Al Pastor Taco Decent, definitely not their best taco. Definitely favor their breakfast tacos!

Margarita
Dez V.

Margarita was strong and tasty. The cowboy taco was delicious and super flavorful. I can't remember the name of the shrimp taco I had but it was very good. The elote was different but tasty. Had onions and something crunchy in it. Service was super friendly and fast. Inside and outside seating. Very spacious. I'll return

Great breakfast tacos! Super flavorful! Tons of filling! Fairly cheap but service was pretty slow. I was in town visiting but will keep them on my radar to try again the next time I'm in the area!

OH MY GOD this place was INCREDIBLE! The food was incredible in every way it was a nice size and for a to go order the food arived well packaged and still very warm! The habanero sauce they had was SPICY in the best way and mixed perfect with the cowboy and Mexico City tacos! Will absolutely be going back for more

Salad with steak and the best jalapeno ranch
Kayla M.

The food here is good! Love the steak salad with the jalapeño ranch. That alone needs to be bottled up and sold! Also, I love the queso. I get the queso with the meat. It's really good. I've always picked up my food and never dined in. But everyone is always so nice and cheerful at the counter. 10/10 for me.

Love, love, love this place! Their menu is allergen labeled, and if you have any questions their online allergen menu has everything listed super clearly!! Our food was delicious and service was fast!! Lots of gluten free and dairy free offerings!! We got the rice bowl, the Mexico City chicken taco on corn tortilla, the spacecity taco (w no queso fresca) on corn tortilla, rice and beans (which was fire), and dairy free almond horchata!!! They have dairy free horchata and it tastes like a honey bun!! It's so yummy and not overly sweet!! The aesthetic of the place is super cool too! Not crazy expensive either. We can't wait to come back! The area it's in is cute and walkable and has a lot of other restaurants and shops to look through!

The food here is only surpassed by the marvelous staff! The food is fresh and delicious and consistently prepared. Always perfect! Love sitting outside and watching the sunrise! Thanx for opening early and for having such clean facilities!

The special of the day is the brisket elway. I Totally recommend it.

Super busy as always but the whole crew always moving as fast as bees and serving food with a smile. Even in the chaos making sure the tables are clean when one opens up. Tried to brisket El Rey today and absolutely recommended as well. The brisket super tender and oh my gosh just all the flavors they put together a phenomenal. Always buzzing with a happy crowd.

Solid breakfast tacos--super fresh and flavorful! The bacon avocado combo hit just right, and the steak and egg one was loaded and satisfying. Bonus points for the sauce options--tons of variety and all fire. Definitely coming back!

Other than the price this place could be perfect. I'm not sure why I just now found out about this place. Great food! Great chips and quesso. Incredible tasting, great quality ingredients. Order at the counter but good service.

Excellent street tacos, eat on, take home or delivery in a specific radius. Love the el Popeye for breakfast.

Some of the best tacos in Dallas. I've tried almost everything on their menu and haven't found something I didn't like!

Probably some of the freshest tacos I've ever had. Generously portioned tacos and full of flavor; you can literally taste the freshness.

They're kind of pricey per taco but The salmon tacos have yet to fail me. So good. I'll be back to try their breakfast tacos soon.

Our event coordinator had already been in contact with each hotel's sales team regarding room blocks, but my fiancé and I wanted to personally see the properties before recommending them to 30-40 hotel room blocks. Although we arrived after sales office hours, Liz at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She walked us through the restaurants commonly used for private events, explained the renovation timeline, and invited us to take our time exploring before returning to the front desk to view a standard guest room. Unfortunately, our experience changed when another employee, who later identified himself as Clayton, a manager, stepped in. It appeared he had been listening to our conversation but had not introduced himself. He abruptly informed us that we would not be able to view a room. We explained that our event coordinator was already working with the sales manager regarding room blocks and pricing, and that we were simply trying to ensure we felt confident recommending the hotel to our family and friends. Despite understanding the situation, he remained unwilling to accommodate the request. His only suggestion was that we purchase a room if we wanted to see one. For us, this interaction spoke volumes. Hospitality isn't just about beautiful rooms--it's about making potential guests feel welcomed and valued. If this was the experience we received as prospective clients considering multiple wedding events and dozens of room nights, it gave us pause about what our guests might experience. As a result, we will likely to move our room block, welcome dinner, Saturday event, and Sunday brunch where we're met with warmth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrive. The Joule is undeniably a beautiful property, but customer service plays a major role in our decision-making. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our business was neither appreciated nor wanted.

I hit the jackpot gem with Bucket and Rope. This place is just off the main areas in downtown near the Dallas Farmer's Market. The patrons are mostly locals who know what's up. The layout is spacious but welcoming. I sat at the bar as I was solo, but there were plenty of great seating options including comfortable couches. The patio is currently being re-done, but will be perfect for the upcoming fall season. The menu offerings were plentiful and varied, but there are specials and rotating options as well. Alexa at the bar greeted me, and went over the menu and specials with me. She did a great job making my cocktails and giving casual conversation throughout. I ordered the off-menu Steak Frites with broccolini and fries. The steak was charred perfectly on the outside and moist and at the lovely medium temp on the inside. The broccolini was on point with just a bit of spice from the red pepper. Fries were shoestring style, and they did it right with that perfect crisp on the outside and soft inside. I learned that Thursdays are paella night! What a great surprise in downtown Dallas! When in the city again, this will absolutely be my go to place for cocktails and great food.

We let him know upfront that we were on a HARD stop--we had a flight to catch in about an hour and a half--so we asked how we should pace our meal. He said, "Okay, I got it," and he absolutely delivered! We ate, enjoyed ourselves, and still had time to spare. Excellent service! Now, the food! We had the shrimp deviled eggs--EXCELLENT! We also ordered the lobster mac & cheese, fried catfish, pork chops, black-eyed peas cooked with smoked turkey over rice, collard greens, smoked oysters, grilled shrimp appetizer, wild berry lemon drops, and strawberry lemonade. Everything was delicious. Not one disappointing dish on the table. Then came the bill...$450 for four people, with no dessert. That was definitely a bit of a shock. We realized gratuity had already been added, which helped explain the total, but it still felt steep and took a little of the shine off an otherwise great experience. The food was amazing, the service was on point, and Cam did exactly what we needed him to do. But $450 for four people with no dessert? That part was hard to swallow--and it wasn't the food!

My schedule finally aligned and allowed me to be able to visit the Dallas location. I went for dinner during a weeknight. There were a decent amount of people seated and at the bar. The vibes were cool. The staff were friendly and there was no wait for a table. I ordered the southern fries catfish with grits and greens. Everything was just "okay" to me for the price. Again, I'm from Alabama. The greens were salty and I had to doctor up the grits. If you're not used to southern cooking, I would say definitely try it. If you are used to southern cooking, go for the vibes based on my experience. I'm going to give it another try and to sample more menu items when I'm near another location because I've heard great things about the food and I always give worthy places more than one chance. I'll do another review once I try it again.
