I ordered the chicken caldo, and it had an excellent broth base. Then came the lemon for me, a bit of their homemade green salsa, because it was spicy, can't do spicy well... and it hit great. Hearty veggies, and huge pieces of chicken. Accompanied by homemade corn tortillas, a small bowl of rice and a cup of hibiscus leaf juice (agua de Jamaica) it all was a meal worthy of a king. I left a very happy camper. Not hungry for almost the whole day and didn't have anything better to eat for the rest of the day. Super satisfying and filling. Also, very very skimpy on the cheese, I couldn't even find it. The beans were very clumpy refried beans, I'm not entirely sure if they're canned or yesterday's beans half reheated. Ultimately, for $9 it was adequate and for a hearty meal I would recommend it, just don't go in expecting anything ground breaking. I will return for the tamale bowl soon.
