A pretty large arcade bar. The games are super cheap and there are a decent amount of options. They serve pop culture themed drinks and there's a bunch of pop culture decor. The drink we got (red shirt) was a bit too sugary but fine. They also have free water. No food, but there is a snack machine. Only downside is that it was a bit dirty and the floors were not clean at all. The bathroom also smells bad. read more

I can't say enough good things about Reboot Retrocade & Bar. Visited a few months back and had a fun time reliving my youth with pinballs and Beer. I have an arcade game that needed some work because a previous company really messed it up and ripped us off. I happened to ask them who repaired their equipment and they gave me a contact name and number. That contact was Jeremy. Wow!! Such a nice person. He restored my faith in people. Very friendly bar keep and low prices for arcade games such as pinball, racing games, pac man, mortal combat and many of my favorite 80's and 90's games. I'm 57 and my son and daughter are 32 and 37 and we still like to play against each other for highest score lol. We had a little refreshing drinky drink and played like I was the pinball wizard. Games tart at 25 cents and some for 50 cents per game but you also get to play a while unless you really suck. It's really a nice fun place that is affordable. I will def be going more often. read more

My boyfriend has been coming to this place for years and he was so excited to bring me here and I totally understand why. We had a blast!! There are SO MANY pinball machines (dolly parton, hook, street fighter, so many more!) and all the classic retro games as well (pac man, street fighter, galaga, street racer, etc). The bar list was AMAZING! We spent a lot of time talking to the bar manager, Kayla, and she was so helpful and nice. My boyfriend is sober and she took a lot of time telling us all the sober and non-alcoholic options they have, and they have a lot!! That was such a nice surprise for both of us, because he usually just gets a soda. He got to try a nonalcoholic gin drink that he loved! I got a sour cherry gin drink that was the bomb.com.. not to mention, when I tried one of the blueberry bomb style drinks and Kayla poured my boyfriend some red bull for him to cheers with me. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness. They also have a handful of CBD and delta-8 drinks which we're excited to try next. Can't wait to play some games and enjoy this spot again! read more

This is a very cool concept bar and arcade! They have a lot of retro pinball games and arcades! The prices are very reasonable! Have a nice collection of beers to enjoy while taking out your friend or date in street fighter two, or an 18 hole match on golden tee. They also have a selection of board games as well! read more

So, it seems that after someone whined about my original review back in 2018, they managed to convince Yelp to remove it. The grounds for removal seemed to be that my original review did not contain "firsthand experience" as I was merely describing the vibe of the place from my observations as I walked past a couple of times each week. So, about a month later after my removal, I actually went inside this place and ordered one drink so that I could say that I had, indeed, had a firsthand experience with this establishment. My brief stay only managed to confirm my initial review's conclusions. While I had every intention of adapting my original review, I was then transferred to Houston, TX and I forgot about it! That is, until I found my old "To Do" list, today. Well, now... I'm serving up a classic with a modern twist. So, it's a bunch of nebbishy-looking guys milling around a bunch of old games and a very few women who do not interest me. It seems like such a sad place to end up that I could hardly bring myself to actually go inside and order one single drink--it's as Erlich Bachman says to his team in "Silicon Valley" when they are searching for a consultant amidst the ruined office space of a recently defunct company, "Don't touch anything! Failure is contagious." And yeah, there's some real loser energy on display, here. Almost as sad as a comic book store... You know, Yelp is saying, "This review is looking pretty epic! Nice!" And I agree--just like the first time I posted my accurate review, years ago. In my opinion, my original review never should have been taken down! The likely reasoning likely provided by the establishment seemed quite spurious to me at the time, but now I have adapted this review to fit the new reality that I actually provided this place a few bucks of revenue that one time before I left Macon--and I did so just so I could repost an updated version of my "epic" review! Super cool vibe and tons of games. We were visiting the area and were super impressed by this spot. Everyone was nice and there were so many games available. There is an entire pinball machine section. Bartender was attentive although it was a busy Saturday evening. Total bill was $29 for like 6 drinks. Hate to have to change my review... but this pace has started to go down hill. What used to be a clean and kept up place to go and have a few games of pinball has become disappointing. Machines are down, every screen is dirty and the floor is sticky from spilled drinks. The bartenders seem to be more concerned with their cell phones than the customers. It is still a fun concept and we will come back to play again. read more

This. Place. Is. Awesome! Stumbled upon it during the cherry blossom festival. We were hooked by the giant Jenga game outside on the patio. We then ventured inside and were instantly hit with nostalgia. We're late 80s kids and grew up in the boom of arcades, video games, but also board games. I feel as though this place was made for those who were born in the 80s and 90s. When walking in, you first notice the arcade games surrounding the walls of the establishment. There are also retro video games to play. Full bar. In the back they have a drop down projector screen for multi purpose use. The night we went they had a sports TV station going. There is a bookshelf full of board games including "oldies" like connect four and mouse trap but also the "newbies" like cards against humanity. Restrooms are clean. The details don't go unnoticed...this way to the mischief of magic! read more

Cool place. Great collection of arcade games from the 80s with the soundtrack playing in the background. And they sell alcohol! We took our kids here on a Saturday afternoon (I think it goes to 21 and over after 6pm). It was not crowded. The games run on arcade tokens and most games are 1 token play. My kids, 7 and 12, had a blast learning how to play "real" video games where you have a joystick, a fire button and not much else. And my wife and SIL got into a Frogger competition. Barcade time! We took a last minute day trip to Macon this past Saturday just to check out this arcade. Since its location is in the downtown part, I was expecting it to be a little overpriced. Not the case at all. The cocktails are all under 10 dollars and just one token per play. We had a great time here in the early afternoon( even with a bunch of kids screaming/running around). Tons of restaurants nearby too. It was worth driving an hour from home to here. read more

I found this place so cool. I'm excited that Macon is getting these types of businesses down town. The prices are very reasonable. You get a ton of bang for your buck, and you can play vintage games such as the N64 & Sega Genesis for FREE! You just have to turn in your license while playing. The arcade itself has lots of games that all take one token. You buy the tokens at the bar. I am pretty sure that you get four for a dollar. All in all, this place is the best of it's kind in Middle GA! Please go, you won't regret it. read more

Reboot is a newer place in Macon and has really added a new panache to the bar scene of the city. I'll get the one downfall out of the way upfront: their hours are terrible for a bar. They close super early, forcing the fun to stop and you end up at the less enticing establishments in town. The best part about this place is that you can play any game for only 25 cents! Simply ask one of the bartenders to trade your money for coins and you are good to go. I enjoy playing Crazy Taxi, the bowling game, the putting game, Pac-Man, and the pinball machines. The drinks here are reasonably priced as well. It does get packed some nights, but it is usually a good time overall. Will continue visiting when I am out and about in Macon. read more

TLDR: If playing arcade games and having some drinks with friends sounds fun to you, Reboot is your place. If I want to go out with friends and play some old school arcade and video games and have a couple of drinks, Reboot is going to be the type of place I'd want to go to. I like this concept for a bar and it definitely appeals to a more specific demographic. I'm not from Macon nor have I ever lived there, but parking seems to be wherever you can find it in downtown for any place you go to. My experiences have either been having a parking spot right by where I needed to go, other times it's been a couple of blocks walk. Either way, I found it best to park on Poplar and then walk a couple minutes to where I needed to go. Anyway, there are a ton of arcade games here and they all cost 25 cents to play. Basically you can exchange cash (and I guess buy with credit/debit) for the coins so you can start playing. If you got ten bucks, I think that will give you plenty of opportunities to play a good bulk of what they have to offer. There are also consoles available to play as well and I believe those are free. I didn't have any of the cocktails here, but based off of the menu, they seem decently priced. I had beer while I was here and they got a couple of good craft selections. Overall, really fun place to hang out at in downtown Macon. read more

I grew up in Macon and just recently moved back. Coming from Southern California, I was looking for a unique place to hang out. I definitely found it at Reboot. The vibe was super cool. The crowd was diverse and super chill. The video games were so much fun and different than anything I had ever done before when going out on a weekend evening. I didn't try any of the drinks so I cannot review that aspect. However, my brother did order a few beers and the bartenders acknowledged us right away and were great! Whether you live in Macon or are just visiting this place is definitely worth checking out! read more

Awesome place, always a good time. Only thing stopping this from being 5 stars is their drink menu..... none of their special drinks are vey good. Everything else a big thumbs up but it seems like they focuses more on the names of the drinks than what they actually taste like. You can get all the other common bar drinks like your everyday beers and liquors so not a major draw back. Wish it was open later as it tends to close early for a bar. No real qualms with that though but maybe a missed opportunity? Any hoot, give it a go. This is honestly a place you can go by yourself and probably leave having made some new friends. read more

One of the better arcade bars I've been too. It's still early and I know there are some kinks that will be worked out but on my first visit I'm pretty impressed. There is a space in there back that is still be worked on so I'm not sure what that will be used for but it needs to be an area for more arcade games because the amount they have right now will not keep a constant fan base coming regularly. My one big hit on this place is their cocktails. They are over priced, not explained on their menu and woefully under poured. If I'm paying 8 bucks for a mixed drink it better have more than a quarter ounce of one liquor and a quarter ounce of one liqueur or I'm getting ripped off, no way around it. All in all a pretty cool place especially for Macon. read more

First time visiting this newly opened arcade bar: The drink menu is pretty cool and the cocktails, which they call "elixirs" are good. Me and my friend both got the "fraggle on the rocks" cocktail and it was good. They have a good selection of games. Local artists work on the walls which you can purchase. The bar is decent and we generally like going if we're killing time before a show or want to have a drink and do something fun after dinner. Best bar for a group of friends, until midnight. I say that because the bar closes at 12 which is probably the only downside to this place. They should really consider keeping this place open till about 1. Friendly people and fun arcade games. They also have a huge selection of board games and plenty of room to play them. Might not be your cup of tea if you don't like arcade games but I doubt you'll have a bad time either way. read more
