This would be my second time to this location. This time I was a little sad. We sat down quick it was trivia night super loud couldn't hear yourself talk to guests at the table. Our table had the extenders which made our drinks lean at the ends. Our server took our drink orders and then came back about 10 minutes later and then our dinner order which took waaaay too long. And food came out in increments rather then at once for the table. Our friends watched us eat about 10 minutes before they got their food finally. My wings were dry. I got the 10 piece with three mile island and my wings were cold not hot. My 2 tacos came the steak fajita had no sauce on it was a little dry. My husband got the bones less wings and a burger he asked for medium came in at well done and his boneless wings had too much batter on it. For things to be frozen fried and then a burger shouldn't have taken no more then 30 minutes on ticket times. I had to ask where our food was. We got there at around 7:50pm didn't get our tables full meal until almost 9pm. By the time we finished eating and finalizing everything it was nearly 10:15pm. Brother in law got the cheesecake which came to him luke warm and not cold and it looked like someone threw strawberry syrup all over it. The dessert plates were hot. Maybe frozen cakes microwaved for quicker service. Definitely won't be back. Best thing here would be the beer. read more

Mediocre at best. I ordered the fried buffalo chicken sangwich. I hero bread, a little lettuce and tomato, buffalo sauce and a larger than the bread piece of fried chicken. Sounds good right? Tried to close the bread but couldn't. Still ok. So i start to cut the chicken and bread, but no knife. Ordered some knives. All is still ok. This is the miss. French fries were cold. Well dang. I HATE being a " Debby Downer" but wow this sucked. I got a Philly cheesesteak with chicken tortilla soup and a Caesar salad. The Philly was ALLLL bread, soup was like a paste, and the fries I got charged for were so cold and limp they were entirely inedible. Plus, this was a $20 dollar meal because I asked for a Caesar salad ( I thought replaced the fries) and they put the dressing on it so it too was entirely inedible because it was sauced in dressing and the lettuce was transparent. Great service. Food is not what you would expect from the original Taco Macs in and around Atlanta. No patron, can't mix taco and wing flavors, out of cheese sticks and mac-cheese is boxed dry Kraft. I've been here several times due to the location but I will drive another 3 exits to get the good food and service. No flexibility in ordering is a turn off and the wait staff apologizes for it and agrees that they should listen to the customer more but tends to stick to their corporate decision instead. read more

This is a tough pick on what side this review should fall. Based on the food, it should be a 4 or 5 Star, but was downgraded to a 3 Star based on the staff. I will explain. First i must point out that this is a great location. Just right off the interstate (I75) behind the Race Trac gas station. Easy to get into the parking from 20 81 Hwy, but if you want to get back on the interstate easily, take the side/back entrance out. There is plenty of parking! The atmosphere is your typical bar setting. Booths and bar seating, Lots of wide screen TV's and a noisy atmosphere. All good! Quick seating and placed in the bar area. Prompt service, for drinks and taking our order. We didn't have to wait long for our boneless buffalo wings and fries. The food was great and if you want a good cold beer, the have the best variety of on tap and bottled beers that you could want. Here is where I explain: While placing our order the Manager of the restaurant was talking to a gentleman at the table right beside us. And those pub tables are VERY close together. The Manager proceeded to loudly berate Home Depot for a problem he had to this gentlemen and proceeded to do so from the time we ordered our drinks until we finished eating our food!! We heard how stupid Home Depot employees were and the Manager went on and on and on. My son and I tried to talk to each other during the meal, but couldn't hear each other over this loud obnoxious rude Manager. He ruined our experience and we were glad to leave. Went to taco mac on 4/5 @ 10 pm we were seated by the host Gentleman and Was nice we waited 10 minutes before we were greeted. The server finally came to the table to take the drink order and apps I stated we were ready to order he stated he would be back. Ok no problem maybe he was busy. So it took another 10-15 mins I had to ask another server to please my server (laziurs) so he came back to the table to take our order which was a party of 4. So i asked about the apps he stated thats what he was waiting on. He then Took the order food took forever to come out. The food came out wrong had two burgers one burger add lettuce shrimp tacos, 20 piece wings and fries.so one burger was missing lettuce that was add and the other was missing the bacon and the shrimp taco never came out or were rang in. I asked the same server that went to get laziurs to get the manager and she did once the manager came to the table (Akeisha albark) she is the night manager that was on duty. Sorry not sure if thats the correct spelling of her past name. She came to the table I explained what was going on laziurs was going in and out of the patio door so i told akeisha he must have had tables outside she stated that there were no tables outside she also stated that the order i told her was not the order he rang in . So we waited for laziur to bring the bacon, lettuce and shrimp rolls out we waited 5 minutes to get the lettuce and bacon never received shrimp tacos. Akeisha was unapologetic she looked confused she did take off $38 of tab stated server error the issue that i have a problem with was that as a manager she should've made sure that she brought the boxes and the check out to the table which she sent laziur out to the table with the check and boxes i asked to speak with Akeisha and she told laziur to tell me she was busy. This has been by far the worst experience that i have had at taco mac in McDonough ga . The food is always amazing in McDonough however Akeisha could have cared a little more about the customer. This is a bit of a sports bar! Not a Mexican restaurant as you would think by the name! There is a great outside seating area but the chairs are not very comfortable. I ordered the chicken nachos and they were huge! Too much for one person but they were delicious! I had a lot that I brought back to the hotel! Horrible horrible service. First off, they said our food would be ready in 30min and when it was time to pick it up they pushed the time back another half hour. Even worse, half the cooks in the kitchen are not wearing their masks and when my husband asked to speak to the manager just to kindly ask him to encourage him to speak to them, the awful hostess shrugged him off and said they wouldn't talk about it. I went to this place with a group of 10 people around 10 pm. We waited for 1 hour for a table and the place wasn't busy. We finally got seated and our order was taken, unfortunately we never got our food. So in total we waited for 3 hours and we left at 1:10am. We asked for a manager( white man with a beard) he came once we were leaving and asked what happened . We told him what happen and said I'm going to go see what's happening. We told him it's fine we're leaving, after three hours this was the worst experience and it was my first time going there. The waitress avoided us for some point and I also saw other waitress talking and goofing around. Also when I ordered my wings after an hour they told me they didn't have the flavor. Frankly, it looks like an old order they gave me and refried it! The sauce was not even half way filled and had no cover on it! Mind you, there wasn't any spillage in the container...so want the hell happened! The tater tots were cold, not hot...cold. This was a great place to dine a few months back. My autistic son loves the wings there. Not sure what has happened.. food was still good but the place is filthy and service is miss managed. We sat for over 40 minutes waiting on our food and beverages. We witnessed many people dine and leave... staff would remove the dirty dishes and trash..... 2 out of 12 tables where not wiped down or cleaned in any way before the next guest was sat down. I called in an order of 30 roasted wings with blue cheese, celery, and a side order of tater tots. When I can to pick up my order, I checked my order and found 3 containers of blue cheese dressing inside the sealed aluminum pan with hot ( in temperature)chicken wings. I requested 3 new containers of blue cheese and a side of Asian sweet heat sauce which I had requested when I placed my order. The cashier, Ashlyn, informed me that they had ran out of the sweet heat sauce, but they had just made some more and would bring me out some. I also asked for more celery because they only gave me 4 pieces of celery to go with 30 wings and they also put the celery in a piece of parchment paper and placed it inside of the hot (in temperature) aluminum wing pan as well. The cashier said no problem, I'll be right back. A few moments later, an employee named Asia brought out the celery. Another few moments go by and hear Asia in the kitchen yelling that she has a problem with me because every time I come, I have an issue about the blue cheese dressing. **About a month ago, I placed the same order and had the same issue about the blue cheese dressing being placed in the hot container. The same employee, Asia, felt the need to have an issue the last time as well because I asked for new containers of blue cheese dressing** 30 seconds later a manager, Keisha, comes out of the kitchen with 3 new containers of blue cheese dressing asking what is the problem. I inquired what problem was there because I didn't request a manager, I simply asked for new dressing that wasn't hot. I told her that I thought is completely inappropriate and unprofessional for the employee, Asia, to be in the kitchen talking negatively and loudly about me. She stated that she didn't know what I was talking about and that the employee wasn't talking about me, she was discussing all of the orders. I explained to the manager that I'm not stupid and that I know she was talking about me because she had an issue the last time I came about me asking for more blue cheese dressing. The manager stated that she wasn't aware of this issue before and that I must have spoken to a different manager. She proceeded to go get the bar manager, Chasity. Chasity came to the To Go Order counter and stated that she remembered me having the same issue before and asked if the other manager, Keisha, had gotten me some new blue cheese. I told her that my issue was that Asia had blatantly disrespected me and the other manager, Keisha, allowed it to happen. I asked for Keisha to return to speak to me, but she never came. I asked an employee, Jason Tool, to go get Keisha for me. It took a while for him to return, so in the mean time I asked another employee to get Keisha. The employee called Keisha's name and asked her to come speak with. However, she never came. A few minutes later, Jason returned and explained that Keisha would not be returning to talk to me because she simply did not want to. He stated that he was also a manager and asked if I had all of my food and the blue cheese dressing because if I did there was nothing else to talk about. I asked him so if a customer requests to speak to a manager they can refuse the customer's request. He stated that Keisha did not have to speak to me if she doesn't want to. I explained to him what the issue was today and advised him that the issue was not related to him which is why I requested to speak to Keisha who was a witness to the first-hand disrespect by the employee, Asia. I explained to him that if I am spending my money at their restaurant and ask for different blue cheese that it shouldn't have been an issue and that I felt very disrespected. He said that if he were in the same situation, an employee's disrespect would not have phased him and that he would have gone on about his day. His solution to the issue at hand was that if I have such a problem with the restaurant, then I should not return again. I asked him to confirm that his solution to me being disrespected by his employee was not to patronize their business anymore and he confirmed that that was exactly what he had said and suggested. I asked him if he has a policy to let employees disrespect their customers. He stated that he would address the issue with the employee and that he has nothing else to say to me. I asked for his name so that I can call the corporate office. He spelled his name out for me and stated that I was welcome to call corporate and advised that they won't do anything about my issues. read more

Then had to get up and ask for service after sitting for 15 minutes while employees wandered by the kitchen THE PLACE WAS EMPTY!! Finally the bartender got us drinks, but still no server. Decided to finally leave, and while our friend was asking for the bill overheard, "I don't want that table, I'm about to go on break." Worst management and service ever. Avoid at all costs. I'm not typically a fan of bar food or sports bars but we had a really nice experience at Taco Mac. The service is a little slow but we were not in a rush so no big deal. It was pretty empty here on a Wednesday night and you definitely get a feel of southern hospitality here with the waitstaff. I had the Grilled Shrimp Tacos which was a nice and healthy-ish meal. There are lots of options for beers and I was pretty happy with the choice of ciders. I had the pineapple cider which was on draft, super good! Really sweet but tastes almost like pineapple soda which I love. Everyone else I was with got wings and seemed to enjoy them. read more

I was in Atlanta for work 5+ years ago and frequented taco Mac in midtown. I was super excited to be in McDonough overnight but didn't have the best experience at this Taco Mac. We ordered beer, an appetizer, and wings and both made it to the table BEFORE our beer! Not only that but the manager delivered our wings and when he asked if we needed anything we just mentioned our beers so he went to "look into it". Finally we got our beers, but the poor customer service unfortunately left a bad vibe. The manager only said that the girl behind the bar was "overwhelmed" and "didn't ask for help".... a little unprofessional for him to say to us and not offer anything besides the above explanation.
