Crispy Tenders ($13.25): These were a table favorite. They nailed the external crunch without sacrificing the moisture of the chicken inside.Crunch on the outside, seasoned all the way through, and still tender inside. The Sweet Finish I'm officially a fan of their Texas Peach Cobbler. It leans more cake-like than soupy, which I prefer. It tasted fresh, warm and held its structure, making it a solid closer for a heavy meal. Service & Value The moment we walked in, the staff offered a genuine verbal welcome. The service was efficient, and the restaurant maintained a clean, organized look despite the steady flow of customers. At roughly $14-$15 for a plate with two sides and a roll, the portion size makes the pricing very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Everything was lovely at the Cowboy Chicken !!!!!! It almost reminded me back home of Pollo Tropical and La Granja but it stands on its own. I got the half of chicken with all dark meat, with Spanish rice, and black beans. I had to throw some fries in there which they did not disappoint. My sister in law and I had a couple bites of chicken each that tasted a bit off to both of us. We ended up with food poisoning which was not fun. I reached out to the location twice and was completely ignored. I'm glad others have had decent experiences here but we will never go back. I come to cowboy chicken for good, healthy food. My favorite thing to order is the quarter. Chicken with sweet potato and corn. The service here is really great. Food comes out pretty quickly. There is always plenty of seating. I would recommend if you're in the South Point Shopping area to come here for a healthy meal. read more

Party Size: 3 Adults & 1 Toddler I had the opportunity of visiting the infamous Cowboy Chicken in McDonough, GA after seeing a quick video review on TikTok. The reviewer was showing the different options that were available and had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. It looked delicious and I knew I had to try it out for myself. When I entered Cowboy Chicken, the ambiance was very calm and smelled amazing with the rotisserie chickens spinning in the large glass display oven. The service was absolutely amazing and very patient with my grandmother who's close to 80 YO with her food selection. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich w/ French fries and ranch. Y'all, when I tell you that the fries and ranch combo was AMAZING!! Also, I know some people don't discuss the drink combination with their food selection, but I would recommend their Stawberry Lemonade if you like a tart taste or try their Sweet Tea as it's not overly sweet. I used Cowboy Chicken for catering services on three very large orders, and it was AMAZING! Each order was for roughly 200 people. They delivered on time and the food tasted great! The food was fresh and great quality. The service was exceptional and they really took care of us. I especially loved the follow up messages on how the food was, and the clear communication on my order being prepared and delivered. This is a great company to use for catering purposes. They have many different options to choose from and the boxed meals and super simple and easy to serve to large groups. I will for sure be using cowboy chicken again and recommend other companies looking to cater large groups to use them! I got a three-piece dark meat chicken dinner with two sides. The sides were black beans and fried okra. The fried okra was an extra four dollars. I don't mind paying the four dollars but the okra was cold. I could smell that the black beans came straight out of the can before I could even open them. The chicken was hard so I could tell it was old and had been sitting there for a while. It was lukewarm at Best. I have had better experiences at this restaurant before so my advice to you is to a: don't get the black beans, b: make sure the okra is freshly fried, and the chicken is hot and fresh. read more

I was looking for a light lunch when I was traveling and found a corporate salad place with my GPS. As I pulled in the parking lot I was Cowboy Chicken in the same parking lot. Since this is not somewhere I could eat at home I chose this instead and boy was it a great choice. This is an order and pay at the counter place where they bring the food to your table. When I walked in I was greeted by one of the owners right away. There was a pit spinning with a bunch of rotiserre chickens spinning that looked really good. Since I had been driving I went to the restroom first. I found everything in working order, well stocked and very clean. This is a big deal to me, I restrooms are dirty I wonder about the kitchen. When I went to the counter to order I was greeted by a young man who knew about everything on the menu. I landed on the kickin cobb salad. The salad was crisp and fresh, even the avocoda which was not showing any brown. The chicken was all breast meat, cut in large chunks but tender enough to cut with a fork for smaller bites. It was served with jalepenos on top and a southwest dressing of some sort. I eat a lot of salads and would go here again for that alone. I spoke to a man who was having the chicken dinner. He said it was excellent and the sides were very good. It was his first time here also. I was looking for a place to put my tray and a lady told me that I just leave it on the table and they take care of it. Very unpleasant experience today I ordered $570 worth of chicken today to be delivered. The lady showed up accusing me of giving her the wrong address. Come to find out it was her GPS that was taking her to the wrong place. When I confronted her about it, she told me she was the owner of the company and did not argue with customers. I had never heard of Cowboy Chicken until recently. So I was in the area and wanted something quick and new. Cowboy Chicken is a rotisserie chicken joint that isn't fried or dripping with any form of sauce. If you're looking for something like that, this isn't the place for you. I can say the chicken was good and moist, but the side dishes I tried were not that great. First, the dishes were so small, I'm sure a child in kindergarten would ask for seconds...Lordy! Luckily, the chicken comes with two sides and a roll, which is pretty good. I was still a little hungry upon leaving. Service was quick and easy. My only complaint was the area where you fixed your condiments, and beverages could have used a little attention. My wife and I visited this restaurant on March 25, 2025. Casual place. Fairly large. You walk up to the counter and order. I got the Tinga chicken bowl, my wife ordered Tinga chicken enchiladas. This was our first time eating here. It was so delicious and had something for everyone in our group. The fried okra was cooked to our liking and was so delicious. There wasn't any left. I had the chicken wings and they were so yummy. I also had the street corn and boy was it a little spicy (be prepared). My daughter had the chicken tender and mac and cheese combo. My husband had a protein bowl and my uncle got a chicken dish where as my mom got brisket. We were so amazed at how super moist the meat was, and the variety offered that we can't wait to return. Barely any chicken was added to the bowls and overall just plain lack luster with no seasoning. My son ordered the brisket and chicken which he claims the brisket was way too salty. Sides disgusting. First time here, went to Locust Grove Outlet and used Yelp to find lunch. We viewed the menu online. Realizing it was some 10 mins away, we opted to try it. From their online menu, it puts you in the mind of Boston Market. Once we arrived, the layout was unique. You order at the counter and the young lady was was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. We ordered a Half Chicken (all white $1 up charge) with 2 sides. I had the MacNChz and Green Beans. My friend had the Pulled Chicken Sandwich with fries and a side of MacNChz. We also had regular sized drinks. Overall decent sized portions. At roughly around noon, my biggest disappointment was that NONE of the food was hot. Barely room temperature. The half chicken was dry and lacked flavor. I used some bbq sauce and hot sauce to try and liven it up. The Pulled Chicken sandwich was ok. Should maybe add pickles to the sandwich. If the food had been hot, that may have helped. Overall, for $32, I was left unsatisfied. There was a decent crowd there: Several dirty tables. The bathrooms were clean. Giving a 3 out of 5 for the customer service basically. The young girl, hobbling around, bringing out the food and trying to clear the tables. More spice and heat definitely needed. read more

The staff at Cowboy Chicken are very friendly, and the atmosphere is fine for a fast food restaurant. However, they lost one star for cleanliness. My wife and I went to five different tables before finding one that wasn't in need of a wipe down. Several of the tables still had people's trays sitting there with uneaten food--a real turn off. The cashier saw us struggling and came out to quickly bus a table for us. Then she got busy and cleaned all the others and removed the trays. Later I saw the bus boy return from an apparent break. He looked like one of these guys that hates their job, molasses for blood type. I still give kudos to the cashier for doing his job for him. The food was very good. Good seasoning on the chicken (the rotisserie is positioned where incoming customers can see the chicken being cooked.) I really liked the ranch style beans. They were spicy, which I like. The mac & cheese was good, too. Overall, this is a fine fast food Chicken place, and I would have no trouble recommending it to others. The Mexican street corn was delish and I can't say enough about how polite and friendly the staff were. I never encounter that kind of service in Orlando-ever! Good job guys, keep up the great work.
