Standard Kroger in most ways with the exception of the service, which was less than stellar when you actually receive it. I only had a few items, so I was looking for a quick checkout, especially since it wasn't that busy, but that isn't how it really happened. The cashiers that were on duty were not paying attention and wondered off twice while I was waiting to get a register and actually check out. They wondered down a few lanes to chat with another cashier and during this chat multiple people needed and had to wait for assistance. The store itself was decently stocked, clear of debris and clean for the most part, even the exterior was well kept. I am never in this area, but on the occasion that I do pass through...I will probably just wait to hit another spot.

She says there is no one to help me even though there are at least 5 other people working. I say I will just wait here. I am told that the 2 that can help me are both on the phone and they are too busy to help. So I stand there waiting on my prepaid RX while the snarky cashier helps every other customer except me. After they clear out all the other customers she tells me she can get me now. One of the other two that can help is off the phone but didn't even bother. Don't offer a service that you don't provide and then have nasty, mean girl staff make sure they don't help you. Complete customer service fail and unfriendly service on top of not delivering what service that you promised and promote. Also don't think you will get help from the Publix corporate office either. After 6 calls of being hung up on and transferred all over the place because there is no "CARE" in their Customer Care, I finally was able to leave a message for a "Mike Chavez" over the Pharmacy services for store #1052. Did he give me a call back? No he did not. And based on Publix's total lack of caring about the customer, I am sure I won't hear from him tomorrow either.

La Unica offers small tacos (more on that in a second), burritos, tortas, and the usual fare. Just looking for a quick afternoon snack, I opted for two of their small tacos which come on corn tortillas that are about half the size of standard corn tortillas. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, and the tacos were piled high and delicious. If you're particularly hungry I would suggest getting 3-4 of them though. I went with my usual standbys and ordered one taco each of carne asada and carnitas. The carnitas were a little greasy but still very satisfying as was the carne asada. The star of the show, however, is their red casera style hot sauce. This stuff will light you up and is exploding with the rich flavors of dried chilies which really come into their own once they blend with the flavors of your food. A teaspoon or two on your taco and you're in business!
