiladas were good, but the rice had a strange cinnaminny flavor to it. The tacos only have a single tortilla so they all ripped apart when I tried holding them. There are better spots IMO. read more
