I ordered four tacos for $1.50 each so total of six dollars for four tacos. Thinking rice and beans wouldn't be that much. I decided to order rice and beans. And a Mexican Coca-Cola. I was done to see my bill for $18.48. There is no signage about the cost of rice and beans nor the cost of the soda. So after looking into it. I realized four dollars for the rice four dollars for the beans and four dollars for the soda so technically for rice and beans in a soda it came up for $12 +6 dollars for the four tacos. This is unbelievable. I definitely will not be coming back if this is how they charge customers. I asked for a menu and I was told there was no menu to look at the prices. Tacos were good because of the tortillas. But the meat was OK very small amount of meat by the way. This is not worth $18.48. Not to mention the service was very put off by me asking about the cost of the rice and beans.

Staff were cool and helped me making a choice, since there are so many options. I hadn't been there before, so trusted their opinion. Came in a cool cup, that I think you can take back to get a discounted refill.... But need to verify that. They have another location in Coachella and I plan on hitting that spot up too, as this one had no seating inside, it is in a local market, kinda of liquor store. I am grateful to be a new customer of theirs, yummo!!

To my surprise I felt like the tacos were totally lacking this time. I wish I took a picture of the one I actually ate I had almost no meat in it. Most of then didn't It was cheese forward with like a tiny sprinkle of meat. Definitely not how we are used to getting them from here. Not only was there barely any meat most of it was either fat or gristle. I'm really hoping this was an off night because unfortunately this is something I definitely don't want again being like that. And for 6 tacos and beans and chips it was 50$ so to have hardly any meat and then gross parts in the tacos it was disappointing

Forget going to a supermarket or even a restaurant for some Mexican food..this is THE SPOT you…read moregotta go to! Came here when it was super hot, and all we wanted was food and chill back in the a/c of my aunt's timeshare. After waiting soooo long at the nearest grocery store for food, I knew this night was going to be bad, especially with the experience at the grocery store. So I told my husband I needed to find another place to revive the night, and like I've said before, when you need help, YOU YELP! Upon checking out Mexican food spots, Tacos Los Olivarez was one of the businesses that were on the search results, and what drew me to it was the number of reviews, stars, and how the place looked. At first, I thought it was a little hole in a wall, but when my maps told me I arrived at my destination, I was a bit confused because it was an abandoned car dealership with a small taco truck right at the corner. What makes this place extraordinary and makes me want to come back whenever I'm in town is the fact that, despite the location, the business is run from a small truck with 6 tables, and the best customer service I've had in a while! The gentlemen in front of the car were greeting customers as if they were in a restaurant, which I've never encountered until today. The business felt very welcoming and on top the food was way better than the markets inside the grocery store! Definitely recommend this place!

Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and care put into the food. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. Walking in, is a trip back to the hole in the wall style restaurants out of "desperado", the movie, and the first thing you notice isn't the view, but the music. It's like you're welcomed by the band themselves of whoever is on the speakers. Ambiance overall was very welcoming and the staff there is super attentive to your needs. It is a seat yourself kinda place and that's exactly what I did. A lot of people also came in to pick up food to go, which also is a good omen for what I was about to expect as far as the quality of the food... as yes, the food: Indeed I wasn't wrong about the omen... I ordered the chicken caldo, and it had an excellent broth base. Then came the lemon for me, a bit of their homemade green salsa, because it was spicy, can't do spicy well... and it hit great. Hearty veggies, and huge pieces of chicken. Accompanied by homemade corn tortillas, a small bowl of rice and a cup of hibiscus leaf juice (agua de Jamaica) it all was a meal worthy of a king. I left a very happy camper. Not hungry for almost the whole day and didn't have anything better to eat for the rest of the day. Super satisfying and filling. I'm looking forward to the next visit to try something else. But I'm sure I won't be disappointed with the next visit. My stomach's growling just talking about this place. Haha. THANKS!
