The service was great and I did not wait long for my food. There is a section of tables right across from it so you can actual sit an enjoy. This was my first time so I tried 3 taco deal. It came with a side and drink I got quacamole and chips. Unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed in the flavors. They came out looking really good the presentation was good. Shrimp taco was u seasoned like they just u thawed the shrimp and added the toppings. The chorizo was very mealy like super dry I couldn't eat that one. The spiced pork was just ok like add a little salt or something. The toppings were fresh.

I ordered a chipotle chicken quesadilla and a mandarin Jarritos drink. My friend ordered the nachos. The nachos was a large portion and had a lot of toppings. The chipotle chicken quesadilla was toasted well but did not have much cheese or chicken. I liked the salsas, one was spicy and other was mild. The nachos seemed like a better deal. Would I come back? I feel like there's better options in the food hall.
Can't wait to come back! The service was very quick, and you really get a good bang for your buck. My boyfriend and I got the full size birria pizza which is definitely enough for 2, we even got a second meal out of it! Very flavorful, meat and cheese blends together very well, and when dipped in the consume with lime, woooo! Highly recommend
Been wanting to try out the different vendors in industry city. Ordered the Combo $21 - Any 3 tacos+1 drink, and any side. Decided to go with the Fish taco, Al pastor taco, Steak taco, Grapefruit Jarritos, and a side of gauc. The fish taco was my favorite. The other two meat tacos were OK, felt like the meat was a bit rough and the flavoring was alright. The chips were great but it was a REALLY small side of gauc. Personally, I felt that this combo wasn't too filling and would be more like an appetizer or snack. Might try out their other items next time.
Got takeout from here and it was a great deal -- the birria pizza is a fantastic deal. They give plenty of stew to dip in and the pizza itself is delicious and more than large enough to serve two. The stew itself wasn't overly salty so it actually served as a nice thing to sip alongside everything else. They also provided a good assortment of hot sauce and plenty of limes! The esquites were also very delicious, but I do wish the portion size was a bit bigger as I don't think it matched the price. I would recommend the pizza if you're in the mood for a more unique entree and are hungry! Great taste, flavor, and portions. Thanks, Taco Mix!
Stopped in for a quick bite during shopping at IC. This is the first time I've actually dined at a restaurant in IC. They do have a nice selection of " street food" tacos. They also have Tortas which sounds delicious and weekly specials. I just chose a simple taco where protein like chicken, pork, etc can be added. The grilled chicken taco was tasty with onions, cilantro, cucumber, radish and served with a side spicy green sauce. The taco was tasty but the cucumber should be diced. It does come with 2 pieces of taco wrap. The grapefruit jarrito was refreshing. Courteous service and cool Latin music. I was surprised my small order was packed in a big brown paper bag.. seems a bit wasteful. There are long communal tables to dine at and you can eat safely( social distancing).

Tried the birria pizza and it is not really pizza. It is more like a large birria quesadilla ("pizza crust" is tortilla). It was large in size and had tons of birria meat & toppings. It got soggy quickly, but it was quite tasty esp with the cheese in it. I don't know if I would reorder this, but I will stick to reordering the birria cheese tacos! YUM!

We got the shrimp tostada which was good, but I would def recommend the birria con quest tacos and the Pina colada slushy. The birria tacos were so good and this was the first time I saw it with cheese. The meat was moist and tender, the tortilla crunchy and soft at the same time.

I decided to try something new at Taco Mix, so I ordered the birria ramen instead of my usual birria tacos. It was a great decision! The birria ramen was very tasty and had a unique flavor. The meat was juicy and tender, and the broth was rich and savory. The noodles were cooked just right, with a nice chewy texture. Everything combined together tastes delicious. Grabbed a late lunch at Industry city's food hall in Sunset Park. We decided to try Taco Mix. Lots of options but the birria and baja fish tacos were recommended. They wee absolutely delicious. This is not the same as the Harlem spot... same name, different taco. The beauty and simplicity of the original pastor taco is bastardized. No spit of pork spinning and blasting itself in pineapple.. just a regular taco. The name taco mix implies some very big shoes to fill... alas the soul does not fit in these tortillas. read more

We visited Taco Mix in Brooklyn's Industry City on a Sunday last month. (The Yelp page for Taco Mix indicated that they are closed on Sunday, but they were open for business when we were there in March 2024). I ordered the birria ramen, $12, that came with a side of onions and hot sauce. It was really nice. The soup isn't ramen in the traditional sense but rather birria consume and chunks of beef. I took half home and added a pinch of salt before reheating. Fabulous. read more

This was my first time trying Taco Mix in Industry City Brooklyn NY. The restaurant was clean. Our food was served quick. Everything was very delicious. I had rice, beans, esquites and sour cream. No meat for me because I am a vegetarian. I enjoyed the food. The portion size was big. I was able to have 2 meals from what I bought. I will go back when I am in the area. read more
Had a spontaneous steak taco here the other night and couldn't be more glad that I did. The first thing you notice menu wise is that there are daily specials to catch. When they have specials, they are shelling out several orders to a person at a time. They are quick and efficient with every order while delivering flavor that keeps people coming back. We easily went with a steak torta. Layers upon layers of ingredients that create one huge amazing sandwich. What you immediately notice is the bread. Despite beans, sour cream, meat juice, the bread maintains its integrity and stands strong where it should get too wet and fall apart. The steak was undeniably the best part of this sandwich. Theres a char, a super garlic oniony taste all developed in a mere minutes from your order. There are TOO many places to stop over here in Industry City, but I would be happy to try some tacos or even some nachos in the future. Thank you. read more

I've been to the Taco Mix in East Harlem before, often on trips to or from the Costco there, and now they have a location in the Industry City food hall just a couple of blocks from the Brooklyn Costco. It's a small shop with no real seating, but you can take the food to one of the tables in the hall (which overall really needs more seating) or to the courtyard outside when it's nice. I got two tacos grandes ($3.75 each) which are the regular sized tacos with double tortillas, fillings, and toppings. I ordered one al pastor and one tinga. Both were good, but Taco Mix is known for their al pastor so it's no surprise that I liked that one a little bit better, with its wonderful pork flavor and shaving of pineapple. I kept the toppings simple with onion, cilantro, and pico de gallo, and it was just the right size for lunch. Service was fast, and it looks like they have specials during the weekdays. Despite Yelp saying they were closed on weekends, they do seem to be open on weekends now, which was perfect for grabbing something to eat before braving the madness of Costco. read more
After roaming around and eating, I was convinced I had to try the chorizo taco and ordered the al pastor as well because he felt weird only ordering one taco. The tacos were okay..the winner is the meat. This was the best chorizo I've ever had but the taco shell and stuffing was a disappointment. Mouthwatering tacos in the frolicsome setting of industry city. A little different now since before the pandemic but still very good. I do miss the strawberry aioli and access to the salsa / radish / cucumber bar. For a normal sized stomach, definitely order 3 tacos. They come with two tortillas each as well. I recommend the chicken tinga taco and the mushroom taco which comes with a hearty amount of cheese. The 3 tacos also come with a side of green and red salsas and cucumber and radish. Can eat indoors at the many seating arrangements or outdoors in the quirky, heated courtyard. Specials on the menu every day! read more

We came across this place just to grab a quick bite since we were checking out Industry City. They had a special for 99 cent alpastor mini tacos that day, so we decided to give it a shot. I decided to try one of the alpastor taco special and a lengua (beef tongue) taco. The line was long but it did move fast. The space to order was very tight. They have a rolling cart holding their sauces, selected toppings and utensils that took a big chunk of the space. If they moved it outside, the customers can feel more comfortable waiting on line and those trying to get sauces or utensils won't be bumping to people on line. The food overall was good. The lengua was my favorite of the two and the flavors were pretty spot on. The only big issue I would have is the price on toppings. Since the toppings are itemized, the cost really adds up. At 50 cents a topping and additional $2 for guacamole...two tacos with two choice of toppings can equal over $10 easily. I think customers would not feel as upset about this if they didn't upcharge for every topping. Chain restaurants like Chipotle and Moe's that are the same style only upcharge for guacamole, which is standard, but don't upcharge the other ingredients. read more

It's not like other taco places where they grab meat from a container and throw it in the shell. Here they threw it on the grill first. My taco was really good. Went on the Sunday before Labor Day and had their 2 large tacos with a can of soda deal for about $9. Staff were generally pretty nice, some didn't know what was happening with the special when I mentioned it (ordered towards the end of the day). Food was at an okay price (on the verge of starting to get expensive) when compared to taco prices two blocks down in the various authentic mexican restaurants of Sunset Park. Taste of the tacos were good, but again not as authentic and delicious as the authentic mexican restaurants within Sunset Park. read more

Needed something quick since I work around the area and the food is terrible here. I'm kind of mad I even donated to keep this place open during covid. For a burrito bowl, it cost $20. Got a pulled pork. The pork tasted disgusting. Also can someone tell me why PULLED pork is in dry ass cubes? Hello PULLED soft tender... I took two bites and threw it out. Save your money. read more

The tacos are soooooo gooddd!! Especially the shrimp tacos. Only reason why I'm putting 3 stars is because of the service. I order from here on DoorDash and after confirming my DoorDash order and then preparing my order and making my dasher go all the way there and making him wait, they canceled my order 9 minutes before they closed. To add on I was at work, I work 12 hours a day and this was supposed to be my lunch. It's really upsetting when you are so busy that you had no time to order food earlier in the day, then you finally order and you wait an entire hour for this food to come and they cancel once the dasher is there and waiting. This is the second time this happened. And I don't know what the issue is each time but they need to do better. Especially when they are canceling an order an entire hour later without warning or giving a reason. That's exactly how you lose customers. At this point I'm not sure I want to order from here again because they are not dependable. (This is for sunset park Brookly location by the way, for some reason it keeps taking me to industry city location every time I click sunset park) read more
