It a new season on the Mall in Brunswick and I have to say my first Taco of the season did not disappoint . It was wonderful to be greeted by your first name and to chat about our winter. I was most excited to introduce my mom who was visiting from Georgia to the best Taco's in Maine. The tacos were amazing as usual Chef Tai is a master of his craft. We are excited for our Saturday tradition of Tacos to have returned. If you are looking for a great Taco , friendly service and a owner that truly wants to prepare you a great meal. Than look no further Taco the town is the place to stop by. If is a Saturday morning you just might see me enjoying my Saturday morning Fish Taco with extra crema.

Haven't been here in about a year so I thought I would give an update. Typically this food truck is located downtown but they are also one of the food trucks that visits a local brewery (Flight Deck) in the evenings, etc. This place is still an excellent choice for good, fresh Mexican food. This time I ordered three tacos - pork, chicken and beef- and all were very good. The pork is definitely the spiciest, the beef the mildest and sweetest, and I found the chicken to be the best balance of flavors. Everyone I went with was very pleased with their food.... plus the lines were not nearly as long as they are when they are serving lunch on the mall. Definitely will be back!!

    Look for the green truck.

This unassuming, green taco truck, on the mall in downtown Brunswick has good food. The tacos are served in soft corn tortilla shells. The salsa gave it the right flavor. I didn't miss cheese or sour cream. Flavors came together in an amalgamation of splendid taste. The staff was friendly and food was quick. This was a great, quick, take-out experience. They take card over five dollars, that is a plus.

El Comote taco on left and Al Pastor taco on right with a side of guacamole. Yummy

I have been waiting awhile to try out these local tacos. I pass them when I head to work as they bring their truck to Maine Street and it has been a 8:00 am tease for a taco. When I arrived on a beautiful Friday around 12:45, I was greeted by a line. Agh, I loath lines! Yet, I have heard only good things about this place, so I was ready to grin and bear it. The line of about 15 in front only took 10 minutes! Not bad. I ordered from a lovely and patient woman and then stood with the other customers for my food. 8 minutes to be exact is how long I waited for my two pretty tacos. Again, not bad on time. Both tacos were pretty good, I can't say they were mind blowing, but they did a good job on what they needed to do. I enjoyed both and felt full after (always a plus). I look forwarded to trying a burrito next time, I heard they were two meals in one. Yay!

YUM!!!! Had to try this food truck after several friends raved about it - and they were all right!!!! I went all out and tried one each of the haddock, pork, beef - all delicious, though the beef may be my favorite... I'll have to go back soon to make sure! There was a line (always a good sign for a food truck!) but it moved quickly, and I had my order within 5 minutes. Worth finding a parking space on Maine St in Brunswick for sure!!!

One Pescado Ensenada and one Al Pastor ... both delicious in their own way!

Best service and the workers were amazing! The food was delicious and I definitely recommend Taco the Town over Taco Bell.

Mr. Tuna is one of three Open Table Exclusive restaurants in Maine, so most every local Chase Reserve card member uses their twice yearly $150 credit here, which explains my visit. The people watching from the outdoor tables on Middle Street must be some of the best in the city. You could easily sip a glass of sake (the dreamy clouds was...dreamy) while eating a toro maki roll and marveling at the tourists waiting in a two hour Eventide line. But we ordered the lemongrass fried tofu salad, salmon toro sashimi and 3 maki rolls, including the green crab special. Everything tasted fresh and excellent with only Yosaku in the same league for Old Port sushi. Of course Yosaku is much more authentic Japanese than Mr. Tuna, though Mr. Tuna is more fun. Like most trendy Portland restaurants, lunch for two with a couple drinks each is $200 all in (get that Chase card!). Still, this is a huge, inventive menu with a great bar program and is one of the surprisingly better summertime outdoor seating options.

We specifically stopped here as we saw that Hootenany Bread Company was going to be there. I'm glad we got there right around 10am as there was already a line starting to form in front of his stand. We were able to buy 4 plain bagels and a couple of chocolate croissants to enjoy for the day and they were amazing! I can't wait to see him again. Every vendor there had people in front of their stands and hearing them all engage in conversation about their business was so nice. There is such a human element to this market. Felt more people focus than business focused. The grounds were clean and each vendor was placed within a reasonable distance. Didn't have to walk too far to the next and you didn't feel like you were on top of people either. Parking can be a challenge if you can't walk far, especially with the main street construction happening near Bull Moose/Tontine Mall (September 2025). But if you can find parking and you enjoy farmers markets, I would highly recommend this market.
