This was my first time here. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here during lunch. I had to get the concept at first. So, in case you're like me and don't know. I should be embarrassed. But the girl at the counter made me feel like I knew what I was doing as she guided me. So it's chicken salad in an assortment of flavors, served with great-tasting crackers. I can eat the crackers alone. You can order fruit, salad, or soup to add. Or get one of their delicious sandwiches. You can also create your own meal. I really love the concept. As I said earlier, I stayed for a while after lunch because of the calming vibe. I like the light green walls with the writing and beautiful drawings. I had such a good lunch and a lovely time here. Great Great experience! This was our first time exploring the restaurant and it didn't disappoint. From the welcome in to the nice decor. Service was fast and the people were nice. The wife had the bacon cheddar melt meal and I had the 2 scoops and 1 side. We added one drink to share. Total was $28.26 and more than enough food. I had to help her finish hers. Hehe. The scoops I got were the jalapeño holly and kickin Kay. Both were phenomenal. The beverage machine was nice and clean also. I can't speak for the restroom as I didn't have to go. A good lunch restaurant that starts with chicken salad, and varies the recipe to offer it's patrons different variations, along with soups and salads. Their website is great, as you can place your order online and pick it up a short time later. Not wanting fast food, nor a sit-down restaurant, I came across Chicken salad chick. It was a great compromise to traditional fast food. Honestly, these are my favorite daily types of restaurants. I was able to order my sandwich online, customize it with a side, and pick it up fairly quickly. They have an area to pick up your online order, so you don't have to wait in the order line. This area of McDonough gets so congested and even though there are many food options, this restaurant does not disappoint. You can sit down here and have a wonderful relaxing lunch in the colorful restaurant. The sandwich I chose was the Fancy Nancy, and was very tasty. the cranberries, apples, grapes and pecans were a great mixture to the chicken salad. This was not a regular traditional chicken salad sandwich, as it has a lot of chicken in there, which helps to fill you up. I also added a cup of their loaded Potato soup which was amazing! The best part of my meal was that it came with a mini buttercream frosted cookie! That was such a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to trying more of their food options in the future. read more

I just visited Chicken Salad Chick, where three workers assisted me. I walked in to order a chicken salad BLT on wheat bread, along with grape salad and a soup. After getting to my car, I realized my BLT had no bacon, so I walked back in to ask the workers for some. They returned my plate, but this time it had no cookie and was served on a white croissant instead of the wheat bread I had asked for. I also noticed there was no pickle. I went back inside, asked for the pickle, and decided to try the croissant--even though I had intended to be healthier with the wheat bread. I received the pickle and returned to my car. When I opened my plate, I saw there was still no cookie. I went back in, and the workers started laughing. The girl who had assisted me earlier, a dark-skinned black girl with a long braid down her back, was sweeping and chuckled as I asked for a cookie. I approached the counter, where they handed me the cookie nonchalantly, and then I went back to my car. By this point, my soup was cold, and I felt a bit tired and embarrassed for having to ask for my meal to be corrected, especially since it seemed to bother the staff. I wouldn't want to have to enter a fourth time. I've spent over 30 minutes trying to get a quick meal. I no longer live in McDonough, but when I come home to visit family, I don't plan on returning to this Chicken Salad Chick, even though it's my favorite chain for a nice, healthy meal. I strongly suggest that the owner work with their staff on improving customer service and attention to detail. read more

Ate at one in Flowood Ms. It was great! So we decided to eat at this one. The first thing you see when you walk in is the Health Department Rating! It was in the 80's. There was no one else eating but me and the wife in this place. I can see why now. We both got upset stomachs and the service was horrible. I was really stoked to go to Chicken Salad Chick as it was founded in my home state of Alabama in the city of Auburn (should be one star off just for being in Auburn...Roll Tide). I was excited to try the pimento cheese BLT as southerners know how to make great home made pimento and cheese. However excitement turned to disappointment very quickly. Don't get me wrong, the customer service was great and the restaurant itself felt like any deli like place similar to Jason's deli, etc. So ambiance nothing special but the seating was comfortable. Now the disappointing part. My pimento and cheese was full of ONIONS . In all my time living in Alabama and Georgia we (southerners) just don't make pimento and cheese with onions. REAL southern pimento cheese does not have onions. The onions ruined the consistency and texture of the sandwich plus the onion was the overbearing flavor in the sandwich. If you are not an onion lover, do not eat here. After a couple of bites of my sandwich I had to throw it in the garbage and leave. Worst sandwich I ever had. Additionally the food is over priced. $10+ for a sandwich on loaf bread with cheese spread and two strips of bacon sure doesn't add up to the price If you love onions...big chunks of onion...you will love this place. Drove by this restaurant after leaving work one day. The exterior is very appealing so I decided to give them a try. I ordered their signature chicken salad with a garden salad underneath. The salad was great, they give you a pickle and some crackers for the chicken salad on top. The chicken salad to me lacked flavor and didn't have any celery in it. I believe I got their classic chicken salad which would explain the lack of variety. Overall it was a 4/5, the staff were very helpful and friendly. I'm in town for a work gig and wanted something quick and easy for dinner tonight. Chik-fil-A was right next to my hotel but I just wasn't feeling it. Then I remembered seeing some sort of chicken salad restaurant while I was driving today and a quick Yelp search turned up the Chicken Salad Chick about a half-mile away. For $14 I got a big scoop of their classic chicken salad, a spinach salad with bacon, apples, cranberries (IIRC), goat cheese or something like it and pecans, a small mac & cheese and a large iced tea. They threw in four packs of great wheat crackers for my scoop, two dill pickle spears and two cookies. It was an excellent meal! Everything was fresh and tasty and while Chick-fil-A has some good stuff on their menu, this was far beyond CFA in terms of quality and freshness. I did a carry-out order and from the time I ordered until they handed me my bag of food it was less than five minutes. So they're quick, too. If I get done with work early tomorrow I may swing by again to try their curry chicken salad. read more

The chicken salad is good. The accuracy of the people making the food isn't. I have been there twice in the last 3 weeks. The first time I ordered the classic chicken salad sandwich on untoasted white with pasta salad as a side. My sandwich was toasted and I didn't get any side at all. Today was my second trip and I ordered the southern style classic, toasted white, fresh fruit as a side and a large diet Coke. I got the classic regular chicken salad, on toasted white, fruit, and a sweet tea. If I had not been running around doing DoorDash at the time I would have swung back in. The folks there are nice and friendly, but the accuracy on the orders, so far, leaves a bit to be desired. I'll most likely be back though because the chicken salad is good. I am no stranger to CSC, however, it was my first visit to this location. My, my, my, I was not disappointed. I ordered through the CSC app, and when I arrived, I drove through the drive thru to retrieve my order. The service was friendly, and my order was ready. My meal... a croissant with "Olivia's Old South" sandwich and sides (broccoli salad minus bacon, grape salad minus the brown sugar and pecans), and it was delicious! I also ordered a side of Miss Vickie's Sea Salt chips. "The Chick" comes with a pickle and a cute buttercream little cookie. I'll be visiting this location soon. We were greeted immediately as we entered the door and one of the associates shared her favorite flavors. The managers were present and walking around the main floor. They were warm and inviting. Yay! Another Chicken Salad Chick (CSC) for me to eat at (& review)! The first thing that stands out about this location is that it has a drive thru, so you can get your CSC on the go! The other locations I have been to do not offer that. This location is spacious and offers booths as well as tables to dine at. The staff here has been well trained. There are always enough staff present to help customers with their needs. Food is served efficiently and with a smile and the restaurant is always spotless every time I visit. Their sweet tea has been some of the best that I've ever had. I caught myself getting up to get "just one more" refill. I ordered my usual: Barbie-Q on a croissant with the broccoli salad as my side. There is nothing good about this place except maybe the chairs. Stood in line for 20 minutes to order and when I finally made it to the counter, the girl taking my order had only "I dunno know" answers for any of the menu items I was interested in. I finally settled on 2 sandwiches, a Pimento Cheese BLT and a Chicken Salad BLT. Both were terrible. I'd rather have a brown bag school lunch that had been sitting on the back of the bus all day long than pay $20. The bread which was supposed to be toasted was chewy and cold. The Jalapeño Holly on Wheat Toasted is my go to however I get really disappointed that a meal only comes with a small bag of chips that literally takes the sandwich from $6 to $9 and doesn't include a drink. The chicken salads are so good. I usually get the one that has grapes, apples, and pecans in it. It is my favorite. You can also get a side item with it. I haven't been to the one in McDonough, only been to the one in Stockbridge. They do have quite a few different chicken salad choices to pick from, chicken salad sandwich, or you can get as a scoops or two. Check them out, especially if you are a chicken salad lover. Great food, great dine in also. l like to eat there for a late lunch. I almost forgot, they have soups too. I can't make chicken salad as good as Chicken Salad Chick. Tried this place for the first time today. We really enjoyed it! My kids got the traditional chicken salad on the blt and I got the cranberry Kelli on toast with lettuce and tomato. The broccoli salad was awesome and the little cookie on the side was a nice surprise and treat. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was I think the chicken salad I got could use a bit more of the cranberry and almond. Other than that, it was great and we will be back. read more
