I love this place. I found it three years ago. We have a vacation home in the Palm Desert, and anytime I'm here, I give them a visit. Tonight I thought I had a problem. I placed my order and I got a receipt and it was about half the price that I normally pay. They only charged me $2 for tacos. They were super busy. Two young gals were working the front cash registers and handling a huge crowd with ease. When I got there attention in between customers, I explained to them that I think they made a mistake on the Bill. Then they explained to me that it's taco Tuesday! All their tacos were half price or less. They were so kind to me and made me feel like they valued me as a customer. I highly recommend this place. It's in a gas station. Ordered a big food order to go by phone. When I went to pick up my order I was charged 4% for using my card! I know businesses have to pay for these machines to swipe your cards, but they have already hiked their food prices up so high, why are they still charging their patrons to use their own money? They should post BIG signs and inform you about the 4% credit card fee! I will not patronize this restaurant or any restaurants that charge you to use your own money. I will not be going there again. First time at this taco shop. I was very impressed. Nothing beats homemade flour tortillas. It really makes the tacos taste delicious and so much better than any store bought tortilla's. The service is great, there were no other customers so my order which was quite big was given to me at a decent time. My only concern was that I tried ordering by calling the number that appears on Google but the call would only ring once and go straight to the full mailbox. The tacos were bland, greasy, and tasted like they had been sitting out way too long. The meat lacked flavor, the tortillas were soggy, and nothing tasted fresh. For the prices they charge, I expected decent quality at minimum, but this was far from it. The overall experience left me regretting spending my money here. Taquerias are a dime a dozen in California. However, this place makes delicious homemade corn and flour tortillas. The homemade tortillas combined with a healthy portion of meat and beans takes the tacos to another level. We come to the Valley once a year and will be coming back for years to come. Haven't been here under new ownership. We came on a Saturday. There were several people waiting for food & to order. They definitely need more help on weekends. All tables outside were dirty. The young woman working the front inside was friendly & efficient but couldn't take a breathe between people coming inside & phone orders. Nobody available to clean. The chair I sat on outside was broken as well. Tacos weren't as good & as big as before & price went up to $2.49 a taco. My chicken tacos weren't seasoned much & Jamaica was simply okay.
