Average food, long wait, and they stole a tip. Waited in a cold like where most of the options on the menu weren't even available

Great customer service. I purchased the Jazzy Rub and it's great on Beef and Seafood. Quality product.

She expanded from cooking for her churchfellows. Spacious room, 20+ tables, clean. Serve perch, mullet, catfish as well as bbq'd meats. Baked beans are a star--richly maple-sweet and meaty. Lima beans made with pig tail bones and flavorful but perhaps too salty. Baked mac & cheese was great/cheesy, but I'm a creamier/not baked fan. Unique peach cobbler with a light cake and peaches on the bottom. Delicious change. Anxious to try the grits & fish breakfast. I have no doubt Mz Babae will have a following with her southern/soul food. PROS--friendly staff, (Danica-attentive server) sat quickly, nice flavors, great prices, fair portions, served piping hot, owner visited table, real silverware & plates, great menu options including burgers and sandwiches, hot dogs, serve breakfast, lunch & supper CONS-unpleasant odor upon entering, water tastes like well water, didn't enjoy pig tail bones in the meaty lima beans and the (delicious) baked beans, Pepsi products.

The staff are very friendly. The kitchen is a little slow getting the food out, but i believe that will improve once the kinks are worked out before the actual Grand Opening. Overall, I would recommend it. I will review again when I go for breakfast and/or lunch

At first I thought the prices were a little high but then I saw what all we got and it was well worth what they charge. We actually were confused at first by the Vegan trailer outside. I assumed they cooked in the house and sold out of the food trailer but that is a whole separate business, when I asked for meat they said "over there." We went inside the house and we were greeted by 2 nice beautiful ladies that explained all our questions, as it was our first trip in, and we put our order in. There is a good bit of room inside if you want to dine in but we were on the road so Togo it was. We ordered the 2 ribs lunch, a half rack which was 6 bones and the pork sandwich. I got the hot bbq on the half rack and it was actually medium in hotness just fyi. I'm not a huge fan of beef ribs because most people can't get them tender enough but TOH did the deed and they were fairly tender. We will be back again to try other options.

Being from Texas I'm a barbecue snob. I Grabbed one of my best friends and he and I took the ride to McDonough Georgia to check out this small little house with a rusty BBQ Pit in the back to taste the barbecue. When we pulled up music was playing and I enjoy music when I'm eating. Initially the way the location looked I wasn't sure if they had a place for us to sit cuz this was my first time. I will admit I was nervous for the experience but the young lady at the counter was Pleasant enough even though the first two things I asked for they were already sold out of and to be honest they were had only been open for a couple hours at the time. So I ordered a half a pound of rib tips and 2 rib bones some yellow rice and potato salad. My friend got a pound of the rib tips green beans and potato salad. We sat down and started talking and before we could really get in a conversation the food was ready. that was a huge plus. Instead of driving the 45 minutes back home to eat we decided to sit in the restaurant and enjoy the food hot. First bite I was like oh yeah it's official. They had a honey mustard barbecue sauce mix they give you with the rib tips it was okay but again I'm from Texas just give me straight barbecue sauce on the side because I need to taste the meat first and make sure it's legit. The meat was delicious with no sauce that's the true test of barbecue so it was 10 out of 10 for the barbecue. The potato salad taste like it was Resers Fine Foods store-bought potato salad and I was cool with it because I actually like that particular potato salad and I use it when I don't want to make it myself. The yellow rice was the other side I chose and it was a little underwhelming a little crunchy so it was dried out a bit which was kind of disappointing but it didn't ruin the experience overall. The portion size was good enough for me to actually bring some home and stop somewhere else and get sides and make another meal out of it so that was a plus. So go and check out a Taste of Heaven's Rib Shack. I regret I didn't take pictures to post for y'all but take my word the barbecue is the main event, stay for the main event. The sides are the undercard. I'll go back for the main event.

Welcome back to the table…read more I find that most people dismiss rotisserie chicken as "basic," but finding one that is actually seasoned through to the bone is harder than it should be. I stopped by the Cowboy Chicken in McDonough looking for something reliable, and it delivered that specific, wood-fired comfort that's hard to replicate at home. The vibe is laid-back and rustic exactly what you'd expect from a spot centered around an open flame. The Spread We didn't hold back on the order, covering everything from the signature rotisserie to the brisket and bowls. The Signature Chicken: They use a dry rub and slow-roast the meat over real wood. The result is a juicy, tender interior with skin that carries a slight, salty crispness. What stood out most was the flavor penetration; the seasoning wasn't just sitting on the surface. Unlike many rotisserie spots where the center feels neglected or underdone, this was consistent throughout. It holds its own without needing sauce. The Sides: The Spanish Rice surprised me. Fluffy, well-seasoned, shelly in texture, and the addition of corn gave it a nice sweetness. The Mac and Cheese was a bit of a curveball; it's more on the liquid, saucy side, but the flavor builds on you the more you eat. The fries were perfect and held a solid crisp even after sitting for a bit. We ended up getting a second basket of Fries because the crunch held up beautifully, even as they cooled down. The Coleslaw will be a hit or miss for some, we had mixed reviews. The shredded cabbage was thicker than normal but the other half of the table it was perfect. Tinga Bowl ($14.00): If you want something that feels a bit lighter but still packs a punch, this is it. The shredded chicken has a balanced kick, paired with corn relish, black beans, and a sprinkle of "Cowboy Dust" for heat. It's refreshing but filling. Layered with rice, beans, corn relish, avocado, crema it all balances out. Not heavy, but still satisfying. Brisket Sandwich (13.75: The bread was lightly toasted, cradling pulled brisket that was smoky and not juicy because we needed sauce for it but the flavor was there. Crispy Tenders ($13.25): These were a table favorite. They nailed the external crunch without sacrificing the moisture of the chicken inside.Crunch on the outside, seasoned all the way through, and still tender inside. The Sweet Finish I'm officially a fan of their Texas Peach Cobbler. It leans more cake-like than soupy, which I prefer. It tasted fresh, warm and held its structure, making it a solid closer for a heavy meal. Service & Value The moment we walked in, the staff offered a genuine verbal welcome. The service was efficient, and the restaurant maintained a clean, organized look despite the steady flow of customers. At roughly $14-$15 for a plate with two sides and a roll, the portion size makes the pricing very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Table Approved This is the spot for a high-quality, fuss-free family dinner or a solo lunch when you're craving real wood-fired flavor without the fast food aftertaste. It's dependable, flavorful, and worth a visit for the chicken alone. Follow along where food meets adventure - Shallonz Table.
