I am actually very conflicted on how to write this review. I have been here a handful of times and enjoyed my experience each time, until now. Pros: Beautiful views of downtown. Very elegant and well decorated. Ambiance is something noteworthy and picturesque. Cons: Pricy. I reckon this is to be expected, but $50 for three cocktails was somewhat shocking when you can buy a bottle for 1/3 the price. They are very heavy handed on ice, plus they do use the little measuring cups for ounces vs a straight pour. They did not honor the promotional drink card given out a few months ago. There is no expiration date on it. I double and triple checked that before even going. I had also had wanted to try an espresso martini, but they said they could not do it. Staff was a little snippy. No smiling, no conversation, no interaction...it reminded of going through a McDonalds and they just throw the food at you after you pay. There is also no heating outside. Amazing views and vibe at this rooftop bar. Stopped by for a beverage before attending a concert across the street. I ordered a Laid Back and it was so good. Just the right amount of sweetness. I would order again. My friend ordered a I gotta feeling and it was a little too spicy for her. Great staff. Very helpful. Recommend to anyone looking for a drink with a view. It's sad that I only found this place as I was ensing my trips to Georgia. I did, however, get the chance to stay at Hotel 45 twice, so this bar was on my chill list every stay. Views are beautiful, bartenders are excellent, and the ambiance is amazing. Limited menu at the bar, for food. But I highly recommend the wings! They pair nicely with a good bourbon. I came with a friend on a week night. When we arrived there was no one there so we were able to easily take a seat at the bar. Service was quick because of this. I started with the Win Lose Or Draw which is a take on the French 75. Very good. I then tried the Laid Back which was also very good. Though in the moment I think I enjoyed the first cocktail a bit more. Unfortunately it was a bit chilly out to sit outside, but the outdoor area looked very nice. Inside was spacious enough. Love that the building is now a hotel and bar! Downtown has changed a lot over the last decade and this was a nice addition. There was only one bartender. Over the time I was there everyone who came through was served relatively quickly. So it seems that on a chill night one bartender works nicely enough. However, I can't imagine how service could be during busier times. Despite this I enjoyed my time and service. Next time though I really hope to be able to enjoy the outside rooftop area. read more

The steak frites were delicious!! I didn't pay attention to the menu notation that the frites were yams (aka sweet potatoes) and that was a perfect pairing! I'd give it 5 stars if, instead of ketchup, the dipping sauce was honey-mustard! The lounge/bar area is nicely decorated. A masculine-feel, which is great. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. The only positive thing that happened while we were there was getting to leave. To start we ordered 3 mixed drinks and a glass prosecco. Even though we were standing right in-front of the Champagne flute, the bartender decided to pour it into a white wine glass. And when I say this prosecco was flat, I mean it was not only so flat it only bubbled every 10-15 mins(that's me being nice), the flavor itself was so off, when we asked for another one the bartender poured a taste for herself and my boyfriend, then told us, even though it was open 2 days ago, it tasted great and nothing was wrong with it but she will pour me another glass out of the same bottle POURING HER BACKWASH INTO MY DIRTY GLASS MIXING IT WITH THE STILL FLAT PROSECCO. So we offer to pay for the entire bottle just so I can have a fresh glass and she refuses because she can't have two open bottles at the same time, nor is she allowed to waste anything even if it's bad. The cocktails were 85% mixer. And when the manager came out to talk to us, it was very apparent that it was our fault, and they were gracious enough to not charge us for 2 of the 3 glasses of Prosecco.(they where doing us a huge favor) And there is no way the Prosecco was bad because he carried it upstairs today. (So someone is lying) when we went to check out the smirk on the bartenders face was like she won an award. If it was up to me I wouldn't have tipped her a penny. Don't waste your time coming here if you actually like cocktails and care about what you're putting into your body. And also don't expect them to actually ring you up for the proper drinks you ordered. You'll end up paying for your friends drinks instead. I didn't deserve to drink your employee's back wash, let alone pay for it. read more

The bartenders are very slow. You have to get your drinks at the bar. I stood there for quite a long time. Someone sat down and they immediately served them. They really don't understand service and are very haphazard. I think it is probably because none have ever served at a high end restaurant. I don't think this place will make it with service like this. read more

This place is new so I will give it the benefit of the doubt and chalk up my visit to growing pains. I gave it 3*'s for the outdoor deck. The outdoor section is very nice with great views. Unfortunately is goes down hill from there, but nothing that can't be fixed. Prior to going I was told by numerous people that the drinks were weak. Interesting since the menu has many signature drinks that should be on the stringer side. Having been in the industry it did not take long to see the issues. I assume management requires the bartenders to use a jigger to insure correct pours. No problem with that, however the bartender never filled the jigger up to the top on his pours. Significantly under pouring the drink. Unless it was the mixer/juice. Hence all of drinks I watched him make were going to be weak and taste off. The other issue is they were SLOW. Way understaffed. The bar had probably 20 people and the two bartenders could not keep up. Also the bar was not very organized. Sort of a mess. All the pictures on their website are obviously stock photos since the bar looks nothing like that. If they get the bartenders retained and add some more staff this will be a very nice spot. Right now go for the view, but not sure I'd stay for a drink. I will be back since I am hoping this place improves. read more

So many issues with this visit, during the Cherry Blossom festival. Children and teens were running amuck on the rooftop bar seating area, turning cartwheels, having teen girl drama, etc. We didn't expect to find anyone under 21 at 11:00 PM in the seating area of a bar. We noted a couple trying to have a quiet moment and enjoy the view, decided to leave. The noise inside and outside the bar was high. Also experienced the best and worst m'ai t'ai's. First bartender was great. She was a professional. The second bar tender poured bacardi, OJ and grenadine in a glass over a little ice and handed them to me. They weren't cold and tasted pretty bad. First pair of drinks was about 21.00, second pair was 25.00. Not sure why. Not sure I'll return. read more
