We went to Taco Mac one evening just to hang out for a bit and watch some football games. The restaurant was busy when we went but we were seated immediately. I ordered a drink - Georgia Peach and pretzel and my other two guests ordered a Strawberry Margarita and chips & salsa. The salted pretzel was warm and very good. It was served with a pimento cheese spread - very good together. My drink was tasty as well. Our server was friendly too! Let me start by saying my family and I have been to this Taco Mac many times before & this review is based on the first time we've visited since COVID-19. Long story short... don't waste your money. It's definitely not the same as it used to be. My dad ordered wings (20 wings for $20... so the math) and the wings were so little there were hardly any meat on them. TACO MAC is known for their wings so I was very surprised to see how much the quality had changed (see pic attached). I had a burger with added chili. (Literally my high school served better meat & chili). My boyfriend has 3 tacos which were okay... but he wouldn't order again (underwhelming) & my mom ordered catfish with was bland as heck, no seasoning... literally tasted like the freezer. This is my spot. I'm pretty sure by the end of this review, it will def be yours as well. Food: My ultimate favorites are their Bacon Cheddar Ranch Burger, Original Wings, and queso. Taco Mac isn't my go to, and really I only go with groups of friends. This particular Taco Mac, i've been to twice, and one of the reviewers mentioned consistency, or a lack of it, and i'd have to agree. My last visit I got the Traditional Turkey burger with onion rings ($10 total). The onion rings came with a ranch dipping sauce, and they were pretty tasty. The turkey burger, while juicy, lacked flavor, and needed lots of condiments to save it. Customer service during my first visit was kinda awesome, with a server who really had fun with all of us and was super cool/chill. Customer service on my last visit was slow, rarely there and cut people off with his jokes...which weren't funny to begin with This Taco mac, like all others, is filled with TVs with the latest sporting event(s) on and if drinking is your thing, they have a massive selection that my friends go on and on about, but I don't know much about (I don't drink). For the tens of times I have been here, the experience has always been different and not in a good way. The wings and fries I got were overcooked in this case. I absolutely love this place. My friends and I are here almost about all the time! It is close by and has an amazing selection of liquor, beers and mix drinks. It also has great food. We love getting the wings, sweet potato fries, fish & chips, nachos all the way, & calamari. They recently have added the fish & chips, and calamari. I went to Taco Mac today for a couple beers. This is pretty normal for me, but today, I did not get credit for my 2 beers. When I called the manager, Whitney, she said she was unable to either give me credits or a refund for the beers, but I could order them again if I really wanted the credit. I asked if there was anything she could do to help other than this, and she said no, she is not the one in charge (odd, since this was the manager talking)...I need to talk to her manager. Not friendly at all. Service is also a bit slow, which I usually overlook, but with the unwillingness to help, I would not recommend visiting this location. They make their ranch and bleu cheese in house, they are the best! If you're a sauce person like me, you won't be disappointed. Thick, creamy, garlicky and packed full of flavors. Taco Mac also offers burgers, salads, sandwiches, and a few tacos of course to go with the name. If you're a beer drinker this place is for you. They have over 50 draught selections and 100s of bottle options. Thursday is pint night, therefore, you get a free pint glass to take home! They also have a full bar in case liquor is more your thing or mood that day. The service is always prompt and friendly, even when they're super slammed. Multiple Tv's to watch any game you can think of. They tend to have a wait on Thursday-Saturday, but it isn't too long typically, the max we have had to wait was 45mins. This location can never get it right. The first two times we ordered to-go the orders were missing something or completely wrong. The second time I did not realize we were missing a meal until I got home and I had to make the drive back out to receive no sincere apology. When I got there I was told it was just going to be another 5 minutes so I waited inside. 30'minutes later I asked if someone could check on the order. I was told that they were waiting on one more item and it would be another 5 minutes. I sat in my car for 20 before coming inside and asking for a manager. I said I wanted to just cancel my order all together. I can promise you the person who came to speak to me was not management. He walked up and asked the girl at the register what I was waiting for, she told him a chicken sandwich, he walked to the back of the kitchen and walked back up and handed me the item and said sorry about that and then walked away. I went to the taco Mac website and sent an email to complain and never heard back. Tonight we ordered Uber eats. There is another taco Mac we have been using but somehow we accidentally ordered from this location. They completely forgot one whole meal and two sides. It was already a 50-60 minute wait that I paid a little extra for to cut down the wait time so imagine how we felt when we finally get dinner and find out only ones of us is eating.
