The chilaquiles were saucy and delicious. The sopes were so good! You can tell that the carne they use is high quality. I know where to go when I need soup because the Caldo de Rez was my favorite! This was the worst experience I ever had. The enchiladas tasted like vinegar. My dad who usually cleanse his plate and never leave food could not get himself to take another bite. I came on Tuesday for the taco Tuesday special. Upon ordering they said they don't have it anymore that they actually never had it. I spoke to the owner because it shows it on the menu but still did not honer it. The owner vicky was very rude about it and screamed nd got upset. This review is a few years overdue. I really miss this eatery. Their food and their flavored water are simply awesome. My favorite dish is the pollo huarache. The tacos are delicious too. My favorite drinks were tamarindo, jicama and jicama. The customer service always attentive & friendly. The tortillas are thick, fresh, and tasty. The Chavelas are yummy here. Love the 3 different types of salsa. I had the quail dinner for the first time and I couldn't believe how good it was. I even ate the beans and rice with peas and carrots. I don't usually eat rice and beans. Flautas, tacos, tortas, you really can't go wrong. The enchilada sauce wasn't very tasty and a bit spicy. Rice was okay. Beans were wayyy to salty. The asada taco was good. Service wasn't that great either. Waitress was rude. I don't speak much Spanish so I felt that because I didn't speak Spanish to her she didn't want to waste her time with me. NOT HERE OMG the chicken was actual fresh moist white meat cooked to perfection served with Guacamole and authentic Mexican sour cream. Excellent. The tortilla was perfectly fried not greasy at all. My grand daughter the pickiest of eaters ordered Cheese enchiladas and finished 90% of her meal she never eats anything. I noticed an actual Al-pastor spit in the kitchen after the meal can't wait to go back and try that out. Upon arriving, it was clean and the staff was polite. Ordering tacos was smooth. When I got home, I was missing tacos from my order. I called them and they kept repeating my order, I know my order. I know what I ordered, and yes you have my order right, but you didn't give me my tacos. I drive back to the restaurant, explain again I'm missing tacos. She took out the receipt and shows me that they marked off the tacos and I was like okay they did, BUT I DONT HAVE THE DAMN TACOS. The. She tried saying they didn't charge me for the tacos. Uhm, YES YOU DID, it's right there on the receipt. Did she give me my missing tacos, yes. But they STILL fucked that up cause I told her plain and they were filled with onion and cilantro. Never again. They make you feel it's YOUR FAULT they forgot your tacos and try to make you feel as if you're stealing and lying about missing food. And to top it all off, the damn tacos were cold. I came in excited to see what the hype was about on the birria, unfortunately as soon as my friend and I sat down we waited and waited while people kept arriving after us and getting service before us. The waitress never checked in on us, we could've been repeat customers, but it's their loss now. This place is made me feel unwelcomed. Not sure if I will be back. The waitress we had was a red head lady. Didn't even want to help us when we had to pay, she had someone else take over to take our money. I will be taking my service and money elsewhere.
