You really should give this place a chance - the pricing is affordable and they give you nice sized portions....but the best thing about Tacolicious...is that their taco meat tastes great. The lunch special is 3 tacos of your choice, rice and beans for 7.25 or 7.85 with tax (drinks are extra). I recommend the barbacoa and carnitas tacos. We were coming back from the airport and we wanted something to eat. Not sure what we wanted, seeing this place in a nice shopping center, we thought to just try it. I would say after going, that it hit the spot. Walking in, the ambiance(if you could say that) was chill, and the cashier was helpful and patient with our order. He even showed us some picture slides on the TV above him. The tables were 'dyed' in multiple colors like the rainbow, keeping our mind off of the cramped picnic table that we chose wrong(we could have picked a bigger table that fit more people). Anyway, when the food got here, and it was fast, my burrito was great, but a little plain, so I had to add lettuce, tomato, and guac, on every bite. The other dishes we ordered were good too, but the only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because they got one of our orders wrong. We ordered 1 chicken, 1 beef, and 1 pork taco, but they only gave us 2 beef, and one pork. On top of that the beef was stringy and stuck in your teeth. Aside of that, I really enjoyed this place, and maybe it is worth more stars, so you should try it to change my mind. read more

Love love LOVE this place. Its very close to home and it's only 8 dollars for this huge box of food. In the picture I got spicy seasoned pork, barbacola, and al pastor, and double rice. The meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly, and you have delicious hot sauces. The meal also comes with grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño which I love. Came by here with some co workers because it had good reviews and we were skeptical at first because they were not too busy and it looked like a bunch of benches inside a restaurant. We were so pleasantly surprised! The interior is great with signs that are fun and the food menu is simple to understand with jarritos drink options and fountain soda. I'm vegetarian and was happy to learn that the refried beans are vegetarian friendly while the charro are not. The tacos are on small corn tortillas and fresh cilantro lime topping. The plate was a great amount of food for lunch. As we sat at the picnic tables, the line was almost out the door with people waiting to order their food; we must have missed the rush and that's why it seemed empty! My coworkers got the Barbacoa and chicken tacos and enjoyed them. Another got the steak quesadillas. The queso was tasty and wRm and the chips were crispy. The one warning is the salsa. They have spray bottles at table side. Be warned! It's so spicy!! Try some before dousing your food. But it was deliciously spicy and I think they nailed the flavors. Great place for lunch if you're in the area. Tacos felt authentic and home made. Next time will try the guacamole. They have options for enchiladas, 1 pound burritos, quesadillas, and tacos. Each order comes with chopped onions, cilantro, grilled jalepeno and grilled peppers, so there's plenty of stuff to spread on your tacos. Of all of the meat options, my favorites are the lengua and carnita, with the al pastor at a close second. Unfortunately, I tried to push my luck with the torta...and while it was very sizable, there weren't enough meat to balance out the carb monster and felt a little too mayo--y. First, I REALLY do not like coming to a place where there is no backs to your seat. There are only picnic tables to eat off of. Really nice picnic tables, but still no backs to the seats to rest against. Not a deal breaker, just an annoyance. And secondly, no chips to snack on before your meal. You have to buy them. Tacos!!!! Breakfast Tacos are the best here and their regular tacos. Oh and their Char Beans. It's made with jalapeños and bacon. It's a must try. They are not open on weekends which kind of sucks and not open all day. I wish they had better hrs and open on the weekends.. I think they would get more customers to come in. The place is clean. But if you order is to go and if you ask for extra hot sauce they will give you attitude. I give it a 4 star for their food, but when it comes to service it is a 2.5 so overall a 3 star. read more

Kind of in the middle of nowhere, relative to most Dallas area places, but this little taco place has some delicious meat! I tried the tres tacos platter. The tacos I chose were the Carnitas, Barbacoa, and Al Pastor. The carnitas was moist, the barabacoa had amazing flavor, and the al pastor was solid, but 3rd best of the 3. The red and green sauces are flavorful, but not too hot. The Spanish rice was average, but not bad (not dry like some places), and the refried beans were decent. I would go here just for the tacos, but definitely want to try their other varieties. I think 3 is a good amount of tacos if you have an average appetite. They are not very big, but they do not skimp on the meat. Definitely give unsuspecting place a try, if you're in the area. read more
