Torta
Ashley M.

I loved grabbing lunch here in Industry City. Huge portions for a reasonable price, the leftovers could probably be saved for a second meal later! The torta felt fresh and was a unique take on a fried chicken sandwich. The burrito was evenly balanced and tasty!

Grabbed a late lunch at Industry city's food hall in Sunset Park. We decided to try Taco Mix. Lots of options but the birria and baja fish tacos were recommended. They wee absolutely delicious. One thing, don't leave without trying their hibiscus and tamarind drinks. So refreshing and the perfect pair for these amazing tacos!

The service was great and I did not wait long for my food. There is a section of tables right across from it so you can actual sit an enjoy. This was my first time so I tried 3 taco deal. It came with a side and drink I got quacamole and chips. Unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed in the flavors. They came out looking really good the presentation was good. Shrimp taco was u seasoned like they just u thawed the shrimp and added the toppings. The chorizo was very mealy like super dry I couldn't eat that one. The spiced pork was just ok like add a little salt or something. The toppings were fresh.

Chipotle chicken quesadilla and mandarin Jarritos

I came here for lunch on a Sunday with a friend. There's a lot of options in the IC Food Hall but this place was at the end of it so definitely not as popular. I ordered a chipotle chicken quesadilla and a mandarin Jarritos drink. My friend ordered the nachos. The nachos was a large portion and had a lot of toppings. The chipotle chicken quesadilla was toasted well but did not have much cheese or chicken. I liked the salsas, one was spicy and other was mild. The nachos seemed like a better deal. Would I come back? I feel like there's better options in the food hall.

Can't wait to come back! The service was very quick, and you really get a good bang for your buck. My boyfriend and I got the full size birria pizza which is definitely enough for 2, we even got a second meal out of it! Very flavorful, meat and cheese blends together very well, and when dipped in the consume with lime, woooo! Highly recommend

The food is amazing & the guava drink was so good. There isn't many people & they give your food fast.

Grapefruit Jarrito and side of gauc
Vicky L.

Been wanting to try out the different vendors in industry city. Ordered the Combo $21 - Any 3 tacos+1 drink, and any side. Decided to go with the Fish taco, Al pastor taco, Steak taco, Grapefruit Jarritos, and a side of gauc. The fish taco was my favorite. The other two meat tacos were OK, felt like the meat was a bit rough and the flavoring was alright. The chips were great but it was a REALLY small side of gauc. Personally, I felt that this combo wasn't too filling and would be more like an appetizer or snack. Might try out their other items next time.

Esquites, Birria Pizza

Got takeout from here and it was a great deal -- the birria pizza is a fantastic deal. They give plenty of stew to dip in and the pizza itself is delicious and more than large enough to serve two. The stew itself wasn't overly salty so it actually served as a nice thing to sip alongside everything else. They also provided a good assortment of hot sauce and plenty of limes! The esquites were also very delicious, but I do wish the portion size was a bit bigger as I don't think it matched the price. I would recommend the pizza if you're in the mood for a more unique entree and are hungry! Great taste, flavor, and portions. Thanks, Taco Mix!

Stopped in for a quick bite during shopping at IC. This is the first time I've actually dined at a restaurant in IC. They do have a nice selection of " street food" tacos. They also have Tortas which sounds delicious and weekly specials. I just chose a simple taco where protein like chicken, pork, etc can be added. The grilled chicken taco was tasty with onions, cilantro, cucumber, radish and served with a side spicy green sauce. The taco was tasty but the cucumber should be diced. It does come with 2 pieces of taco wrap. The grapefruit jarrito was refreshing. Courteous service and cool Latin music. I was surprised my small order was packed in a big brown paper bag.. seems a bit wasteful. There are long communal tables to dine at and you can eat safely( social distancing).

We came here to try the birria pizza and it was delish! It didn't take too long to make either. We waited maybe 8 minutes for the pizza come out. The actual place doesn't have too much seating in front but there are general seating areas around that you can eat at. The pizza was piping hot and the cheese was melted. They definitely load up with cheese and meat but it didn't feel disproportionate to each other. They are generous with the broth and it was very tasty. I definitely would go back to try more of their menu and get another birria pizza.

The ambiance is cool. Takeout only but there is ample seating areas to sit down and eat in Industry City. Music was great, I was doing a little two step while waiting for my order. No problems with my order, everything was great. Food presentation was wonderful. I'll definitely stop by again.

Birria "pizza"

Tried the birria pizza and it is not really pizza. It is more like a large birria quesadilla ("pizza crust" is tortilla). It was large in size and had tons of birria meat & toppings. It got soggy quickly, but it was quite tasty esp with the cheese in it. I don't know if I would reorder this, but I will stick to reordering the birria cheese tacos! YUM!

I really wanted to love this place but it wasn't for me. The Decor at this place is amazing and great for taking pictures but I'm afraid the dishes I tried did not taste good. The steak tacos had a stench that I could not make out. I need up forcing myself way through one just to get a feel of it. In my opinion, it tasted like nothing, pretty bland in my opinion so I had to down it in sauce but I still couldn't get past the smell so I ended up throwing it away. Esquites have become one of my favorite Mexican sides but this one did not do it for me. The corn had no taste and felt like it was sitting in microwaved water all day. The best part of my meal was the drink

I got the birria deluxe and it was heavenly! Haven't had good birria in a while; this was very close to what I get back home in Texas!

Service is always super fast and super nice, shepherding a shocking amount of people through. Perfect cool vibe mixing a great CDMX taqueria and chic Greenpoint. It takes me 10-15 minutes to go here, and every time I find myself with 30 extra minutes at lunch, Taqueria Ramirez comes to mind. It's that good. If you haven't tried it yet, it's a must!

I was pleasantly surprised and actually really enjoyed the tacos! We ordered the Al Pastor (3.8/5), which had really good flavor and a nice char to the meat. We also tried the Suadero (3.5/5), which was also good! It wasn't overly rich or overpowering, and the meat was cooked really well. We also ordered the Consomé Ranchero, which we enjoyed as well! It was flavorful and even had some hominy at the bottom, which was a nice touch! It's a small area to eat. Counters all around, but people eat the tacos quick and we were able to get seated once a small group left. It can definitely get packed if there's a lot of people. Coming from San Diego, I definitely have high expectations for tacos, but Taqueria Ramirez did not disappoint! We'd definitely come back on our next trip to NYC!

The little things that are always a stand out for me is that they give you a hand full of limes. I'm sure that can seem like a small thing but lime is such an integral part of tacos for me and most place give you one or two for like it's the lime shortage of 2014. So to open my box up and see five, I was super excited. The price is really affordable too. I paid twenty two bucks for tacos, consume and a drink. Can't beat that! This neighborhood gem offers an industrialized minimalist form of decor with pops of color and art. Cozy but roomy, the bar area had mostly 2 seater tables and a few with high chairs. We recently went for a birthday brunch. Restaurant Week was still in effect but we decided to choose from the regular brunch menu. Place was low key and giving neighborhood vibes. The service was 10 STARS! Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind. We were also checked on by a second staff member who I think may have been a manager but cannot be certain. We started with cocktails and they serve chips and salsa gratis. I had the Jalapeno and Hibiscus Margarita and my friend ordered the Pepper Margarita with Strawberry and Chipotle. Mine was a bit on the sweet side without a hint of tequila. My friend's drink definitely was the better of the two. Not overly sweet and definitely a flavor of tequila was present. We also ordered a guacamole. I must say it was quite small and barely served 2 people. I suggest if more than 2 guests are part of the experience, order more than one. For my entree, I requested a market salad and 2 veggie tacos with a side of birria consume. Salad was very fresh and I am sure was made to order as opposed to premade a week prior and waiting in a fridge to be served. My tacos were average but satisfying. The consume was a bit disappointing as it was more of a water/broth based and not of a typical gravy consistency. It was not exciting. My friend's entree was the highlight of the experience. She had the brisket quesadilla. Never have I seen a quesadilla with a crispy outside such as this. A culinary masterpiece indeed. She consumed it all and not one complaint afterward. Delish. We did receive a complimentary Churro plate for the birthday celebration. They were drizzled with caramel and berries. Served warm, they were a dream for the palate. I did use the bathroom which was a single stall. It was clean enough but not well lit. The biggest downfall of my experience was the temperature of the restaurant. I understand it is summer, however, there was no A/C and the inside was extremely hot. I sweated through my entire experience. Even the bathroom felt like 100 degrees. We did not complain but our waitress noticed and brough a fan out to circulate the air. They do have ceiling fans but honestly I did not feel them. The management/owner should consider more temperature control methods during the hotter months as it was quite uncomfortable. To sum it up, I thought this experience was mostly positive and would patronize it again.
