A nice, clean place in Jackson. I've eaten their lunch takeaway regularly and can't say they've ever done me wrong. Their nachos and salsa are always spectacular. Excellent customer service. Shout-out to Katelyn. I shall return. read more

I went to mesquite Mexican Berlin bar today. For lunch, I got it to go actually and my black beans were cold. I don't know why that is, but I had the fajita tacos and they were excellent. The rice is good service is good server was good, and it's a really good place to go and eat here in Jackson on the square. If you want to go there for lunch on your break or take your family there for lunch or dinner. So great place to eat read more

We had a big party and they accommodated us very well. Super good food and great location for all things Stranger Things. They had big screen TVs so we could catch the football game. read more

We stopped in for lunch while in town visiting friends for a wedding. This place is really nice inside, lots of bright decor and art. Parking was a breeze and we were seated immediately. The service was good and really fast. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and it was pretty much just juice, there was very minimal tequila for the price tag of $17. Honestly, everything was a bit pricey. For food, I ordered the mango salmon and mashed potatoes. It was pretty good until about half way through I noticed a dead fly laying face up on my plate. It was pretty bad and the fly didn't just happen to land there it was in the sauce under the salmon. I let our server know and he let his manager know. Not one person apologized or even seemed to care that I had an entire dead fly in my food. The manager just said they'd send another one and it "may take a while". I ended up telling my server I didn't want it anymore and just don't worry about it. He didn't understand me and they still brought out a new plate. I was with a party of 9 and by the time it came out everyone was done eating. We asked to have it removed from the bill and they did remove it then. But we shouldn't have had to ask. Also, my meal price on the menu was $17 and on the receipt it was $19. So that was odd. Before I noticed the fly, my meal was good. But after that it was downhill. I hope things improve at this spot. Seems like it could be a nice place overall. read more

First off the food is pretty good. The bartender Elizabeth is great. My warning is don't order to go because you get screwed. Thursday I ordered the carnitas to go, I was expecting chunks of pork, but what I got was little pieces and very little meat. The charro beans was more like soup than substance. I won't ever order on line or to go again. I'll order eat in and pack it up when its brought out. read more

Mesquite Mexican Grill & Bar - Hardly any meat just little pieces, pathetic for the money - Mexican Near Me - Jackson, Georgia

A bowl of cheese dip 9.99 really? Steak tacos so tough I couldn't eat them . They have really declined in quality of food and taste. Our service was slow, 10 min to have anyone take our drink order. They weren't that busy , just our server was laughing and talking by the bar. I'll think I'll pass next time . Not worth the money for lack of decent food read more

The food here is FANTASTIC. I personally ordered the pollo asado and it was a very nice blend with the sautéed vegetables and cheese. We had a huge party of almost 20 people and yet the waiters got everyone's drink out very quickly and the food followed not even ten minutes later. Staff was very friendly. The place was vibrant and welcoming. Perfect for a mexican restaurant. Although, the outside could use some glamor. read more

Great food and great service! I love their location in Monticello too, both have great management!

This is my small town favorite. Love the aesthetic love the ambience love it every time I go there the staff is wonderful. Food is cool. They've tried to stick to authentic Mexican food The best they can. (I'm from Cali so I may be a little biased). But the South as a palate for more of a Text Mex flavor and texture. My favorite is the Birria Tacos. read more

I would not recommend this place took my family there ordered a two-year-old and a four-year-old kids meal, which ended up costing me almost $14 apiece because we put grilled chicken on their taco instead of shredded chicken not knowing there was a five dollar a piece upgrade charge for that and when I brought it to the attention of the manager, that this was not informed to us he said sorry ma'am there is an upgrade charge and you already got the chicken. I proceeded to inform him we was never told about the extra charge at time of order he said sorry ma'am there is an upgrade charge and you already got the chicken. I understand that there is an upgrade charge, but that was not told to us at the time we ordered had we been told I could've just ordered one adult meal and them share it. read more

This will be the second time I have been here and the last time was a couple months ago and the food was really good. They have street parking and in Jackson, it is free for 2 hours and this was Sunday around 5 PM and parking was not a problem. They have a full bar and Draught beer thank goodness and you can get a 32 oz one .. yea!. They have a few domestics and of course Mexican beers. As with every Mexican restaurants, they make great margaritas. The have tables, booths and a bar that seats maybe 8-10 people. The chips they bring out are nice and crisp and light. Much better than many I have had at other places. I ordered a Molcajete, which has chicken, shrimp, grilled pork and steak and lots of other stuff served in a cool Volcano rock bowl. It also includes tortilla shells and a plate of beans and rice. It was huge and quite a bit for 14 dollars ... enough to share. I found it very tasty but some of the meat was grisly and actually had to spit some out into a napkin. I wish I could remember the cheese and meat cheese bowl as an appetizer. IT was awesome .. I added a messy picture of it... sorry... The service was great and the food was very good. I was a little concerned because some of the meat was grissly and took away from the overall experience. Overall it is a 3.5-4.0 because the quality for the price is very good. I will come again if I am in town. read more

Another racist establishment. Went here for lunch with my husband and daughter and no one served us. Credit is deserved when earned. I've been to this place several times and food has been consistently good. Ambiance - Mexican :) Customer Service - very friendly. If you are in this part of town, there aren't too many Mexican restaurants and this one is definitely worth trying. If you feel like altering the menu a bit, for a nominal price they will change to your liking. Just be nice to them and they will be extra nice to you. read more

I was impressed with the food and the service. Nice place, we will be back! Next time we'll have to try the margaritas..

Over priced, if you eat there it's alright but if you get it to go it's cold and not good

Standard Mexican fare with a sports bar kinda feel. The food is moderately priced and the portions are moderate as well. The highlight of the experience was the warm, thin, and deliciously crispy chips. Two kinds of salsa were also brought to the table. Neither were too spicy but both were flavorful. We also ordered a cheese dip, which my son loved! We fed the family of 5 for about $65 (3 of us had water to drink). There are large TVs playing various sports and music going as well. There is also a bar that is in the center of the main dining room, so it's pretty loud and busy. The wait staff was pretty attentive and kept our cups full. We enjoyed it and will be back but probably not for a date when we want to talk. It's a nice place for a fun meal with family and friends. read more

We love this Mexican restaurant! It's always fresh and speedy service. We compare all others to this one. Always hopping with crowds

First, if you get Ruth as your waitress, LEAVE. Secondly, don't waste your time talking to the manager. He will just tell you to request the waiter that took over Ruth's job because she can't handle her job of refilling a few glasses and bringing simple things like chips and salsa. If you want a manager that doesn't care, a waitress that sends someone else to do her job because you're asking for basic things, then please go here. read more

Nice place in downtown Jackson. Actually this little gem is spot on from service to food. Had the Mesquite Chicken Burrito on their lunch menu. Huge portion! Rice and beans were hot and ready. The burrito was packed! Server was a young local fellow, bilingual with the rest of the staff and very good. So if you ever in Jackson (nice little town by the way) then stop by for a bite at the Mesquite! Oh yes! Beware of those darn chips! You start you will not stop! read more

Absolutely the best Mexican I've ever had! The skinny Margarita was phenomenal !! Wish I lived closer!!

paid $6 for a chicken quesadilla and got no chicken and what tasted like a kraft-single cheese in a four tortilla.

Inexpensive and dependable Americanized Tex-Mex food. This place is always busy, and rightfully so. Everything on the menu is equally delicious, so order whatever you want without fear. Their desserts are surprisingly good, and their beer is surprisingly cheap. Great for large parties and people with small children. If you order take-out, be sure to call at least twenty minutes in advance, especially on the weekends. read more

Do not eat here. I have been here many times but will no longer be returning. The past few times there have been roaches crawling on the walls and tables. I was absolutely disgusted. The staff did not do anything about it when notified. I have heard many people comment about their roach problem, yet nothing has been done. The health board needs to pay this place a visit and shut it down. read more

My husband and I went for dinner here for the first time tonight. It was around 7 and the place was packed. The set up is not great in my opinion. You have no privacy and it's too loud to even talk. We felt like we were packed in like sardines. It took 10 minutes for anyone to even come to our table and at least 10 more minutes and 3 reminders to get our drinks. My husband ordered a dish that was supposed to come with shrimp and there were no shrimp though the manager did bring some on the side after being notified. The food was mediocre and the service was worse though the staff was nice enough. They are just too busy for the space and amount of staff. We most likely won't be returning. read more

Been here a couple of times during lunch hour and never had an issue... went tonight to get a take out order and was directed to the bar to place my order. There we 2 people standing behind the bar and I was the only customer at the bar. Waited 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me and the sliver haired bartender finally took my order after I stop the manager and asked if this is where I place a to go order. I waited another 15 minutes on nachos, when my food arrive a guy threw my bag on the counter and walked away. I looked around and saw the silver haired bartender sitting at a booth with about 4 other workers, she looked me and said that's your food and never got out of her seat. Service was horrible and I will not patronize again. read more
