It's a small food truck located on the hill near the parking lot at the park. Parkings are available at the park itself. They offer few options for lobster rolls as well as other sandwiches like pulled pork and drinks as well as whoopie pie. We got 6oz maine style and wasabi mayo lobster rolls and blueberry soda and a whoopie pie. Lobster rolls were overflowing with lobster meat and paired with nicely buttered and toasted buns. They were both delicious but i actually liked the wasabi mayo version better personally.Blueberry soda was refreshing which is a brand i've had before from Maine that i like. Whoopie pie was pretty good even though i've never been that into them whenever i had them which is few. Service good and very quick. Our order came out within like 3 minutes. WOW i'm so impressed by these lobster rolls. We stopped by this food truck on the way to cape elizabeth and it's a must try!! I'm usually a warm roll fan, but the cold ones were perfect for the hot day. It took ~10 minutes for my roll of come out. Their sodas are also so refreshing to drink with your roll. When visiting Maine I had to do my research and this spot consistently comes up as one of the best lobster rolls in Maine so we had to try it. I had been here once before and remember it being good but not a stand out but had to give it another go. It's a small food truck in the same park as Portland Head lighthouse so the location cannot be beat, on a clear day it's the perfect place to enjoy a lobster rolls. They have picnic tables and the park has plenty of tables and benches where you can eat as well. We got the picnic and Maine style 6 oz lobster rolls, with some potato salad and a grilled cheese for my toddler. I love that they tell you the amount of lobster you are paying for and the roll truly comes piled with lobster on their buttery toasted buns. However, the lobster itself was not as sweet as other places I've been, not sure how that happened and not sure I can blame the location for this but the lobster tasted bland? Which was a bit of a bummer. Additionally my husband's first bite (and second) had significant pieces of shell in them, which is not great. I really liked this location. To put it simply I would come back. You drive into basically a park and you pay for parking in the lot. Was there a line? Yes. Did it move pretty fast? Faster than Reds. I think we waited like an hour. Getting down to the nitty gritty. Clam chowder - probably the creamiest of the chowders we had in Maine. It wasn't my favorite but others liked it. I thought personally it lacked the flavor of the others I had. Grilled cheese - this was probably the prettiest most classically perfect grilled cheese I've ever bought. It was great and dipping it into the clam chowder made it a 10/10. Lobster roll - we got the Connecticut which is just warm butter. Flavor wise I was told it's on par with reds. They preferred this bun over reds but reds has more meat. Overall a 10/10. Potato salad - 4/5. It's slightly sweet. I just didn't like the onions in it but that is personal preference View - 10/10. When I think about having a lobster roll on the coast of Maine this is exactly what I think about. Overall I think everyone should go here at least once. read more

While visiting Portland, we wanted to try a few lobster rolls, and this spot was one we were especially excited about after hearing so many great things on social media and even from Somebody Feed Phil. We ordered the 4.5 oz Connecticut lobster rolls with warm butter and wow, they exceeded expectations! The rolls were generously filled with perfectly cooked lobster, buttery and tender, and the bread itself was just right. We wish we had time to try some of their other rolls, but this one alone left a fantastic impression. A helpful tip: while there are only a few tables in front of the truck, you can easily take your food to the nearby beach area where there are plenty of picnic tables. I did my roll picnic style because I am from the south and there are few things better than a fried sandwich with coleslaw Service was fast and courteous. Its a food truck by the famous Portland Lighthouse with a super long line, for good reason. It moves fairly quickly - the order taker is real efficient. Most people knew what they wanted so they didn't hold up the line. The lobster roll was fantastic - lot of lobster, juicy with butter. The grilled cheese was, well, grilled cheese. I had a chance to visit Bite into Maine when I was checking out the Lighthouse and oh my this is a food truck nearby and I heard that they serve really yummy lobster rolls. The cool thing here is they have different types of rolls and I ended up getting the Connecticut one with melted butter. The day we went it was rainy but thankfully the truck was still open. I've been to Maine many times, but only twice in the past decade or so. On my most recent visit, my flight was delayed, leaving me with a couple extra hours to spend in this gorgeous state. Up until that point, on a short visit, I hadn't really done much Maine stuff. And my Maine (wo)man took this as an opportunity to show me the quintessential Maine morning: lobster roll + lighthouse. We drove up inside Fort Williams Park, and rolled up to this trailer atop a hill, where they are serving up truly excellent lobster rolls. I don't know if it's blasphemy that I prefer the "Connecticut" preparation (topped with warm butter instead of the mayo salad), but I do love that: 1. They cater to the content generation by giving you a heads-up before they pour the butter over the top of the roll. 2. This is one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. 3. I can eat it while staring at a lighthouse by the water on a beautiful fall day. Truly, a wonderful experience, and one everyone should try at least once. If you're coming to see the Head Light you just have to have a lobster roll here, that's the rule. The line was wrapped around the trailer when we joined but it went quick! Pricing seems to be fairly even with other lobster rolls in the area, maybe a bit higher. I got the Connecticut roll with warm butter. I wasn't keeping too close track but I'd estimate the wait was about an hour from ordering to getting the food. Was the lobster roll delicious and packed with giant hunks of lobster meat and coated in a beautiful sheen of mayo? Yes. Was it worth that wait? I dunno. I'd definitely get it again but only if I didn't have to wait that long to inhale. They have CT and ME rolls but also offer flavors like wasabi (I tried a bite of my husband's and appreciated the subtle wasabi taste), chipotle, and curry if you're feeling more adventurous. I managed to accidentally catch the Bite Into Maine food truck on the last day of the season -- lucky me! This food truck could not be more conveniently located for those taking a stroll through Fort Williams park. The truck is parked by several picnic tables with a view of the lighthouse, and the experience of sipping some blueberry soda and chowing down on some clam chowder under a radiant blue sky with that view is enough to warrant a visit. It helps that the food is pretty good, too. I didn't get any lobster, but ordered the grilled cheese (which comes with kettle chips) and a clam chowder. My friends ordered a blueberry soda, clam chowder, and a lobster roll. We were all perfectly happy -- though not blown away -- by the food. The grilled cheese was good and classic; the clam chowder was tasty and clam-forward, though some of the clams were a bit tough. Service was prompt and the food came out relatively quickly.
