STEPH JUDGEMENT: Cool woman-owned coffee shop. I was looking for a coffee place in the area and this came up with high marks. Located on the main drag called Maine St in Brunswick, it was a cozy, welcoming space. I decided on their Earthworm latte--a delicious sweet treat featuring Oreo crumbs. I sat at the bar facing Maine st, watching the midweek traffic pass by and leisurely enjoying my coffee. It looked like a very mom- and kid-friendly space, which made sense after learning that it was a woman-owned business. A bulletin board by the front door had a bunch of flyers tacked on to it, and it seemed like a popular neighborhood hub. A cool small business worth supporting. read more

I came here to replenish my coffee beans, having miscalculated how much to bring on my camping trip. Their beans are from a small local roastery. That matters to me. Time and Tide in Biddeford. Since I was there I had a cup too, because why not. It was decent, but maybe just the slightest bit weak? Or maybe not. Lots of fancier options too but I don't go for those. They have a selection of baked goods. I think they're all from other small local businesses, not made here. I had a lemon blueberry scone with the coffee which was outstanding. Delightfully light in texture, not heavy or greasy, and not overly sweet. Lemony of course and the blueberries were plentiful, tangy, and small. I'd guess they were wild Maine blueberries (frozen of course this being April) but I'm not sure. A maple glaze completed this masterpiece. They didn't forget the chocolate lovers. A very dark enormous brownie called to me but reluctantly I passed. Maybe tomorrow. It annoys me when bakeries don't have any chocolate offerings. From the hand pie selection I chose a Carrot, Leek, and Goat Cheese for later. Also outstanding. The crust was flaky, not dry, subtly buttery, and just the right thickness for the filling which was generous. (It made it all the way to the edges, which many hand pies do not.) Decorated with thyme leaves. The filling was sweet, which I thought was just from the caramelized leeks but I read on the wrapper that sugar is also an ingredient. Just the right amount. The carrots were "rainbow", in several colors, and very pretty. Pretty expensive at $8 but for the size and quality I'm glad I got it. The place is very small but looks like a comfortable place to hang out. A few small tables, walls decorated with painted flowers and vines. The counter people were nice and thanked me for coming in. Customers were mostly engrossed in conversations, not absorbed into their devices. Even though it was just a quick stop for take-out I enjoyed my visit. read more

Fast and friendly service! And such a cute spot! This place is a nice addition to the area and has wonderful curb appeal. They have great quality matcha that is flavorful and does not come sweetened unless you would like to add a flavor or sweetener. This is perfect in my opinion because I want to be able to adjust the sweetness to my liking. I asked for half a pump of vanilla and that was perfect. The only difference I would appreciate is having the option of additional drink sizes (I think the matcha lattes are just one size). read more

Spectacular place in a picturesque town. I stopped by Reverie to pick up an apple chai-der before a long day of shopping in Brunswick. I had never tried before, but now I cannot imagine a trip here without stopping in. I loved the sense of community in the cafe. From all the local flyers, other patrons all talking together despite not knowing each other, and the kind staff. Very cozy space. I highly recommend their special drinks and pastries! A locally-owned, woman-owned coffee shop that intentionally supports a variety of women-owned bakers and artisans that offers an inclusive space and comfortable environment regardless if you're a solo traveler passing through reading a book for a couple hours or a parent needing a moment of peace while your little ones play in a designated safe area? Yes, please. Some thoughts... 1. It's infrequent these days to visit a coffee shop and on your SECOND VISIT have the staff remember you like you're a regular (I go to a local-to-me place in Portland at least once a week and I swear they have no idea who I am despite my incredibly specific order)! The staff is EXCEPTIONAL: kind, knowledgeable, patient, welcoming, approachable, and humorous too! 2. Even though it's a smaaaaaaaaaaaalllll space (a very cozy, intimate 500 sq ft, I think), it genuinely feels like if there was nowhere to sit, and someone was taking up an entire table, it would be totally okay/normal to ask if you could join them. That's a credit to the owner and her staff for creating that kind of community vibe. 3. The bathrooms?! Absolutely stocked with complimentary feminine products AND diapers, baby wipes, etc. Louder for the people in back: this. is. what. community. looks. and. feels. like. They're using a Maine company for their coffee (Time & Tide in Biddeford, I believe), and with it are creating genuinely unique, delicious, memorable specialty lattes. They change with the seasons so don't get too attached, but they may or may not have a "secret menu" and if you know what to ask for they may or may not be able to make you that old favorite. Shout-out to the iced cherry-pistachio latte I recently had; I've never had anything like it before! Also, I really appreciate that they don't *just* have oat milk (unpopular opinion: oats not the best non-dairy option), but almond milk as an option too. Only heart eyes for you, Reverie! read more

Love love love this little coffee shop! I happened to be up in the area this week and I stopped by for a coffee, I got the "welcome to Genovia" and it was so tasty! They have lots of little snacks that you can buy, including homemade crumb bars, Plant protein bars, and other treats. They also sell a lot of goods from local artists within their shop as well, which I love. The vibe is very homey and comfortable, there are a few tables inside, but turnover is pretty quick. They have a couple tables in the front, a little breakfast nook at the window, and some chairs and a place for children to play in the back. It seems they've really thought of everything here. I love the little touches with the plants everywhere and the various coffee mugs hung up on the wall. The staff is super friendly as well. Can't wait to try more of their seasonal flavors! read more

They have a brick and mortar now in downtown Brunswick. I stopped in the other day. I got the green tea and I didn't love it. I wish they had one more tea option (they have 3, none of them appealed to me. The chamomile has licorice and I hate that flavor) The space is cute but tight. They have a nice but tiny kids play area--good for 2yo or under. Most of the baked goods were either GF or vegan. I hope and think they'll do well but really do want another tea option. read more

Stopped in recently to order an iced Americano - three shots, no added water. Cost was $6.75 - just ridiculous. And, to make it worse, the beans were NOT espresso beans. I live locally and go out of my way to support local small businesses, but won't be going here again. read more

Wife and I were passing through downtown Brunswick and wanted a place to grab coffee and a danish. Found this little calm, cozy establishment (the brick and mortar version) and was happy that we did. Staff were very friendly, coffee tasted great (wife had the mocha) and the danishes were delicious and homemade. At one point, someone came in and did not know what to order. The staff asked if they wanted to be "surprised" and asked for iced or a hot version of a drink. Once the concoction was tasted, the person asked it it was on the menu and the staff stated "no, we have a secret menu with different ideas we try before putting them on the menu."
