Tacos and grilled veggies
Irma F.

Anytime we are in Tijuana, Taco Nazo is a must. Even order it to our Airbnb. It is worth it. It is always jam packed and lively... so be prepared to wait. They have a variety of meats. I've tired the carne asada(grilled steak), lengua (tongue), adobado(marinated pork) , buche, suadero, and tripa (tripe). I will say my favorite are the adobado, suadero and lengua. Soo good. Cooked perfectly. I usually go for the vampiros. Basically a corn tortilla (not fried) but grilled until perfectly crunchy with layers of cheese and meats. I like to ask for a side of grilled onions, nopales (cactus), and radish. Their sauces and salsas are really good. Just be careful of the spice level of some. Definitely recommend.

The tacos were so good. I tried the birria tacos and a birria quesadilla. I would of tried more but when I took a bite of the birria tacos, I just had to have more. The tacos were juicy, and crispy. My daughter thought the were spicy, but I thought it was just the right amount of heat. There's a closer restaurant, but we put in the wrong address and went to here. The other taconazo is closer to the down town area. The service was prompt. They accept card and dollars as well. They do not allow you to split the bill as per signs around. Have fun in TJ!

A must have when you are in TJ. Great customer service !! Parking is a challenge. But it's worth it.

So happy to have stumbled across this place on a random trip to TJ. Easily some of the best tacos I have ever eaten.

My favorite taco spot in TJ. Their adobada is so good. Their crema is unreal! I want to lather it over my body. Jajaja. My friend and I come in here a couple times a month. I usually get adobada queso tacos. Their lengua is really amazing as well. I've had the birria, Nápoles, frijoles, carne, their quesadillas are really good too. Everything is on point They have some bottled horchata and other drinks in the cooler. No alcohol. Marianna is the best !

Adobado tacos.......mmmmmmmm!

Ordered Uber Eats here.....had 5 tacos adobada with pineapple and guac.....topped it off with agua de pepino .....it was excellent!! Ordered a second time: tacos de birria, suadero, chorizo, y asada. I also ordered pinto beans, horchata, y agua de pepino/limon/chia. I liked the birria tacos the best; they were soooo moist and flavorful. Everything tastes excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. Prices here are really fair....27 pesos for a taco?! C'mon...almost not fair to them....but a deal for me. Look at the picture of my order/receipt! I will order again today before heading back to Cali.

I wasn't even hungry since I already ate dinner, but my new friend asked if we wanted to get some tacos, so of course we said yes! I looked for a taqueria nearby, but he said he wanted take us to the one he frequents. When you enter, you can see the guy carving the adobada meat and other workers grilling meats, etc. I wanted to sit at the bar to see all the action! We ordered a bunch of tacos with everything and a horchata for me. They give you a plate of veggies and there was a variety of spicy salsas next to us. The adobada was my favorite- it was really good and full of flavor! I was surprised my drink came in a bottled container. It was a little too sweet and not enough cinnamon for me. The carne asada meat looked so good, that I just ordered that by itself. It was a little salty, but really tender. Service was extremely prompt and very friendly! They open really late at night, so if you're feeling spontaneous, it's worth a drive past the border, especially since there was no line coming back.

Adobada taco with onion and cilantro

Had a quick trip to TJ and ordered food to go. The adobada tacos were phenomenal. I ordered them several different ways but enjoyed them most with just onions and cilantro. The meat was very juicy and flavorful. I could eat them daily. Glad I was able to try a good taco while here.

Great place to eat some good tacos. I think price is a lil high but the tacos were well worth it.

This place has pretty good tacos. Not a huge fan of the sauce they put on the taco al pastor. But everything else is really good

Unfortunately, I found the birria tacos to be adequate at best and would not choose to have them again.

Vintage Tijuana spot here! Las Ahumaderas has for decades been one of the better (top 3-5, arguably…read more#1) spots in TJ for tacos - highly recommended by tourists and locals alike. Las Ahumaderas is a collection of 5-6 taquerias on one side street off Blvd. Agua Caliente, one of the main thoroughfares in TJ. The taquerias offer very solid, relatively cheap tacos and tend to stay open until super late at night (often until 4 am). Las Ahumaderas is famously nicknamed "Taco Alley" and gained some international recognition after being featured one of Anthony Bourdain's travel and food shows. I've been several times but last stopped by Las Ahumaderas in September. The most popular spot there (and my personal favorite) is Las Tres Salsas - would highly recommend checking out that taqueria first if you've never been. The most highly regarded tacos here are the adobada (pork) tacos (my personal favorite as well). Ordered two adobada tacos, one suadero (cow belly) taco, and a Sprite. The nice thing about the food and drink at Ahumaderas is that a lot of the basic items are priced the same - each taco and the sprite were 45 pesos (around $2.50 USD) each. The tacos were all well-portioned, tasty, and filling (as usual). One thing a lot of tourists don't know is Las Tres Salsas has two levels, with the second level sometimes having a decent, relaxing view and atmosphere depending on the time of day. So I ordered and ate on the second floor (ordered from the server for that floor). Cash (dollars or pesos) are by far the most common method of payment but credit cards are also accepted at Las Tres Salsas and I think the other taquerias at Ahumaderas as well. If you don't speak Spanish there's usually someone at the register who speaks enough English to get by though the server I had that afternoon happened to speak very good English. Right after Las Tres Salsas I went to Tacos El Paisano, one of the other taquerias in the establishment. Ordered 1 asada (steak) taco, 1 cabeza (cow's head) taco, and a Fresca soda. Like Las Tres Salsas, all of the items were 45 pesos each. The tacos here were also good, though not as good as Las Tres Salsas; both of the tacos fell apart a bit due to being slightly soggy (though again they were good). I'm a picky eater but there are a wide variety of tacos, quesadillas, and other items to try between the handful of taquerias at Ahumaderas. Las Ahumaderas is about a 13-15 minute walk down Agua Caliente from Telefonica Gastro Park, another excellent foodie location in TJ. Must visit if you've never been before!
