I called and the owner was SO sweet and went above and beyond. He informed us they had sold us but he had just enough ingredients for a few more tacos. He invited us to his personal address where he made FRESH tacos on his Saturday. 9 tacos for $30... can't beat that. read more

What's with the extreme amount of cumin? Wow, so close. I really wanted to like this, since it was what seemed to be the first decent Mexican I've had since leaving California. That was, until I got my order. Al Pastor doesn't have cumin in it, let alone the three pounds that were added. Where was the pineapple? This is strictly the invention of ignorant white people, who have likely only ever eaten at Chevy's. The food was inedible. The burrito and two tacos went right in the trash. There was a waste of $20. That's for a miniature burrito and two underwhelming tacos. Yes, that was $20. Also, why can no one on the east coast locate more then a 12" tortilla? You are charging way too much for a burrito on a 12" tortilla. If not for the cumin, you'd have about an $8 burrito, based on the small size. With the cumin, not worth it at all. You selections are severely lacking. Sweet potatoes? Really? Those are used for deserts in Mexico, not as burrito filler. Where's the carne asada? Chili Verde? Carnitas? This was a swing and a miss all around. Seriously folks, Mexican food isn't supposed to taste like this. This might fool the locals, but anyone from west of Conway knows better. It a new season on the Mall in Brunswick and I have to say my first Taco of the season did not disappoint . It was wonderful to be greeted by your first name and to chat about our winter. I was most excited to introduce my mom who was visiting from Georgia to the best Taco's in Maine. The tacos were amazing as usual Chef Tai is a master of his craft. Haven't been here in about a year so I thought I would give an update. Typically this food truck is located downtown but they are also one of the food trucks that visits a local brewery (Flight Deck) in the evenings, etc. This place is still an excellent choice for good, fresh Mexican food. This time I ordered three tacos - pork, chicken and beef- and all were very good. The pork is definitely the spiciest, the beef the mildest and sweetest, and I found the chicken to be the best balance of flavors. Everyone I went with was very pleased with their food.... plus the lines were not nearly as long as they are when they are serving lunch on the mall. Definitely will be back!! read more

I've been sitting on this review for far too long... Taco The Town has definitely come up in the ranks of food trucks in Brunswick. It rivals the line found daily at Danny's (the hotdog truck). The food is delicious: flavorful, well-cooked, and great portions. I am fond of the carne burrito, but I have heard wonderful things about their tacos and the quesadillas. Flavors are authentic! Prices seem high, but I believe they use more local ingredients (?) so I can forgive it. A burrito and horchata tends to run around $11.00. Oh! And the horchata is delicious! I wish they had more sizes so I could get more of this tasty beverage!! The service tends to be a bit slower than I'd like, but I chalk it up to "made to order." It becomes tedious for those who are on lunch breaks, but when it comes down to it, the wait is worth it. I highly recommend anyone in Brunswick for the summer season to try out Taco the Town!! Ok...it's a food truck. Some of the best food I have eaten in recent memory have come from them. This one truly has it going on. Stopped by on the way home after errands to this lovely little stretch of grassy park known as "the mall" on Maine St in Brunswick to try it out. Nice reviews online so why not? The verdict: WOW! Had a craving for a fish taco and decided to go all out and go for a fish burrito. Fresh, succulent haddock, beans, rice, lettuce, pico, cream, sauce...it was a very heavy burrito and worth every calorie. They dont skimp on filling and it was a meal. Totally delicious and highly recommended. Hubby also wanted to try something different and went with the beef quesidilla...another winner! The beef was cooked with just the right amount of spice, melty cheese and pico. Served with a side of homemade salsa that has a mild kick and sour cream. We got a little side of guacamole for dipping and it was very good also. Along with the burritos and quesidillas, the menu includes salads, tacos and even a kids menu for little hands. No picnic tables but there are benches in the park and plenty of grass where a blanket or chairs can be set up to enjoy the Maine summer sun. This truck is located just down the street from the beautiful Bowdoin College campus and a few steps down the street there are quaint little shops. Parking is free around the park and plenty of shade for a nice relaxing afternoon siesta. Give this place a try, you will leave happy and full. read more

This unassuming, green taco truck, on the mall in downtown Brunswick has good food. The tacos are served in soft corn tortilla shells. The salsa gave it the right flavor. I have been waiting awhile to try out these local tacos. I pass them when I head to work as they bring their truck to Maine Street and it has been a 8:00 am tease for a taco. When I arrived on a beautiful Friday around 12:45, I was greeted by a line. Agh, I loath lines! Yet, I have heard only good things about this place, so I was ready to grin and bear it. The line of about 15 in front only took 10 minutes! Not bad. I ordered from a lovely and patient woman and then stood with the other customers for my food. 8 minutes to be exact is how long I waited for my two pretty tacos. Again, not bad on time. Both tacos were pretty good, I can't say they were mind blowing, but they did a good job on what they needed to do. I enjoyed both and felt full after (always a plus). I look forwarded to trying a burrito next time, I heard they were two meals in one. Yay! read more

I went all out and tried one each of the haddock, pork, beef - all delicious, though the beef may be my favorite... I'll have to go back soon to make sure! Brunswick doesn't really have a food truck scene, but we are so lucky to have Taco The Town! The line is usually long but moves quickly, so don't let that discourage you. I've been here a few times but today really hit the mark for me. I got an al pastor (pork) and a pescado ensanada (fish) taco- they were easily twice the size that I remembered them being but just as fresh and tasty. The fish taco has a crunchy slaw on top that goes so well with the fish and it's nice to be able to get fish that isn't blackened which is what I usually find around here. The pork was juicy and spicy (glad I asked for some house made crema to be added, it balanced it out very nicely) with really fresh salsa on top. My boyfriend tried the beef and pork with added guac (so creamy and light, btw) and loved them both. I'm not a corn tortilla fan but theirs are warmed nicely and don't take away from the flavors of the fillings. Everything is decently priced for the quality of ingredients and the people working the truck really put a lot of effort into what their serving their customers. I'm going to a wedding soon that they are catering and I can't wait for everyone attending to discover what a gem this place is! read more

Basically, my plan is to eat everything on their menu by the end of the summer. Not for science, mind you, nor for reviewing (what do I know about food?) but because it's delicious. You should travel to Brunswick to eat these tacos (frankly, Brunswick has a better thought out food truck scene than that "other" city to the south). I will say: their meat offerings are far superior to their veggie options, but I have a feeling that will improve over time. Their carnitas tacos, however, are among the best I've had. Some of the best Mexican style cuisine I've had since moving from SoCal. Certainly near the top in Maine where it's tough to find good Mexi. I've tried all the tacos (except veggie) and burritos. Fish tacos are superb with a tasty Baja kind of sauce. The pork is marinated with nice and spicy coating. The carne/steak is as good as any carne asada I've tried. Nice and lean meat with just the right amount of heat and cilantro. The chicken is good too, loaded with flavor. It gets pretty busy there at lunch hour., especially on farmers market days. Randomly stopped in Brunswick on way to Bar Harbor and boy was I surprised at the authenticity of this amazing taco spot that tasted more like a hotspot in Austin TX than a roadside spot near a New England farmers market. The al pastor was so good that I involuntarily whooped out loud! And the pescado taco did Maine proud. Make sure to ask for the housemade hot sauce that they keep behind the counter. Seriously... I used to live in a state full of culture, diversity, and excellent food! I'm here because of a job transfer and I can honestly say this is not authentic at all. I could make something better than their "creations" at home. When I got my quesadilla it was okay but the ingredients didn't taste fresh, my horchata was watered down, and my tomatillo sauce wasn't even tomatillo sauce lol.
